I hoped.....

...that this Gin Rummy would be better than this....I’m so disappointed. My first full 500 point game, I critiqued by photo, but there is no photos here. This was my second 500 regular Gin Rummy game. ***It holds the cards I need, then when I discard a card because I didn’t’t think I would get it , it tosses out the exact card I needed to meld...maybe it needs another STAR for teasing players....I did discover that to goOut at the first chance I got (10) because It somehow fools the AI.***I appreciate the owners moving the winning score to 500 points...makes for a better game, but...*** did you know It allows me to knock at 14?.?.?....new rules? I like the game...I think it has a good AI, but....not quite honest…***SUPPORT ACTUALLY ANSWERS...YA get another STAR for that...just don’t fail me, Kevin!!🎁🎄🎄🎄🎁🧑🏻‍🎄

Gin Rummy

This is a great addictive game I play it on a few different apps. The downfall of this particular app is that when you open it many times it will not load. Very frustrating. I have to leave the app and go back later. Sometimes I can’t use it for hours. Also, this app doesn’t offer different card backs or different backgrounds. That isn’t important but just a comment. For these reasons I couldn’t give this app a 5 star rating

Good gin game

The graphics aren’t flashy, but there are not any annoying ads that disrupt the flow of play (just a running banner at the bottom of the screen). The game is challenging without being impossible to win. I was playing on easy mode until I realized I was winning every game. Switched to the medium level and now I am winning some and losing some, which is how actual real life gin rummy goes!

Favorite Gin game with major reservations

The hands are NOT random. If you set to Hard, the hand you play against is ridiculously advantaged, one or two cards drawn and it knocks with 3 points. It’s just way too unbalanced and unreal. I haven’t set it back to Easy because I fear that will be unbalanced in opposite direction.All play aspects are excellent and by far the best gun game in App Store, but author should implement an authentic random deal so that play properly mimics an actual well-shuffled deal from a deck. Now it’s just silly with the competing hand getting impossibly good cards routinely in the Hard setting.

Super Fun!

I’ve tried several rummy games and this one is the best by far. You can set your skill level, play rate, background, and cards in this game. The AI doesn’t win automatically like in other games. It wins sometimes and loses sometimes, just like if you were playing a live person. You can pay a nominal fee to remove ads, but the ads aren’t overwhelming and annoying at all. This game is fun and addicting.

AI might not cheat but the jury is still out after 30 games

The interface is clunky, the scoring overly complex. I seem to get very little help from the pile, lots of ten counts. If we don’t even out long term it is rigged. I am a good player and AI does play a smart and aggressive game though. Day 2 - App bombs out repeatedly. Was doing better by not picking up from the pile unless the card was very valuable. The randomness of the AI takes away the tendencies that humans get stuck in.Final update- Still fun but I win 2 of 3. Get down then let it knock. I’ve undercut it about half the time and often it only gets a few points.

Fun but has some bugs

I think that there should be an intermediate level and the current ‘easy’ game should be set to intermediate and the easy level should be easier. Also, there is a bug every time the king of spades shows up, you have to exit and reopen the game because it freezes. I don’t know programming but something about the order or for loop or something is off for that one card. Some pluses are that the game is clean looking and doesn’t have all the extra bells and whistles that are annoying and there are no ads which is the best part!

Enjoyable

It took a few games to understand the format. But I find it relaxing and enjoyable. It would be nice to have the option to rearrange the cards in my hand and choose between a run and a group. I only have one gin game that gives me that option. The computer gives me the perfect hand, but sometimes I like to play a long shot. They don’t always pay off, but what fun when they do... otherwise,nice game!

Game freezes frequently

Game freezes between hands & at times when trying to move a card or even if the computer tries to rearrange. Have had to turn I pad off & restart three times within last o hrs to restart game & sometimes completely start a new game . Very frustrating since IPhone doesn’t do this to me & seems to happen just as building good hand.OFrequently computer will lay down all cards after one of us has only picked one card! Seems as if game is seriously flawed & rigged against player!!

Needs tuning

I have played a few dozen games and this is my observations. A very competitive AI. Can’t access alternative play. 100 points with line bonus means 5 or fewer hands per game. One bad hand decides the game. On one occasion the boxes for seen or pass and knock disappeared and had to reboot my 11. Update no option for games to 250 in settings. Banner ad at the bottom is gone and the buttons are back. The hard setting is in fact hard.Update When you have the ad at the bottom of portrait view the buttons still disappear and now the background flutters rendering the game unplayable. Still can’t find the 250 option
