Love this game!

I’ve been playing this game since December 2017. Every day I log in and play a few levels. The new animation is cute and I am enjoying replaying the Worlds. I used to be a big fan of Two Dots but I found the levels are too frustrating without freemiums so I stopped. What’s the fun in needing a crutch for every level? This game is challenging but a good way to relax.Update May 2020:Dear Marketing, consider getting rid of ads for Empire and Puzzles. If I watch the ad, the game freezes. If I catch it and shut the ad down quickly, then it produces this shimmer or stroboscopic effect that is painful. This ad is causing me not to play your game.

Was having fun...

I’ve been playing Christmas Sweeper for years and this is the first time I feel compelled to write a bad review. I’m on level 1231 of Christmas Sweeper 3 and I’m so irritated that I just had to get this out. When I need a few minutes to myself I like to play this game to help relax me. I’ll play a level for days until I finally level up. But I’ve noticed a trend lately that I hadn’t noticed before. I don’t know if it wasn’t there or if I just missed it but it’s happened now on the last 20 or so levels that I know of. It’s when I’m playing and I’m just about to win, a critical block will refuse to break. I can set a bomb off ON the block and it will not break! Or you suddenly just aren’t allowed to use a certain block. I don’t mind you making it hard to win a level but to me that’s cheating. I know it’s a computer run game but that was built into the game and again that’s cheating. When I clearly am about to win a level but you have the game suddenly crate a block to keep me from winning, that’s cheating. I can’t believe that you have to cheat to make any money on this game. Oh wait, you don’t. You are just greedy.

Don’t like the change....

The last time I played this game was during the winter of last year/beginning of this year. I recently downloaded the game again, as it is getting close to winter and i enjoyed this game a lot the last time I played it. But, when I came back and played a level, I noticed that the music is different. This really upsets me because I loved the old music, it’s what made the game so fun. Now it’s just 3 songs on loop and they don’t even go all the way through. I dislike this new music and I prefer the old music. I don’t know if there can be anything done about this, maybe an option where you can choose which songs you can listen to, that play all the way through instead of cutting off half way, because I really enjoyed the old songs but now it’s just cut off early and I don’t get the full feel of the song. Besides this one flaw, it’s a pretty great game. But, I think something should be done about the music, just my opinion, but the old music sounded better.Edit: Let me rephrase what I said. I like the music, it just sounds 100x better listening to the full songs. If there could be a change made that lets you listen to the full songs, I’d appreciate it.

Fun & challenging game, but it has a quirk

I’ve been playing for about 10 months, and it’s my go-to game. I’m now at level 402 and as some have mentioned, I’ve noticed that the levels can be extremely difficult to complete. However, with persistence you can eventually move on... even without the aid of boosters or gems. The one quirk is with the award wheel. I get my awards daily, and I would say 98% of the time I will get either gems or candies. Occasionally I will get a ticket for a secondary spin, but that usually results in gems or candies. On rare occasion I get a bomb or mitten but NEVER the other two (the ones that sort of look like a rainbow-colored star and a snowflake). Considering there’s three spins per day, I would think that I would get one of those at least every once in a while. Although that has me a little perplexed, it hasn’t stopped me from enjoying the game.

Fun Game but Has Changed recently

I’m about to delete this game at level 551!!! So not fair the way they have changed it. I’ve played this game for a few years. It’s a good break for a quick distraction for sure. I like the new features with gathering a certain amount of certain pieces. Lately I’ve noticed a trend that makes me think the developers have really changed things up. I’ll play a level several times and EVERY time I only have 1 more of 1 color to get to win and NO pieces come up that are that color. If you need 25 yellow bells the entire game you may see 15. So it’s impossible to win. Just like the flaky claw games kids play- you win but you don’t win. If it keeps going this way I’ll delete it. Especially when you about to win the prize or unlock the treasure chest- I won’t win until the game expires.

I no longer love your sweeper games. I haven’t played this particular one in quite some time so I thought I would try it again. Eek. My ADHD just about went crazy. Trying to collect way too many objects in a limited amount of moves with way too things moving around. Perhaps some people find the new graphics attractive, which I guess they are, but there are way too many of them. This is no longer a game for me. Sorry, people. Thanks for a few good years with it. Love your Christmas Sweeper games. They filled many a stagnant moment during the holidays. I finally did get tired of the ads, and as a result, I buckled and paid the $1.99 for ads-free playing. When I opened the game on a different iPad and started to play, the ads were there. I had logged into Facebook on both devices, and like many other apps, I reloaded and clicked on the get rid of apps banner. It asked me for my ID and I was expecting to get a message such as "You've already purchased this. Would you like to download it again for free?" There was no message, but I clicked purchase again and was quite disappointed that on my receipt, I had indeed paid for the same thing twice. If I could attach a photo of the receipt, I would. Very unhappy about that. I am advising against the purchases.

I’m at level 1660 and I am about done with this game. Too many times ther is only one possible move that brings no benefit and is a waste. That’s the least problem. Commercials I under stand the need but to now play them when pressing restart is bad but to interrupt in the middle of the game is really annoying. The peak of frustration with these mid-game commercials is when the X appears and tapping it does nothing but freeze the screen for a period then goes to a blank screen that remains, and won’t close no matter what you do, causing the app to close. I lose the game in the middle and have to start the app all over with all of the opening screens and commercials before I get back to the game l was playing and this is absolutely infuriating. This is NOT FUN OR ENJOYABLE in any way, shape or form. Please fix these glitches and respond.Very-Very Disappointed

Decent game.

My original rating for this game was higher. I made it well over level 700 so I felt like I got my two dollars worth which I paid mainly to get rid of the annoying ads. I appreciate that there is no life limit. However the higher you go the more you are reminded that even when you’re playing the normal level this is a greed driven game. Some levels I played 20 to 30 times and then miraculously I complete the level with moves left over. You can be gifted diamonds to get boosts but the most you can get in a day is six and that’s if you touch the right box. There is no reward for completing levels other than you get to move onto the next level. However this game just got to be way too frustrating so it got deleted. If you like extremely challenging games this will work for you. However I do not like an extreme challenge,I like a game to be slightly challenging but still fun. Even in the much higher levels some are still easier so it gets three stars as it has lasted way longer than most match three games.

Fun but could be better

I get it…. It’s about the developers making money. Really I do…. But firstly, it’s supposed to be fun! And it is….. but then there are levels that are impossible without bombs. And there are just too many of these levels that aren’t fun (out of stubbornness, I spent more than three hours total on one level because I wanted to do it without bombs and finally gave up. It’s supposed to be fun, not frustrating!). You’ll get a few freebies… but it’s a fine line. Make me WANT to make a purchase because I’m addicted to playing, not because I can’t get past this dang level if I don’t use three or more bombs! That said, some of the contests and the event that gives you bonus bombs at the beginning are a lot of fun and having more of that type of thing absolutely would lure me into possibly making a purchase! It really does make the levels a lot more fun. I think a few levels could be tweaked very easily by just allowing a few more turns. I agree with another poster that the power ups (other than the +2) at the beginning are rather useless since their placements are random (let me pick where to put it!). It would also be nice if the reward were just a little more substantive (such a three diamonds or three mittens, etc). That said, it is fun and it can be brain stimulating to actually strategize the best way to complete a level!
