I love this app but I have an issue

I really am enjoying the beautiful and many pictures to paint and I use it daily but I have an issue. I like to look at a photo first, to see the color palette first helps me decide if I want to choose that picture at the time but the only 2 options are to either continue or quit. There is no option to tab backward to see the library again to choose another picture so then there is an ad again because you need to start the whole app all over again. Thats a bit ridiculous to not be able to at least peruse the pictures a bit -i.e. opening one to look at it a little closer. etc. This is why I am giving it 4 stars for a rating. Other than that I can deal with all the other ads because I think this is one of the very best coloring book apps due to its detailed photos and the easier not so detailed photos and the huge amount of colors available. Could you please include more pictures of the seashore and also more of children? thank you.Thank you for the opportunity to write this review.

The ads are not as bad as others make them out to be

I absolutely LOVE this app. The pictures are so pretty and I never knew there were so many shades of one color until I started playing this. Which is fine by me because they make to pictures beautiful. The colors are very soft just like an oil painting and the pictures are gentle looking, not loud and obnoxious with a bunch of bright colors that don’t mesh well together. If that’s your thing then that’s okay. But I prefer the calm soft palette and pictures of this app.As for the ads, it is true that ads pop up at the start of the picture and at the end, but after about 3-5 seconds you have the potion to skip it. It’s also true that another ad pops up if you exit the game for any amount of time, but it gives you the option to choose not to watch the ad. If you watch the ads then you earn 3 hints. A tiny stopwatch thing will pop up off and on giving you the choice to watch an ad for 3 extra hints. If you tap in by accident, you can close the ad you just won’t get the hints. You can pay the $9.99 to get the ads to stop completely but you don’t have to. Really, with the option to close the ad after a few seconds it is not that bad. All in all this is the BEST free app I have ever played. You get so many pictures to choose from for free and each picture you complete earns you coins that you can “cash in” for special pictures. I absolutely love this app and the developers have done a fantastic job.

App issue

Below is what I sent on Friday. I saw your response but I am not using 2 devices. It is on an Ipad 3. The colors fill in slowly. I followed your advice before and migrated the data to the cloud, deleted the app, reinstalled the App and downloaded the data successfully. However, he colors are still filling in very slowly. Too aggravating to use.I have paid to not have the ads so I am very disappointed that I cannot get this to work. The last time this happened, doing these steps fixed the problem. Any ideas? Thank you. DC I have this app installed on an iPad with the latest software version. For the last few days it has been filling in the colors very very slowly. I have shut down and restarted my iPad several times but it does not resolve the problem. I have migrated the data to the cloud and removed the app and reloaded it several times and uploaded my data. I always completely shut down my iPad between steps. But it is still moving in slow motion. This has happened before and doing this worked before. Any help would be appreciated. DC

Good, But Not Quite Perfect

This is definitely my favorite coloring book app. Unfortunately, there are a few things that keep this from being perfect… The pop-up to watch an ad gets right in the upper left field of play and unless you move the picture while coloring, you’re going to get caught watching an ad. However, the biggest issue I have is also with the best feature. Let’s face it, the ability to import your own photos is the biggest allure here. Unfortunately, you need to earn 10 coins per picture to paint them. This doesn’t completely bother me in and of itself, but it would be nice if the photos in the library told you how many coins they are worth before spending a bunch of time to only earn 1 coin (2 if you watch an ad). Also, I feel like if I’m going to spend money, I should get unlimited personal photo painting and not just 10 coins per day. Finally, when importing a photo, you can’t shrink larger ones into the preset size. You can make them larger, but you can’t fit it within the box if it’s too big.

Unbelievable response

I gave this tame a 1 star review once before. I was forced to purchase the game to avoid the numerous ads, but then I had to change devices and now suddenly they want me to pay again. My purchase will not restore. I put this out there and got a response and I’m absolutely appalled by it. “We’ll take your concern into consideration and we may address it in the future”! Consideration??? MAY address it in the future??? I looked at your terms & conditions and you’ve strategically left out what you’ll do if someone needs to restore their purchases. You people are nothing more than greedy and it’s just plain wrong what you’re doing! Again, it’s WRONG, UNETHICAL, and YOU’RE STEALING! Outside of the fact that so many people have complained about the amount of ads that stop the game during a 5 minute period, making it the #1 complaint, this is a very close 2nd for amount of complaints. I won’t even open the game any longer. When I do, it’s only to see if you actually took into consideration and allowed me to restore the purchase I clearly already paid for. Just another stupid Chinese app developed by people who will never care about anyone but themselves. I’m deleting the app... it’s not worth it.

I love this app and was happy with the many realistic looking paintings. I was addicted and would paint nearly every day two to four times a day. Some people have already complained about the adds, so I don’t need to add to that except it is the necessity of using the app for free. So why did I not give the app five stars? Suddenly, a couple of weeks ago, my app went blank! When I tried to open my app now, all I get is a blank white page! I suppose I could delete the app and try downloading it again, but then I assume I would completely loose the many pictures I had already colored!I don’t know if you fixed my app or if it fixed itself, but it is working again! I love coloring, but I live to choose my own colors. It would be great if you could occasionally throw in a picture with a color palette where we could choose what color we wish to use instead if having to go by the exact colors. I don’t know if that would be possible, but it would be so satisfying.

About the new update…

This game is great ive had it for many years with little to no issues when playing, however that changed with the new update im hoping that by writing this review u guys fix it. So with the new update u have a gift at the top of the screen that when the bar fills up u get a popup that says watch this add and get three hints. Why just why we already have this with the hints option that pops up. Whats worse is u cant really refuse so ur forced to watch the add. This in itself wouldnt be bad only the adds themselves have been broken since ur update and freeze. So not only was i forced to do something i didnt want to do in the first place but i cant even get the hints cause of the bug. This has been going on about five days now. The hints option is now also bugged as the adds on there freeze as well. This is frustrating. I think a better option for the gift thing besides just simply removing it all together is to actually have it be a gift u fill the bar u get like ten free hints or something but make it like a once a day thing if u do that many. That way its separate from the hints system u already have in place. Thanks i hope this feedback helps. Please fix this asap i miss my fav game.

way too many ads

I love this app for the pictures. They’re beautiful and they look better than any of the color by number apps out there once done. The biggest problem is all the ads. Granted you can pay a one time payment of $9.99 and do away with all of them, but my problem is the frequency. It’s more than any other free app I’ve ever seen. I’m addition to the “watch an ad for hints” (which is actually nice because it gives you 5 hints instead of 1-2), you also have to watch an app when you start a picture, another app when you’re finished, and you better hope you don’t have to check the time, or that someone sends you a text message, or calls you, or your phone warns you that your battery is getting low, or even accidentally tap your phone in any way that you don’t even realize that takes you off the app even for a split second. If you do, you’re going to be stuck watching yet another ad. Oh and let’s not forget the ad under the color pallet to top it all off. It’s seriously worse than any other app whether coloring or otherwise. I’m not paying for ad free on principle because they’re basically trying to annoy the living heck out of you just to get you to fork over the $9.99. Seriously, considering it’s all stock pictures, there’s no reason for that many ads!

Love : Hate relationship

LOVE: the oil painting aesthetic. .... nailed that! LOVE: the artwork. Fabulous. Mature ahd sophisticated. Well done I’d have given 5 stars if it weren’t for the “hate- aspects.” HATE: the color palate.... SO DARK & DREARY! While that worked great for the Halloween art, “Happy Thanksgiving Day” should have read “Dreary & stormy thanksgiving night” Its such a depressing color palate. I was really looking toward to all of my favorite fall colors for the thanksgiving themed piece I just colored. What a missed opportunity due to the limited scope and narrow aesthetic of the color-artist. Enough black grey and dark browns!!! Really? There’s a world of color out there. I feel so void ...HATE: the same color palate in every piece. Boring. No diversity. Depressing. Dreary. If you want to be pushed into somber melancholy... color here. I’ve begun starting w only the minimal selection of non- black and greys or dark browns that actually loose detail in the fabulous artwork & dejecting carefully which of the greys I’ll add in to keep it on the lighter side. YES.... I’m using the light grey original background vs coloring it to enhance my finished product & lighten it up! ! So I’ll never be able to share a video of it being colored because no piece is completed. What a let down.

No complaints. Top notch!

I read a couple reviews. One positive one negative. But the rating was good, and the ads show lots of Thomas Kinkade which is an artist I really like so I thought I’d give it a try. For reference I play it on my iPad. I don’t think I’d recommend for a phone. I have done two paintings and I really enjoyed doing them. Here are some bullet points -- it won’t let you make a mistake. Which is really nice because sometimes moving around you have to touch a lot of spaces. - the moving around is super easy. You don’t need to use two fingers. The game recognizes a moving motion from a tapping to color motion. - when you finish a color it disappears from the line up and moves to the end with a check mark over it.- you can zoom way in and way out with the simple pinch and spread motion like most of us are use to. - when you finish, it shows you a sped up version of the order you colored it. Kinda fun. - there are so many subjects and paintings I think it’ll keep me busy a very long time. You can even upload your own photos I think. I haven’t got that far yet.—-Someone said something about too many ads.. I think I saw one after each and/or before each painting. But at least I was not interrupted in the middle. This is by far the nicest and well developed painting game. The small details of the pictures make it fun to color. Highly recommend!
