Fav game

Every so often I come across a game that i can completely lose myself in and this is one of them. I don't even mind paying for the extra goodies because I play it so much. I recently had issues with apple and they were so helpful and made sure I was able to continue playing without issues. This is definitely one of those games that i will likely ALWAYS play. I honestly don’t hv any issues with the game and hv been playing for probably a year or so.

What you expected

The game is like a worse cooking fever, of course it has microtransactions and all that. But what makes this game such a pain is the combo system, you can earn gems by getting 2 or more stars per level but it’s almost impossible to do cause the customers don’t come often enough to earn the combos. It makes 0 sense, so in theory you get no gems so it’s just pointless to even try. Even at level 1 your lucky if you get 2 stars which only gives you 1 gem. Same with the tickets to renovate the yacht, if you don’t get 2 stars then you can’t move on. I don’t recommend this game at all unless you are willing to pay money.

Great game...work in progress

This game isn’t rigged and totally possible to pass with patience. I’ve never had to purchase boosts to pass a level. If you don’t succeed, try try and try again. Yes it gets a little frustrating with only 5 lives but you wait for more if you don’t want to spend money and get better to pass the levels. That makes it challenging imo. For those that throw out how they’re first line workers...great, we appreciate that but please let’s not make it a guilt trip to make the game easier for you.To prove it’s possible, just take a look at the #1 person in the tournament right now at level 300+. Face it, the rest of us are far behind and I accept that means we’re just not as good. I’m now playing in the tournament and the only problem is there’s a bug with the London tea setting. The tea can’t be served no matter now much you press on it. Need to fix this.

Love it, but...!

I have played every cooking game ever made for the App Store, and this one is really good, however you will have to purchase lots of tools to get through the Venice levels toward the end. The difficulty is ridiculous and unlike what the developers say, you will need power ups to get you through the last levels. I’m an essential worker during this COVID crisis, and like many others in the medical profession, I want to be able to relax a little and not become stressed out over a game. I was going to give this 5 stars, but I’m scaling back down to 1 star until they improve the odds. And by the way, all other cooking games have levels that you can replay after so you can gain more coins. Not this game. And all other cooking games give you a little more to entice you to purchase things with real money. Not this game. You decide, but I’m about to delete this and move on to games with fairer gameplay.I would like to add that the fact that you are responding to reviews and not with blanket statements, but actually taking the time to read and reply to them speaks volumes. I will be checking back for those updates, your game is well designed and the graphics are amazing. I am going to give 4 stars for now and will give 5 later if the levels are more fair in Venice. And for the record, I don’t mind spending money on games I love and I have spent money here a couple of times before I arrived in Venice and became frustrated. Thank you so much!!!

Fun but rigged

This game could be great if the game didn’t stack the odds against you. Currently in the seafood restaurant and even with the full upgrades, the time to actually cook the food is still slow and I’ll have 4 or 5 customers asking for fish yet only 3 plates. Plus 3 more asking for lobster. Another case has 2 or 3 customers asking for 3 ice creams and the next customers asking for 2 more ice creams except I only have 3 cups to fill and again, the time to make the ice cream, even fully upgraded is still slow. You’re made to lose this game and have to pay to win. If you can at least speed up the cooking time, it would be a little easier.

Don’t bother...

Might as well just give up once you get to the Venice levels. The other levels were doable but you literally have to purchase gems to prolong the level or get extra customers with almost each level. The money you make prior to going to a new place doesn’t transfer so you start with whatever they decide to give you for that location which is usually nothing or not enough to purchase the upgrades you need to win a level. Also, once I got to the pizza restaurant in Venice on the first level I wasn’t able to pass. I would have to upgrade something to win on THE FIRST LEVEL which is something that has not happened before in this game or in most games like this. I understand these developers have to make money but at least try and make it subtle. When it’s obvious you’re just trying to get people’s money it’s annoying and causes people to uninstall and go elsewhere which is what I’m doing.

Love this game

I absolutely love this game and have become obsessed with it since quarantine started! It is so entertaining that I play it nearly every day! I am sad however that I got to level 90 in Paris and it just says coming soon to the next restaurant. I am curious how long it will take before the next level is added. I'm also finished with the first level of the yacht and it has stopped letting me do tasks and also says coming soon. Can't wait for more levels just wish I knew when they would be coming!

update bug

edit: The daily task ‘complete combo 3x 2 times’ doesn’t work. I completed a level with 2 combo 3x (stopped combo after 3x) and a different level with 2 full 8x combo; neither finished the daily task.. It’s 2 days in a row I got this task and I’d really like it if it’s fixed. It’s not fun to miss out on full daily completion on a bug since it’s already rare to finish all tasks normally.I enjoy this game, the 8 combo gameplay grows on you overtime, art style is nice on both customers and food. After reaching hong kong its clear this game is becoming a new quick fav with its customer roster. The daily quest full completion isn’t only way to get boosts, I had no idea the gold pouches on mini map had a chance to give a boost. It’s great to earn boosts through completed restaurants and exchanging old city coins for boosts when unlocking a new city, it feels rewarding to progress. And the city details/landmark are v nice.4/5 now for bugs. Bugs like daily quest, visual bug in hong kong first restaurant the fish ball topping visual doesn’t change when upgrading. And combo bug, I don’t know if it’s intensional but I notice the combo timer resets awkwardly fast when pausing the game mid combo, I notice this a lot due to accidental pausing since iphone has tab bar on bottom on screen near food. Otherwise it’s a great game so far, I’m excited to see the future cities. Also could we get a way to invite/unlock old city customers to visit during gameplay?

I love this game, it’s challenging and fun; however, I just reached the third Restaurant “super burger”. And I had over 30,000 coins to upgrade my kitchen wear. I thought this would give me a little edge when playing, but no. The I’ve played 4 levels so far and they don’t give you enough costumers to actually reach your goal no matter how fast you work. It seems like they just want you to buy more customers which is 40 gems (those are difficult to get and you can use real money to buy them) but I’m not spending money to play a game I should play for free. It’s frustrating to me. I recommend playing the game but I do hope they fix this

Please Read!

I really love this game and I have spent my own money on it. It has been very nice to have during quarantine BUT I do wish coins travelled with you between worlds. Also, I finished through Hong Kong and nothing happened even though the map key shows two more “worlds”. Perhaps the content hasn’t been created? Two other small things that could be fixed... 1. The pause menu will show up when you tap close to the bottom which is where a lot of the food items are located and 2. Sometimes when you get going fast using the automatic pan where items are ready immediately and you tap for multiple of one item like a drink, it reads it as wanting to throw something away which can cost you on levels where you aren’t supposed to discard items. Other than these little things, I love this game!
