this app has not identified one single rock correctly not even close not sure if the app is colorblind but i’ll take a picture of a red rock and get results for every other color . unfortunately because i wasn’t using it i forgot to cancel free trial and got stung for ONE YEAR SUBSCRIPTION to an app that doesn’t do what it claims , if i was buying beautiful stones i would know what they are from the seller i’m a rock hound i dig my own and want to know what they are this app is ZERO % helpful all it did was dig a F@&$ING HOLE IN MY BANK ACCOUNT, needless to say IM NOT HAPPY OR SATISFIED WITH THIS APP .

Not That Accurate

Was super excited about this app but unfortunately it was really not able to identify any of my crystals :/ Even the super simple ones like rose quartz or amethyst. Either the wrong stone popped up or wasn’t identifiable at all. The app has a preset collection of stones to read about, some common, some not. I do like how it tells you the origin of stones but it would be super cool if it told you what u could use it for or what it brings to ur life! Definitely needs some work, however I wouldn’t trust it.

Trash

I tried this out with some super common stones like, apatite and sardonyx. The application said my apatite was labradorite, which look nothing alike honestly. It also said the onyx was some super rare mineral that was the same color, but yet again, looks nothing alike otherwise. I do not recommend because it’s extremely wrong in about 90% of times I’ve used it. Total trash of an app.

Doesn’t discover the crystals

I’ve tried the scanning multiple times and comes back with several options but not close to what the photo or crystal is. The identification or scanning isn’t of value but more color and pulls up anything in that description. Disappointed for I paid in hopes could help but a crystal book is far better.

HOW AN-NOYING!!!

I can’t even BEGIN to give this app a chance because not only are they just like EVERY. SINGLE. OTHER. APP. forcing us into yet Another Subscription!!!! Knowledge/info/education shouldn’t require another subscription in life but ANYWAY… after trying several of the other apps and quickly deleting them for different reasons - even one surprising reoccurring one: ACCURACY. … Now… this app actually went so far in an either , 1- desperate or 2- straight ignorant attempt to get subscriptions by evaluating my stone (which I chose to evaluate as an accuracy test) and then stating that there HAD MY RESULTS and I could receive the results only AFTER I subscribe and THEN to add INSULT to INJURY ; they offered me 1/3 of the original subscription cost when I said no which means that if I had been a DUMMY and actually paid the almost $30 subscription then I would have been a straight CLOWN. In conclusion ; It’s not WHAT you do but just HOW you decide to go about it and in this case, I just don’t appreciate your entire approach to me as a customer. That is just the business standards that I require- as I’m sure I am not the only one. I’ll check back and see if you might be worth another try if you can get your approach together.

Difficult to see this app as anything more than a scam

I tried to use this app to identify a few stones which I knew the identity of, but of course it forces you to subscribe before it will offer up an identity. As it was offering a 7 day free trial first, I figured I could always cancel before the charge if it wasn’t any good. It was unable to correctly identify ANY of the crystals I put to it, so I very quickly decided to cancel the trial (within about 10 minutes or so), to discover I’d already been charged $29 for a years subscription (even though it said 7 trial in the title of the subscription). I have subsequently reported the app to Apple as fraudulent and requested a refund. Regardless of the error with the charge, this app is useless. Every stone with remote refraction will show up as sapphire. Or ruby.

Not up to par.

This poor app struggles so much. I have a large crystal collection. I put several very common and well known stones in front of this thing. Clear pictures of classic stones. These stones were unmistakable. I’m talking rose quartz, amethyst, smokey quartz, red jasper, howlite, turquoise, prehnite, larimar. Out of the first 16 stones I tried, it could identify 3 correctly. THREE. Sometimes it suggested things that were so off base. It thought Smokey quartz was either garnet or jade. REALLY??? Other times it couldn’t come up with anything. It had no idea what Larimar was. Not good enough for me to recommend. Pathetic, actually.

Trash app. I was so hopeful i bought the full version up front.

So i was so Excited for this that i decided to get the full version. I do get the initial week free but i was in full belief this would work. I was dead wrong. I scanned 6 of my crystals. SIX OF THEM. Rubellite, golden healer, ocean jasper, tourmaline in quartz, pyrite, and septarian. You know to get an idea of what it would read and what it wouldn’t. All six of them didn’t even get close. I made sure to take the pictures with the crystal by itself, on a white surface and i tried it with and without the flash. It didn’t get a single one right. Waste of time. Just stick to researching your crystals online. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Like so many others…

I was also bamboozled with the idea that I could possibly use an app for what it’s advertised without having to pay a subscription fee. I had one stone I needed to identify bc it came in a box as a gift, ONE STONE, and I couldn’t even do that because I would have had to pay the ridiculous $27 fee first. Appalling. And the graphics make it look like a silly game. So I guess there’s that? I deleted it almost immediately.

This app can’t identify ish

I don’t know jack about most crystals, rocks, or minerals but I can definitely tell the difference between a rock found in my driveway and a diamond. This app cannot. No amount of angle or lighting change changes the apps answer either. Most things it just says it can’t identify. Your better off just taking good videos of them and sending off to a professional
