Legit my #1 app on my phone & iPad

First off, REPRESENTATION MATTERS! I am so in love with the designs, the people, the patterns and the inclusivity Color Noir offers.It is so refreshing to tell therapy clients about this app and to be able to create pieces dripping in melanin & with so many shades to choose from, there truly is something for everyone here!I personally downloaded Color Noir for myself and for Art Therapy usage. When the developers say “all ages” they mean it. I really enjoy the complexities of some of the pieces but also love that there are less challenging ones for my 9 year old to create as well. This is also my favorite “Miss, do you have games on your phone?” App to pass around to my nieces and nephews. It has been a life saver at several BBQ’s this summer and the parents (myself included) didn’t feel like we were handing off our child a device for a parenting break, resting assure that this is one of the “Good Apps”. I strongly encourage you to download this app for yourself or the young people in your life, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Representation Matters!

Omg I LOVE a this app! I normally use actual coloring books, but my friend from college created some pages on this app so I decided to check it out & oh my, it’s soo relaxing & fun! I recently deleted social media & this app has taken over when I’m bored or just need something to help calm/center me. I love that fact that it has people that look like MY family! My daughter enjoys coloring people that look like her & her friends. The creators did an amazing job with this one. I’m so proud that there is a space for me now, my daughter that gives various skin tones, & hair types! I can go on for days but I’ll stop here. Thank you for this one ❤️

i’m crying in the club rn

when i tell y’all i am SO excited to use this app! for years i always liked to do color/paint by number during my free time, and i always noticed that the coloring apps would either barely or never have black people or our culture featured in any section. that always sat in the back of my mind and kinda made me upset. i’m sure the app developers know that people all races use their apps, so why not represent all races within that app? why not support those who support you, you feel me? out of all of the coloring apps i would play, i never saw a single picture with my people or my color in there. it made me feel left out, and like i was being used. that is until i came across THIS coloring app, and this sudden wave of warmth and excitement just washed over me. finally, the representation we deserve and need! 🙌🏾 i just wanna thank the app developers for making this, you made my whole week! i’ll be playing this for the rest of my life!

It’s nice

I can say I love this app because representation is important. However, I do have another coloring app (which I am tired of and looking to switch over) they have little representation of black people in general but, they have more tools to use for coloring also different options like removing the lines or changing the color of the lines, they also have the option to change opacity when using a color so you can shade as you please (it’s the same price). They also have a community in the app to view other people work and follow them. Maybe adding more options for users would be great. I will definitely support, but please consider adding more for users.

Thank you for this brilliant app!!! I’m always using my iPad to draw/color digital art on different coloring apps but could never find anything that represents us. So, I would usually color the digital art and make the characters black even though their features were not. I got tired of the lack of representation and decided to search for black owned coloring books to download for iPad. That’s when your article popped up and I got too excited. I never knew something like this existed before and I wished I would have found this app sooner instead of wasting my time and money on those other apps.

LOVE IT!!!

I’ve always liked coloring books and as an adult, its considered pretty childish to color a real coloring book. So i’ve definitely fallen in love with mobil app coloring books. This one is BY FAR my favorite because all of the characters look like me or someone in my family. There isn't much black representation in standard books so this was a phenomenal idea and i hope they keep expanding!The only reason i gave them 4 stars is because the pages are grey, not white, so coloring in white is impossible and when you use light colors they look kinda weird/dirty. Other than that this is definitely worth the time. Such a good book!💙💙💙💙💙

PERFECT REPRESENTATION!!!

I am so excited and relieved to use this app!!! I will admit that I was a little skeptical about downloading this app at first but I am really glad that I went ahead and did. In my spare time or when I just need me time for myself I tend to color. I’ve always seen these other apps advertise on Facebook like they had these types of pictures but when I go download it they didn’t have the kind of pictures that they were advertising , but this app is the TRUTH!!! It’s like a dream come true to finally get to color a picture that represent people like me and my kinds of hairstyles especially during the times that we are in now. If there were to actually come out in with actual coloring books I would most definitely go buy every single one that comes out( I’ve already downloaded and printed out the free version that they have)!!!!!!!!!

Amazing

I love this app. I love the pictures. However, not all of the pictures are set up correctly. If I go to color the face on some, it colors one of the eye lashes or if I color the hair it colors part of the background. I see some pictures that were able to separate the colors, I can’t. Maybe it’s only on iPhone? Also the shades of the pictures make some colors look different. But, it’s only like that on some pictures… I’ve been finding tons of pictures that doesn’t have problem. I wish none of them did, because I enjoy this app so much.

This is beautiful

This is the best game ever especially with the old lack of representation I’ve had in the old games of coloring. Back when I’d play Color by Number, there would be people you could color that would look black and your brain 🧠 would be like this: 🧠: oh, a black person :D let’s try to color them. And once you’d try to color them and get ready for their beautiful golden skin, they’d show white skin and you’d be like: 💭: wdym this is supposed to be a black person. Not a uh, ghetto white girl… especially when Yk white people are going to try and be black w/ you when you know they be discriminating us and hating on us. The lack of representation I had just gave me stress. And I am very happy I’ve found this game. I should’ve found it 3 years or more-so ago. But I’m glad I have found it now atleast because I’ve wasted a lot of time and money playing those fake games not even to matter of this. Like I’ve read the other reviews from 3 or morso years ago, it said that $20million were wasted. On that game. And the music is annoying. Now I really need a stylist for this coloring game it is very beautiful and there are less ads there. ✨💛😘😳🥰💅🏾👌🏾🤘🏾✌🏾🤞🏾✌🏾🤞🏾Thankful for this and hope you give me an instant Developer Reply or whatever it is I forgot. Oh yea a Developer Response but yeah. (Sorry for sending a big big big long paragraph I don’t really have time to indent it rn)

Therapy at my fingertips

I turned to this app as I was in the middle of a crying episode. It was easy to use and very soothing. I loved the color and template choices. I mostly enjoyed the freedom to create whatever I wanted. And I loved that I saw myself in the designs. I was doodling like “yeah I would rock this. She looks like me!” I’m so happy I found this app. I was crying because I was thinking of my mom who made her heavenly transition. And I couldn’t help but think how much she would have loved this app because she loved creating. I feel a connection with her when using this app. Thank you.
