My favorite calendar app

I tried several calendar apps over the years. The issue always seemed to be that it was tough to see everything once the calendar got filled up. This one solves it for me. I have my phone in dark mode and utilize the different colors for different entries (personal, work, family etc.) The colors jump off the screen!!For anyone that likes having a calendar that shows everything in a clean, concise way, this is the one for you.

This calendar is fast 📅

This is a really refreshing and cool take on calendar apps. The design & interactions are efficient. It’s a really strong start but I just hope for a more complete ecosystem (that I really depend on with calendar apps) with an Apple Watch and macOS app! If these come out I don’t see myself going back to any other third-party calendars

Reminds me of NinType. Could save time, but could be too hard to learn

This could be extremely fast if you learn it. They are definitely solving a problem I have experienced. It’s too hard to create events on most apps. Too much tapping and fussing.I wish you could tap the AM/PM buttons without having to type a colon and a minute time first. As in I wish I could just type 5 and hit the PM button. And why is the “:” so far? The left side of the screen is hard to reach. Also, there should be an option for text wrapping. I want one event per line, so I can quickly gauge how many events are on one day

The Mona Lisa of Calendars.

It’s a great app very easy to use once you get the hands on experience. I love the black and white minimal textile it’s easy on the eyes and feels great. Moving around the app is as simple as a physical one. I’ve gone through my fair share of calendar apps especially as an engineering student and moving around internships, things can get a bit out of hand without a good to do list and this app has it. It’s great and I wouldn’t change anythingEven the most quintessential master pieces have faults and It’s quite sad that there is a major fault in this app and it’s that the calendar view glitches.. always.. and especially when trying to add a list of reminders and checklists. The calendar itself goes blank with no feedback and you’re left to force restart the app. It gets frustrating after a couple times but I’m sure the developers are on the clock trying to fix the issue itself.

Work Shift

Thank you so much for making this app it’s beautiful. If you can implement work shifts into this that would be amazing. I work all three shifts and OT. I can either come early or stay later for any amount of time. Also can you implement a solid color box around the input words. For example if I work mornings I can input Morning and the color box would be yellow. Afternoon could be Orange and Night could be Blue. So they look good side by side throughout the week. On my day off it can be OFF in green box. Something like that.On OT it can do the same for example Morning 6AM-2PM yellow box and below it OT 2PM-6PM red for OT in a color box so if I do the OT everyday then it will look even at that time throughout the week on the app.

Enjoyable Usable -Now my daily calendar.

Certainly effective , fast and todos alongside events is great with a pleasing display. For me the month calendar font size a bit small but the days agenda font is perfect. Takes a little practice but that is expected. Price is very reasonable. Like it a lot, certainly worth 5 stars.

Cool but has a bug

The calendar is great and I enjoy trying it out but the app has a glaring bug that causes all your events to disappear from the display. You have to force quit the app to get them to reappear. You don’t lose the events, they just aren’t visible until you force a restart. I emailed the developers and they are aware of the issue and say a fix is coming. Something to think about if you try the app and have the same issue I did.

Excellent Calendar

I have this thing about calendars, I really enjoy having one that is easy to use and has numerous options for each entry. I especially like the way I can use colors to make an entry stand out. The one thing I miss with this app is the lack of a calendar view with just dates. I often need to count weeks and for that I have to switch to a different calendar app. But overall worth the cost for full access to all the features. A better user guide would be very helpful.

Nice calendar / to-do app

44 has done a nice job with this app as it had with Vantage; however, neither support or display travel time as entered through Apple’s delivered calendar is shown on either 44 or vantage. I still see this as a big disadvantage since travel time is a big factor when events and meetings are at different locations.23 Feb 2020The developer at 44 contacted me and stated that travel time will be added on a future update. This will be a great addition to complete the total functionality of Calendar by 44. When that occurs, I will buy the app. Thanks to the 44 Developers!

Nice and clean

Nice and clean. The Monthly interface is clean, easy to read - but lacks the ability to change the row depth. For instance if I have 5 or 6 events on a single day, I'll see 3 or 4 events and then a notation below that says +2. I would like the ability to auto expand the row depth to show X amount of events. Everyone else is hooked on the concept that the whole month must be viewed as a whole without scrolling - not me - those other apps look extremely scrunched on the month view. I would rather see my monthly events line by line and this app does just that. Love that. Just need a bit more flexibility.

Description

Calendar by 44 is all about two things; speed and clarity. To clearly see what your schedule looks like, and to quickly add events to it. It's based on a seamlessly scrolling collection of months, tightly integrated with a daily list and a new kind of intuitive flow for creating events.

It’s small, there are no view switchers and is operated completely from the lower part of the screen. Read on to learn more or download for free to try it before you buy it. SUPER QUICK INPUT. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Tap or grab the plus button and drop it on any date to start creating an item. As you begin to type, a preview schedule is shown for the current date. That way you can see what time works best, even while creating. Scroll the preview to set start time. Drag it to set duration. No need to pick through menus or manually type out the time, though that’s supported too. Shortcuts lets you select a calendar, a color tag, location and enter notes by typing hotkeys. For example “/” + [notes] or “#” + [color]. This is the fastest and smoothest calendar creation flow we have seen. MONTHLY DISPLAY. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: The design is based on a seamless, infinitely scrolling monthly view that highlights multiple-day events, includes to-dos, fades out past events, supports highlight by color tag and presents your events in up to three lines to avoid clipping. Tap any date to open a daily list. DAILY LIST. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: The daily list shows calendar events right along side scheduled to-dos. It supports quick swipe-actions that let you delete, copy, set color tags and complete to-dos. TO-DOS. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Any good calendar should let you organize through simple lists and to-do items. Calendar by 44 does this in style. Other than that we support most of what you would expect, create, edit and delete calendars, create advanced repeat rules, any number of custom alerts, convert events in to to-dos, invite people…the list goes on.
