Love it

I love this game! However, my major issue is there's no option to make a small one time purchase for an AD free version. Im constantly going in and out of the app and it's super obnoxious to have an AD play EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. My other issue is that there's not a single Hanukkah or non-christmas holiday photo. There's an album labeled "Christmas" plenty of Christmas and winter photos. There's an album labeled "Holidays" which is almost all Christmas, Easter, Halloween and there's even a picture for "United Nations Day" but there's not a single Hanukkah or Kwanzaa photo. Might want to think about that next time and be more inclusive.

Mixed Feelings

There are good things about this app. I’ve completed four pictures, and they are very pretty. I like the luminous, sparkling appearance of most of them. Also, when I am able to actually use a “swiping“ motion, I really like it. That’s relaxing.Unfortunately, several of the pictures were broken up into tiny pieces, and swiping didn’t work. I had to tap every piece, sometimes repeatedly, and that was annoying, not relaxing.The thing I liked the least was the way you interrupt halfway through a picture to announce, “Halfway there! Take a break!”I can decide for myself when I need a break, and I don’t need you to do that for me. Of course, you are not really interested in my need for a break. It’s an ad, right in the middle of the picture. Bad move.

Bad execution of a great idea.

I love the swiping to color instead of tapping. I like the fact that all pictures are available to color. Some apps save the best pictures for expensive subscriptions. This app would have rated a 5 except for 2 very annoying flaws. I don’t mind stopping in the middle of a picture to watch an ad. After all, the developer needs to make money. However, my iPad freezes on the third picture at the ad every time. I have to exit the app and return later to finish. The second flaw is that a lot of times when swiping, the picture moves with the swipe. I am dragging the picture around instead of coloring. Fix these 2 things, and you will have a 5 star app.

Good and Not Good

I’ve tried a lot of coloring apps and this is one of my favorites. It will automatically switch to the next color when a number is finished, and it also has the press and hold feature to change colors. I can choose to watch ads to get hints, or fast forward ads to keep playing. The selection of pictures is okay and seems to be getting better, with more being added. That said, there is an annoying color burst when a color/number is completed that also causes a slight pause before allowing the coloring to continue. It’s very slight, but noticeable enough to be bothersome. There is a magnifying glass symbol at the bottom of the screen to click on for hints, yet there is also a VERY IRRITATING second magnifying glass that will pop up if the program thinks you need help, when all you want is a little time to look at the picture. Sometimes this second magnifying glass even gets in the way of the coloring. Who needs that? Maybe it will be fixed, and I will give a higher rating. Thank you for reading this.

Good app, a little frustrating.

Original Review: I like Colorswipes a lot. It’s very relaxing and an easy way to pass the time. However, when I go to color an area, it only lets me freely color about 50% of it before it snaps to the area being fully colored. I understand that this is to prevent people having to swipe over literally every tiny part of the screen, and to prevent having tiny areas left uncolored that you can’t find. But could it wait until I’ve freely colored like 90-95% of it before it does that? I feel like it kind of ruins the unique aspect of this app (the being able to color freely). There are lots of other coloring apps out there that you just tap to color a whole area, which is nice, but I liked that this app was different. Therefore the snapping so soon really does ruin it a little. Hope this review was helpful :)Edit: It seems like this problem has actually for the most part been fixed! Maybe it was something I did on my end, but it’s much better now. I did have another comment that I thought of recently though. Is there a way to turn off the “halfway through, watch an add to claim your prize!” thing? It really interrupts my flow and makes it a lot less relaxing! Especially on simpler coloring pages where you get halfway through much faster. Other than that, I stand by what I said earlier! I like Colorswipes a lot, and it’s a great and mostly relaxing way to pass the time. Thanks for reading my edited comment!

HORRIBLE

Zero stars. The free version is one of those that makes you watch ads for everything, including when you finish-seriously why does an ad pop up when you’re done? There’s no point! And you’d better always finish a picture in one sitting because you have to watch an ad to finish an in progress picture even though you’ve already watched one to start in the first place. I feel like you should get to color it at your leisure after one ad, it’s not relaxing to constantly watch ads. Some apps only require ads for premium content which is much more reasonable, especially since you often only have to do it once. Oh, the “prizes” are absurd because you have to watch an ad to get them, so it’s not much of a prize. Or an accomplishment. It’s an inconvenience. These expensive yearly subscriptions are absurdly expensive, so it would be nice if you had tiers of different options. You have to REALLY love an app to pay $70 a year. I just can’t enjoy it with all the ads so I’m not going to see if I can get used to the coloring effects. Also you could do with an explanation on the various options like color combo and one handed version

Great game, but needs upgrades.

This game is great! It’s relaxing and doesn't have that many ads. I love this game and i think you should get this game if you like coloring peacfully. Although i want it to be upgraded, it gets boring just coloring the same thing, please update the game and add more unique pictures. There is also this lag where after you finish a painting it just gets stuck. Not that i mind it, but i know some people will, please fix this lag. So overall the game isn’t bad, its a great game and I fully recommend it to many people out there. My sister tried it and she said she enjoyed it, not everyone gives a review like that. Her review started with, “i love this app”. The ads in this game aren’t that long or annoying, most of them are intractable. If you dont mind a few intractable ads, then this game is the game for you.

Awesome

I love this app it’s awesome, however; couple upgrades would be great. 1. Feedback option should have comment box for us. 2. Having brush sizes would be great for those including me who like to actually take their time painting. 3. It’ll be great if the home page with all those new photos would be categorized. I personally love only oil painting and wallpapers because of their magical coloring, it doesn’t give me a 5 yea old coloring . Also I wish we could hide our completed works so we didn’t have millions of photos to go through. 4. I wish it was possible based on our likes or completed works we’d get more personalized photo. So my 70 dollar subscription wouldn’t go only to ad free, unlimited hints matters. Thank you

New Colorswipes update and ads

I love this app so much, but first of all I have a few things to say about it.. First, there's too many ads, everytime you would choose a picture to color, an ad pops up. Or when your finished coloring the pic there's an ad!! Calm down with the advertisements! Second of all, what's the point of the stories to help these homeless people??! Like example, there was a little girl that steped on a spring and her foot was really bleeding. And then a car comes and the little girl's mother comes to save her daughter. But instead the car runs over the mother and kills her! And then there's a funeral for her. Really Colorswipes? You would put something like that on your game??! I'm sorry I don't like the new update of yours, please get rid of the sad homeless people stories... Would you mind?!? Geez. I was very confused why your app icon haves to have a little girl crying! Change it back to the flowers how you always had it. Also don't have so many ads just put a very little on there. I'm not happy about this. And you guys copied the game Gardenscapes advertisements.

Was better

When I first downloaded the game it was so fun. And after I updated this game I got so disappointed. The ads are way to much .every time you want to start to color there is an ad at the beginning the end then again when you start another picture. So annoying. Then when your midway of coloring your picture it stops so you can either watch a video to get more clues or continue plus the annoying clues magnet always pops up. It’s seems like they want you to pay for it and if you don’t they will bombard you with ads. Very unhappy with it. But since this is the only color Swipes game on my I Pad I can find I guess I will have to deal with.
