User Reviews for Calorie Mama AI: Diet Counter

Love it! But one thing...

Love it! Particularly, the picture function. But one thing...when you search for food items it often comes up “no results found” which is very frustrating since other apps have great and easy to use nutrition and calorie catalogs. I always then have to resort to finding a barcode to get accurate calorie data or guessing the calorie count if there’s no barcode or matching dish in the catalog.

FYI

To delete a food item added that you didn't eat, slide it to the left, and it says delete, click it.A lot of reviews suggest you add this feature but it's already on it or atleast since the last 40 days that's how long I've used it.I love this app, so far it is the best counter ever!Improvements1- if we could pre prep future meals- next day, next week , month etcI stay up to midnight sometimes to plan my daily meals( that's I know you can delete as I swipe depending on the macro intake versus calories2- Also if you would include the macro calorie breakdown of the extra calories from working out example; if you eat your dci of 1250 but still have 250 calories from burned exercise, it just says over your daily limit in the protein fat carb gram page instead of increasing in each area( if you chose to eat those burned calories this would be helpful)3- after a month if it made suggestions on what foods or p, c, fat to decrease to increase weight lose based on how much you've lost or haven't lost from the previous month.I love this app it's very good!

Why did you delete the Mediterranean diet???

I’ve been doing the Mediterranean diet on this app for a couple of months now. I absolutely love it and have had great reports from my doctor on my lab work. Now it’s just GONE! Please add it back! My entire kitchen is full of groceries for a diet you just deleted. My best friend literally just went out and bought all the groceries to start it and now she has no meal plan. Before this I would have given 5 stars even with the annoying “use the camera” (that never works) notification that I have to clear EVERY SINGLE TIME I open the app. The rest of it is just that good! Or it was.

Just started.....

Hello I just started using this and I am in love. It’s made for real people who need real help😜. I have been on a weight loss journey this past year... and get put on my phone and then shortly deleted. This one is so simple. Just snap and go... with a few adjustments at times. My heart goes out to the developers. You are going to bless meany people with this ap. Thank youOh and one more thing😬 maybe you can somehow incorporate water intake into this awesome app too🤗 so it keeps track for me 😜. Right know I number my water bottles. Lol 📸 and go baby... Snap and go. Luv it😘

Love this app!

Great app! It is very user friendly and helps with eating healthy and exercising. I just have a few suggestions for the developers:1) when first starting the app, I do not like being automatically taken to the camera. I kjow that's the biggest feature for this app, but I honestly don't think people use the app to take a pictures of their food more than they do all the other features 2) when you buy the subscription and are able to get a custom meal plan made for you, I think you should let the user know what is considered a serving. I am looking at a meal right now that requires 6 pieces of bread but says the meal is 160 calories. Now I'm don't work for the FDA, but something is off about that lol. 3) can you please add a section where we can put our cardio work outs in manually? I do Daily Burn which is a home exercise program and I know exactly how many calories I burned but don't know where to put it. Should I put it under jump rope? Idk lol 4) also can you please add snack suggestions. Right now I'm looking at meal plan where breakfast, lunch, and dinner are only 800 calories to total but my total budget 1400, so now what do I eat? Lol

Wish I could delete foods from list

This is a great app and I lost 40 pounds using it. Sometimes the actual food does not come up with the picture, esp if it is a casserole or soup, so I have to add all the ingredients as a recipe which works well. One thing I wish I was able to do is delete foods from the main list that I only ate once and will never eat again so I don’t have to scroll through so much to find what I’m looking for.

GAME CHANGER!!!

Azumio seems to really have this stuff down, I love all of their apps to be honest. I prefer them over their competitors and have been recommending them like crazy to people! The ability to take a picture of your food, and artificial intelligence to identify what it is, is absolutely astounding.I have tried to stump the AI multiples times but can’t seem to do it.There is an Italian Christmas cake called Pannetone, and I took a picture of something as obscure as that, and it KNEW that it was pannetone. Even like stuffed peppers it knows. Download all of their apps and start using them consistently and you won’t regret it.I would love to talk with the development team or execs to brainstorm what can be improved. But this is a great project and I’m sure it’ll only get better with time! All the best!

Great calorie and main supplement tracker

If you just get this for free, it keeps track of your main supplements- fat, carbs, and protein. It does a maintenance level of calories for you and it is easy once you start figuring it out. You just have to watch what you eat and make sure you get the right amount of supplements and calories per day. This is an overall, great tool to help you track what you eat and get to your fitness goals.

Just Concerned

I know every single company that has many reviews will have some negative. I’m concerned about upgrading based on this developer’s reviews. I wonder if they still have ads if paying premium. If they are then I would not personally pay for subscription. Others will buy I’m sure but that’s a big risk. I hate ads with passion. Which is why I typically buy premium. I’m planning to research more before committing and to try out the camera feature which sounds pretty cool if it works! I’ll post new review if things go well.

Awkward and difficult to use.

I’ve been using the premium version of this app for a little less than a month and I have to say I hate it. Entering in my daily meals is cumbersome and the database itself is often inaccurate. The camera feature (which is one of the main reasons I chose this app) rarely works and is worthless. For instance, when I took a picture of mashed potatoes the app suggested they were a plate of cauliflower. Arugula salad was green beans. Whole meal pictures are worse. There are also things that are irritating with the app. Like constantly seeing an ad for Argus’ scale even though I have a premium account. The camera screen blocking out the menu buttons when first starting the app, and even the included recipes are junk. Lastly, be very careful when purchasing a subscription with this company. I chose the 1 year subscription and immediately hated the app. Apple would not refund my money even though Argus’ terms state I had 14 days to change my mind. Once you subscribe you’re stuck. There are much better apps with more accurate and user friendly databases. I suggest you avoid Argus with a ten foot pole.
