Very Bad- never I was so nervous like using this app

The App hasn’t capacity to say the ticket that you are buying is for train totally full, no place for.You get the message like something fail in app and you can try many times no success. And when you call the DB number you wait, wait and wait for an free agent that never happen. Pls change your IT team. And I gave 1 star because the app did not permit send with zero star. Another thing is myself can not do 2 rewiews without change the nickname, ridiculous

Don’t try to change tickets on this app

The worst experience. We had first class tickets from Germany to Italy on an EC. Tried to change to an earlier train. Apparently the app allows to change “seats” to a different train, but not actual trains! So we ended up with seats on the earlier train and no actual train ticket. The app needs to be a lot more clear about such distinctions. The conductor could do nothing to help except sell us second set of tickets with no seats. Another problem - why can’t the app show us where free seats are so we can reserve seats. Even conductor’s app could not show free seats so we and luggage were tossed from seat to seat for the next three hours.

Best transportation app I’ve ever used

I use the DB app almost every other week in my travels to my partner’s apartment in the Netherlands. This app consistently lets me get tickets on the go, has access to all web features, let’s me pick my seat (which most others don’t), and if there is a delay shows me the next best options to get to my destination. It also shows all the time tables in the Netherlands as well which is convenient. I also love that my bahn card is stored within the app. They really thought of everything!

Good on WiFi, bad on cellular

There is a 30 second timeout to make it all the way through the ticket selection and purchase pages. I can do this with maybe a few seconds to spare on WiFi but only once ever had it work on cellular. I’d HIGHLY recommend this be increased to 120 seconds. I think even Ticketmaster gives you far longer than 120 seconds.

No In-App Refund for DB Cancellation

Received a notification indicating that my train has been canceled and advising me to find alternative routing, but no other routing was possible. The fare was not automatically refunded (I had to “request” a refund) nor was an alternative trip automatically given.Shortly before the scheduled time of departure I received another notification indicating that I could check in before my travels, which definitely was canceled.No information was given as to the reason for the cancellation. Additionally I tried to get a refund from the DB ticketing counter, they agent rudely handed me an envelope and told me I have to request a refund via post. I will be contacting my bank to dispute the charges. She also gave no indication if the trip could be refunded, or whether the return ticket could be refunded.

No real time Information

Evert time there is a Problem with a train the app doesn’t give up to date information. I don’t know how many time I got a message from the app thanking me for traveling with the dB and where to exit, but the train was canceled or heavily delayed and I was still far away from my destination. So it’s good for booking tickets but it’s totally unreliable for any information out of the ordinary. And out of the ordinary seems to be the new standard for the dB. Writing this from a freezing platform from a again delayed train.

Can be glitchy

Normally I love the app, but recently I’ve noticed some problems with it. It tells me I must update my BahnCard but it didn’t tell me how. I googled it, and whenever I swipe down on the screen in the BahnCard section of the app like I’m apparently supposed to, I get a notification that I‘m blocked from accessing my account for half an hour because I’ve tried multiple times to unsuccessfully log in. And the BahnCard still isn’t updated.

No booking for others

You can only book a ticket for yourself with this app. None of the DB policies are spelled out in the app. You either have to know them or you read them after you buy your ticket. For example, you need to bring the credit card with you that you used to book your ticket. As long as you're familiar with Deutsche Bahn, this app can be convenient. But if you are not familiar with DB policies, better to book your ticket on the website.

Deutchebahn is total scam

First of all they have draconian return policy. Meaning that you have to pay 1.5 times more to have change policy. I bought 4 tickets totaling $500 I couldn’t ride and they didn’t refund me the cost. It’s a scam.Also if you bought a ticket that doesn’t mean you have a seat. So it’s not like you’re getting assigned a random seat. That means you can be kicked out from every place you seat, besides restaurant.I was hoping my European train travel would be a smooth ride. Instead of it. I’m standing in the car by the toilet typing this review.But don’t worry all those things are “expected” in you grew up here. If you’re a tourist have a great trip ☹️. Thank you Deutschebahn 🙏🏻. “Real treat” And to non Germans, avoid it at all costs.

Good with some delay

Very happy with the application's scheduling and ticket storage. But there is a delay of updates on train delays which can and have left me hanging with difficulties to reach my destination. For example, an additional delay of 15 minutes (on top of another 10 minute delay) made me miss a bus service that could have been planned for if the application updated the train's arrival sooner. While the information, i found out later is viewed on train station screen can take some 5-10 minutes before appearing on the application.
