I’m slowly learning how to play the guitar.

I love this app I’m slowly learning how to play the guitar, problem is with me I’m left handed playing an right handed guitar it’s hard to get my fingers in the right place , I wish they’re was easier way to know where my fingers go so I don’t make an mistake like learning the G Chord that’s probably the hardest chord to learn I’ve tried many times trying to figure out how to play it without making an progress I don’t have the money to pay for full version of the app so it’s kinda of hard for me to learn .

Great but could be better.

My ISSUES with this app are how fixatedand locked in the fretboard it looks on smaller screens like old iPhones and even X size ones. You should have the ability to see all the note son the fretboard and move them freely all the time. Pressing again and again can be annoying. There should be a selecting feature for this or free scrolling 2. The explorer feature is great but it wont let you add the chord to your saved directly making it a hassle!!!!3. Overall, this app is great. You can find the chords you didn’t know you needed or existed. I hope these two little things get fixed. They are my main issues other than that no crashes or anything much.

Would be great if not a subscription

This looks like it could be a very valuable tool with the premium features, but there’s absolutely no reason for it to be a subscription instead of a single payment, except it makes devs more money. I would be willing to pay a good amount of money as a one-time purchase, but subscriptions are made to exploit people who forget to cancel them, and I don’t want to fall into that trap or support it. Additionally, the onboarding is very clunky and annoying. There are three times a “get started” button appears, only the last of which actually allows you to start. Make the welcome walkthrough fully shippable for people who want to start immediately and look up a manual only as needed.

Great App and Customer Service

I’ve own several apps for guitar and music theory, and this is definitely one of my favorites. It’s pretty much a one stop shop for chords and scales. It’s a very powerful tool to add to your guitar arsenal. The workflow is also intuitive and user friendly. I want to specifically give a shout out to the developer for exceptional customer service. Super friendly and very responsive. Highly recommend this app to anyone who wants a powerful tool in their guitar arsenal!

Best ten dollars I've ever spent

This is probably now one of my favorite apps of all time. It's extremely easy to use and very helpful in finding new chords for beginners. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn the guitar because you will be able to teach yourself a LOT. If you've felt like you've hit a wall with your abilities you'll be able to blast through it and learn so many new things. There is still room for improvement. I would love to see a more intuitive version of the simple chord progression recording ability. I have high hopes for all future updates and this app is seemingly only going to get better.

Great App … but

This app I great especially for beginner and intermediate guitarists. The chord library is extensive and covers the entire fretboard. I haven’t used the scales or other features as yet. My only concern is cost. If there were a one time cost that’s reasonable I would pay it. I won’t pay for a subscription because there’s so much I wouldn’t use. I might use the scales, but I don’t need to pay for backing tracks, games, lessons and reverse chord finder. Chords and maybe scales for a reasonable one time fee and I’d buy it, but a subscription for $5/ month or even $40 yearly is too much for what I’d use. Kind of sad because it’s a beautiful app. Maybe the developer will reconsider and offer two different options. I hope so.

Love This App!

I absolutely love this app. I love using the genius part when I’m writing songs because it gives me ideas of what chords I could use when I cannot think. I would love for the app to have the ability to tell you what chord you are creating. For example: you click the notes on the fret board on the app and then it tells you what chord that could be. When I make up chords I have a hard time not knowing what to call them. That would be incredible! Love this app though!

10/10 guitar app, replaced several books.

ChordBank is the best guitar chord app on the App Store. It has everything, dude. It has like 16 scales, it has chords in every position key and flavor, it has a chord analyzer thingy for looking up what chord a certain fingering is, it’s got a tuner, metronome, backing tracks, and you can strum chords/pluck notes. This app is a one stop shop for any guitar player, new or experienced. Imagine having access to any chord at the tips of your fingers, then buy this app and make your dreams come true. It is worth the fifteen bucks.

Great Learning Tool

I had this app in my iPhone and really enjoyed it. In order to get more use out of it I downloaded it for my iPad. The bigger screen of the iPad allows me to see the whole fretboard of notes for each of the scales. There are enough scales offered to help a beginner to learn to play with some good soloing skills or to help an advanced player increase their skill set. An advanced player will probably find the backing tracks only to be OK. However for a novice player he/she will find them quite useful. The chord directory and metronome is quite useful as is the tuner. A players skill level will determine the usefulness of these straight forward lessons.

Great app, but could fit the screen better for portrait

iPad 9.7. This app has tons of uses and is well worth the price for the full version. My only pet peeve is the way scales don’t display properly and some of the notes are cut off until you scroll down in portrait. This may be because the same amount of notes display on the landscape mode. Take some hints from how the interface from rock smith works for scale patterns, display it so I can zoom in and out on different sections of the pattern, or view the entire fretboard. The reverse chord finder and genius are helpful for writing. I also like being able to hear every chord and note if I want. Anyways great app and hopefully they can fix the notes disappearing thing.
