Great, fun app

I downloaded this not really knowing what it was, but once I realized what it was, I loved it. I’ve met so many (nice) people and I’ve had real conversations with them. This isn’t like grindr, just a hook up app (unless you want that, you can get it), and it’s not like bubble, only for a ltr (but you can get that too), I’ve made friends here and it’s amazing. Love it! Definitely worth a download.

This app is ridiculous. One day on the app and I was banned and blocked because someone said I was too generous LOL. It was more like the shirt that I was wearing in my photo the claim to Joe Biden was a lunatic. This app is Wade left democratic take your voice away take everything away from you do it their way or the highway so guess what I deleted this app for good. All they want is your money and took for you to believe in what they believe in and that’s it take your business elsewhere be smart about it don’t let some app tell you how to believe and how to think this app is racist

Not too bad

At first I was a little disappointed as I had the app for 15 hours and my simple face pictures had still not been approved, making it kind of pointless to use the app. I’m giving it 5 stars still because all I had to do was send a quick email through the contact button and it was resolved rather quickly. Since then, the app is working good and I’ve been able to use it perfectly.

Still basically unusable.

I have been complaining for months. 7 out of every 10 profiles I visit have a spinning progress indicator when looking at details. If I get notification of a message, I tap into the message and the whole app is locked. I cannot even use the back button. This has plagued the app.It’s rare when I can use the app without the whole UI to get blocked within a minute or two of normal use. I have no problems with any competitors apps.It’s pretty basic for your developers to fix. Stop blocking the main thread!! Use background queues for long running tasks. Perform asynchronous loading of images. Come on.

Disgusted.

The developers have described this app as having been created for guys who are "sick of the hookup culture" and want to make genuine friendships without having to deal with individuals looking for "hookups". Unfortunately, this well-meaning app has been completely hijacked by individuals ONLY lookimg for "hookups" who either never bothered reading the app description or simply didn't care! I've had the thing installed for a year now and never once discovered anyone on it interested in making friends. Not one. Instead, the only responses I ever received were from guys trying to "hook up". Each and every single one of them. Finally, the other night I ran into a guy who turned out to be nearly pretending to be interested in making friends only to admit that he was trying to trick me into a "hookup". That was the last straw. I'm not coming back to this thing (nor any other app claiming to do the same thing) until this nonsense is somehow addressed!

Not Worth Paying

I like the ideas behind the app for who it is meant to serve but the app itself is really subpar, especially when compared to other apps that use the basic grid format and messaging services. As a paying member I think I need more userbility. Sorting profiles takes you back almost 10 years ago when these sorts of apps first appeared. Option is to either sort by distance or recently online. If you sort by distance you are forced to scroll down multiple times in order to see even one person online. Bro! What’s up with that? It would be less of an issue if more bros were using the app but unfortunately they aren’t. Sorting by Recently Online then could place someone 14 miles away right next to someone 1 mile away. Just for context this weekend is Pride in San Diego thousands and thousands of people are coming to the city to participate and not one bro is less than 4 miles away from the center of Pride, Hillcrest? It’s just not very user friendly and that may be a reason so many profiles are not active. Some like me are bouncing to apps with better functionality. Messaging is also meh. Sending pics can shut the app down or freeze it. I’m also not a fan of using Facebook whatsoever in order to link up my bro account when I first signed on. That might have changed.

Unusable, Constantly Frozen

I actually like this app. Have had excellent conversations and met some good people on here. Plus, I don’t get that empty, awful, cynical feeling that I did from Grindr (deleted that garbage years ago). The issue is that it freezes up constantly and they haven’t done anything to fix it. Some profiles don’t load at all and it constantly freezes and you have to close and start the app over again. I have to do this close to 10-15 times every time I use the app. In recent weeks, the app has become completely unusable.

Bromance it up!!

I was luckily able to use the app when it first launch back in early 2016. It was a good concept, ya know not like other gay apps where people just hookup *side-eye* you see, as someone who's in the military always moving, it was hard to focus in on someone that wanted to do similar things like cabrewing, checking out distilleries, vineyards, hiking and traveling ya kno. So I got this app to try out and well, I definitely met the guy of my dream shortly after. Then to say at least, we started dating after a few dates and that was in March of 2016. Now, well, we are engaged and couldn't be happier. I wish I could give this more stars. Kudos to the concept and I hope more start to use it!

Awesome BRO!

This app has helped me to make new friends that I didn’t even know lived in my area! One of the best features of the app is that it verifies the identity of its users, making it - well - a whole lot less creepy! The increased amount of clear face pictures and the fact that reported abuse is taken seriously makes this app a much more enjoyable experience than some of its competitors. I’m happy to be a part of the BRO Community!

This app is AWESOME! There are many apps like this, but, you won’t be sorry for choosing this one!! I actually have had the pleasure of speaking directly with the developer, and he is one of the most kind people you will probably ever meet! This app is great because it is both location based, but you can also search outside of your current location.. Being from Iowa, there is little to choose from as far as ways to meet people.. especially if you prefer to meet gay people.. We are limited to the bar scene, and that’s about it.. I’m not a big bar goer, and in the winter, there isn’t a lot you can do besides malls, restaurants, and bars here because it’s usually so cold.. Thankfully NOW with the “Bro” app, I can look a little further outside of my Iowa border, and get to know people that are close, but not right here.. I don’t have to be in a bar with people spilling drinks on me and having music so loud I can’t hear or talk.. You never know when something could develop, and I love that now, I have opportunities I wouldn’t otherwise have without this app! It’s truly awesome!! I hope you give it a try, and if you have an issue, I know if you reach out to Scott he will respond, and will do what he can to address/ fix your issue!!
