So many bugs (please read) ⚠️

This game has a great concept but the bugs ruin the whole experience. It’s frustrating when it says “auto save” and when you out and back in to “continue” nothing has saved. This game has a lot of work to do before releasing a movie and it’s very very very frustrating when all of your progress disappears. Also, this game also freezes and won’t let you do anything and all of that progress is gone again. Lastly, there’s glitches where you finish a movie and it does a split screen and I learned a way to fix its very annoying. This game is deeply in need of a revamp or fix every bug because it’s ruining the experience. Other than that, when the glitches don’t happen, it’s really good and accurate, so far I’ve made 10+ movies which was very hard to do. (I have to quick save every little thing I do just in case the game crashes or freezes)Please take this into consideration and I will raise the review to a 5 star because this game does have potential!!Thanks.

Has good pieces, but a miss

I was so happy when I saw the second game! I’m glad it added long term contracts and some other features. But the original is just easier to use, overall is more accessible (why is everyone such low overall) age is easier to find, and app is just easier to navigate. I also miss all the old characters from the first one. I love the idea, but I think updating the 1st Box Office game would have been a better idea.

.

I like the game a lot, but it is very buggy I’ve lost like 30 weeks of progress 5 times before I just gave up on the game. Still giving a 5 star because it’s a awesome game I just hope the bugs get fixed soon so I don’t lose so much progress when the game randomly crashes.

Great game beside the bugs

It’s definitely a fun game but it has a few bugs that start to become irritating as you play you’ll probably get threw 7 to 12 turns before the bugs start to interfere with you’re gameplay but overall I definitely love the game 10/10

Disappointed

For many years now I’ve wanted to play a game that allows me to simulate having my own movie production company so when I found Box Office Sim 1 I loved it so much and spent many hours playing it. Therefore I was really excited when I found out the sequel on the App Store. After many hours playing this one I can totally say this game was a step down from the previous Box Office sim.Even though it could of improved on so many ways it did none. Having written reviews on the movies was the only better thing than the last game. Adding locations, the new marketing strategy and the long contracts negotiation were fun but after a few movies it starts to feel not even important. Idk man I just really liked the first game so I expected so much more from this one. Hopefully the developers add more features since there is so much more they could add. I didn’t even mention wtv the animals as the actors was because that was just unnecessary.

Like the new features but there are many bugs

I can barely get 7 minutes into the game without some bug happening that makes me have to restart because the games saving rarely works. Also because you cannot fire people and there are no auto assigned jobs, I end up putting someone with great acting but bad other stuff as a non actor and I can’t get rid of them.

High potential, rocky launch

I’m a big fan of the first game and was surprised to see the sequel randomly when searching for new sim games. I’m so far pleased and frustrated with the sequel for a multitude of reasons:-The glitches are a big nuisance. Thankfully I’ve learned to save in the middle of doing things so I don’t lose much if there’s a glitch, but it’s upsetting when the first game never had glitches.-A lot of the added features are cool but I’m not getting the benefit/gameplay from them: 1) why do some metrics go to 50 and others 100? 2) written reviews are great, but why can’t I see the reviews for all cast & crew? 3) the studio overview page has great info, but none of it actually shows upI have been playing the game for a little bit now, so I actually really enjoy it and look forward to the developer fixing bugs and truly updating the game. I’d love to spend money on it too to help the developer but I need a game that isn’t glitching and actually giving what it says it will before I invest to add features.

Good game, lots of bugs

Ok so I think it’s an improvement over the original but it has so many bugs, first off the theater distribution thing needs to be fixed, the game won’t let me release movies in limited release and I can’t update the distribution deals, also there is a bug where you click a button then another screen covers half the screen and it’s unplayable, also some updates I’d like to see is like maybe have a like industry projection, predicting how well the competition thinks your movie will do and how well your movie will do in each of the regions, also maybe have like a preticket sales option where you can release movies for pretickets and frontloaded your opening week, also you should have audience reviews like a letter grade like cinemascore, and I also think releasing in a specific theater chain can be a good idea, as well as have like box office news where every week there is a news section of the movies that did well, and maybe do like TV show update or something, but please fix those bugs, thanks in advance.

Great concept, bad execution.

The original version of this game is GREAT no bugs no nothing- while this one is great and fun to play the bugs become annoying. You have to play with auto save on or you could and will lose everything within 10 weeks, some times the interfaces only take up have the screen prohibiting you from being able to exit out of it, and after 3 years I wasn’t able to make any more movies as when ever I created a pitch it just didn’t show up. This game while is fun, becomes infuriating. I’m giving it 5 stars because the developer of the game knows what to do, and I believe they will make this game even better than the original but the bugs are a pain.

It’s pretty good

This game shines as a sequel to a already addicting game. BOS 1 had me hooked for hours and BOS 2 takes what we knew from the first game and added more for the sequel. It’s honestly a true movie making simulator that allows you surprising control. But… there are problems.1. The game is extremely buggy, when I created my first game, I didn’t realize that I had auto save off. So, after I wrote s script, the game bugged and I reset it and all my progress was lost. Frustrating is a understatement because of all the role hiring and name typing I did.2. I honestly don’t find this game very visually appealing. The first game had a nice look to it. The blue background with the movie ticket wall paper floating in the back. It honestly just doesn’t look as good, but I can get passed it.Other than that, not to many complaints, once it gets cleaned up, I’ll definitely put time into the game.
