Cake, the best browser out there

Cake has honestly gotta be one of the best browsers out there for mobile, way better than safari is. It amazes me all of the simple things you can do that’s just a huge time saver. For example, wanna do something shopping wise? After typing in your search click the shop button and you’ll instantly be searching in the shop section for the certain thing you typed in, this also goes for news, videos, images, etc. You’re also able to customize your home screen with a variety of different images, all of which are amazing. Also it has a feature named quick jump (which is optional) where whenever you type something in it automatically takes you to the first result. It also lets you change the app icon and the search engine (which you can do on any browser but it’s still a cool browser) and the private browser is genius, if you turn this on it automatically deletes stuff after 3 minutes of inactivity. Which is well good for certain situations (y’all know what I’m talking about). The app honestly just feels faster than any other browser and it also has flash support so you can easily play things like Tetris just in your browser and it’s amazing. TL:DR: great browser with many good features, 9.5/10

Might not seem like it, but GREAT

When I first saw an ad for this app I ignored it thinking it was probably another one of those rip off search engines that don’t even compare to google (My search engine at the time). A few months later, a new ad popped up and I was pretty bored so I clicked on it. I looked at the very positive reviews and decided to give it a try. I’ve been using it for the past 2 days and it’s AMAZING. Let me tell you, it’s so innovative and awesome for your phone. You can choose whichever search engine you want (Ranging from Google to DuckDuckGo) and can even subscribe to different news media for free. They will pop up on your feed and you can clim on it any time! The web surfing part of the app is very intuitive and might I say fun. It incorporates elements that social media has like swiping to see the next page. It runs very smoothly and it’s just a great app overall. ( I have not encountered any bugs yet and will update if I do) I totally recommend this app, even though it might seem a little bit weird at first, just try it; You never know until you try!

It’s The Best, But...

... it’s missing a few organizational features for long term usage, like bookmarks and favorites. That said, this app does exactly what it is supposed to do, that being browse to find specific or relevant information, images, and videos. It’s much faster and more intuitive for mobile devices than any other browser App, and I would love to see it grow to rival other browsers in its own niche. That said, I think people like me probably won’t be putting it on our home docks until it’s updated to save links without me having to open up the notepad app (or some other browser). My other complaint is that searching by image is not well supported in this browser. Tapping and holding on an image had ought to make an image search an option, or at least open the image in another tab. As it stands, the app is beautifully well suited to news, porn, and meme searches, but when it comes to saving and organizing what you find, the app is currently sadly lacking. So close to perfect!

Great App! Just needs more features.

I’ve been using this mobile browser for a short time now and I really enjoy using it. There are a few features that I think could make it much better! 1. The white does get a tad boring and plain. Some effort could be added to bring a Dark theme or customizable colors to the app to make it suit the user better. I love how you can change the App Icon and the Banner though!! 2. I also often find myself asking Google some very simple questions that are often answered by a short paragraph before all of the links are presented. I also check game scores very often. An awesome way the app could be improved is finding a way to make the first page that pops up, a summary of whatever you’re researching or looking up online! (unless the user types in an actual link) These are just some things I think could relate help the app become an amazing mobile browser worth five stars! I’m sure some of this is already in the making, but great app overall in its early stages!

Great to offer a VPN service but it doesn’t seem to do what it says??

Cake is a very unique and innovative browser for any iPhone user. It has a very clean interface that could easily be utilized by any level user, from total beginner to advanced, with tools and features that would keep both groups satisfied. My only issue is that they offer a device-wide VPN feature that I thought was supposed to stay active as long as I told it to. But ilthat doesn’t seem to be the case. This is really disappointing because I order to access and use the “Premium-fast” VPN connections I opted to purchase a subscription to the app. Albeit bit very expensive, I would like to get the product I was led to believe I was buying. An “always connected, device-wide VPN for added security when browsing the web and using my internet connected device.” Anytime I check, the VPN is disconnected or is the free version. Why is this the case? No matter what the consolation, it is really unfortunate. Maybe if this is addressed and fixed, I’ll be able to reconsider the two star rating that I’ve had to give this really cool browser app.

OH👏MY👏GOD👏I👏LOVE👏THIS👏APP👏

I had seen an ad for this before, and was a little intrigued. I never actually got it, but one day... I clicked in a link after I searched something up. Suddenly, I got a pop-up saying “You are the 5 billionth search!” It said that I had to choose a gift and see what I got. Keep in mind I was literally lying in my bed with my phone at 11:30 p.m. I just laughed it off and chose one. I clicked the next buttons to “get my prize” and then... something showed up that read... “You may have been hacked” I had one minute to fix this, and I panicked and closed the tab. I was shaking, wondering what I had just done to my security. I am still mad at Safari for not being more protective. I suddenly remembered about that one ad I saw about Cake. I went and downloaded the app, and lemme tell ya. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! It actually protects your data, unlike OTHER sites, and I feel secure, not to mention it is SO much easier to use! I would totally recommend this to anyone!

I really enjoy the user interface. It is my favorite browser for my iPhone. I just was wondering if there will be updates to this app? I would like to be able to make folders and name them. That way I can manage my bookmarks easier. I would just like a little more content, that the other web browsers have. Any tease or anything you can spoil. That you plan on adding in a update? Maybe themes would be cool to. I await to see more features. Thank you for your time. I also thank you in advance. If you can reply, and maybe address/ spoil. What may come in updates.Edit: Also would like to be able to open things up in new tab/window. I know I can open up a new page, if I click on the button in the corner. I just like to sometimes open things in new tabs then check all the things I’m interested in. Thank you again, I’m confident that you will address these things I mentioned. I would like to make this my default browser.

Refreshing Intuitive Browser with Some Gripes

I’ve been using the Cake browser for a few months now and I have to say, it’s an absolute joy to use when it works the way it was intended and that happens a good majority of the time. This core concept of swiping between search results and dedicated search buttons for types of searches cut out some annoying steps in the browsing process and feel totally next level. For all the focus on UI efficiency, there remain two major frustrations that still bug me with Cake, when typing a url, it doesn’t autocomplete based on your search history, and there is no pull down to refresh a page and the button is all the way at the top of your screen. These two things are a weirdly big deal to me.I’ve also seen some frustrating behavior where some sites just won’t load properly due to what I can only guess is the ad blocking tech. So I haven’t yet been able to switch completely to Cake, I have to keep a backup browser handy just in case.I find the frustrations and quirks are worth putting up with considering what a refreshing concept it is and I like the idea of a small startup sticking it to the data hungry, big Corp browsers that dominate the scene today. For now, I’m a Cake believer and hope they continue to refine this very novel browsing experience.

New feature request

First off I really love this app I came to trust this app a lot but one thing that worries me is being tracked while I’m using WiFi I red the full description on the app and I didn’t see anything that talked about leaving no trace behind on WiFi I’m always worried using any browser even safari that I will be tracked being on WiFi so I was wondering if at all possible you developers could work on a feature that a customers WiFi provider or account manager of that router won’t be able to even see what you are looking at in private mode it’s something I have been looking all over in some browsers on the App Store but I can’t seem to find that on the App Store if at all possible could you developers possibly take into consideration if you developers could come up with something like that I would be glued to this app for life but I have to admit I do love the lay out of the app it’s the best I have seen so far in any of the Apps I have downloaded that’s why I gave it 5 happy stars

it's really refreshing

cake as a web browser is super efficient at getting you the information you need as fast as possible. for example, in class, we were assigned certain parts of a book to read. as soon as I entered the pdf version of said book, it came exactly onto the screen as needed without having to hassle through various sites like scribd to find an authentic pdf version. I was extremely pleased with the layout and how easy it was to use the app. if you're a little technologically challenged, just go to the settings and it will teach you how to manoeuvre you're way through the app. I thoroughly enjoy this web browser and believe it has a lot of potentials. I haven't come across most issues posted in the reviews so I can't offer much criticism since its such an easy to use browser. aesthetically, its passing. I think the app is organised and well structured to give it a pleasing look. and aside from everything, I am giving a 5-star rating because the developmental team have been so patient with the populace and hard working on furthering the success of their work. good job guys! you're awesome!
