I use this app for sleep every night

I really like this app, I love all of the different sound options and the ability to layer the sounds to your liking. However, after the latest update, the timer option no longer turns off the sounds automatically after the timer has run up, which is no big deal but should definitely be brought to the creators attention. Otherwise I definitely suggest this app to everyone

It helps me sleep and study

I have this app running all the time. I connected it to my speaker, and it blocks out disruptive sounds so I can sleep and study with less interruptions. I’m a super light sleeper, so this helps a lot. I also love how many different sounds there are and how many ways you can combine them. I like to make different sound scapes and pretend like I’m in different places. You can also get creative and change the volumes of the different sounds so that they sound like they’re either close or far away. Love that feature! Very high quality app and user interface, very reliable, almost no bugs or crashes, and minimal use of advertising that’s not disruptive at all. One of my favorite apps by far, and it’s one of the first things I download whenever I get a new device.

The 12hz Binaural is awesome.

I have had this app on the last few phones and every time it’s the Binaural section I download it for. The 12hz in particular is my favorite. I Bluetooth my phone to a small speaker beside my bed and play the sound really low. Head starts to vibrate, breathing gets easier, body relaxes and mood improves. Can’t explain it but it feels like everything just syncs up. Listening via earphones is cool but over speakers is a whole other experience. Seriously, whoever you are, thank you for putting this app out in the world. It has helped me tremendously!

Fantastic

I’ve been using and loving this app for years now. The wide selection of sounds, tones, and frequencies for the user to pick and choose from makes it perfect for customizing for different uses. I have favorites for studying, writing, meditation, and sleeping. The only improvement I would like to see is a mix volume slider. While users are able to set the volume for the individual sounds, tones, and frequencies inside a mix, there’s no capability to turn the whole thing down in proportion beyond the phone’s main volume control. This usually isn’t a problem, however I often like to turn this app on while listening to a lecture or guided meditation, and it can be difficult to get the volume on this app to not intrude on the volume of another. Other than that one nit-picky thing, this app is one of my favorites.

Good music but very unwieldy

I like the unusual music and sounds but this is really not friendly to use. For some reason the timer is a separate function than the sounds. So you have to pick a sound then go back and set the timer. If you turn the sound of the timer do to use. But why? Also up until today it would play when my phone was locked and even if I was in another app. Now it won’t stay on with the screen locked. Again. Really stupid. This works great to block out a whistle from my Ac but not if I have to keep my phone open and can’t do anything else.

Wish I could give 5 stars

I really love this app and I wish I could give 5 stars, but I can’t. I set this up every night to help me get some sleep. And every night I set the timer for a couple of hours in hopes that it will turn off once I’m asleep. However every morning I wake up and my phone is almost dead because Atmosphere has been playing all night and run my battery down. As soon as I unlock my phone, I can see that the timer has run down to zero but it doesn’t turn off until I unlock my phone. I’m going to keep setting it up at night in hopes that this issue is eventually fixed.

I’m Impressed

I had a white noise machine that broke, so I downloaded this app just ‘in the meantime’ until I replaced the machine. But this is better than the machine, and I no longer plan to replace it. The design, functionality, and thoughtfulness of this product are top notch. Well done! My only complaint is not in the app developers control, I don’t think, but it doesn’t seem to play from an iPhone on to some Bluetooth speakers without a second sound-making app (like iTunes) also playing. I think this is a speaker problem, though....

Timer Doesn't Work

I love this app, I've had it for years. I recently got a new phone and redownloaded the app and created new sounds to listen to. And everything works great except for the timer. I set it every night to turn off after x hours, and it never does. When my alarms go off in the morning, the sounds are still going. And it's caused me to sleep through my alarms in more than one occasion. The two occasions it did work, the sounds stopped so abruptly that it woke me up. A fade feature would be an amazing addition to the app along with an update for the timer function properly. I can't keep missing my alarms...

Best sound machine app ever!

This app is great for sleep, study, and meditation. I don’t use the timer because I like it to stay on the whole night but in the morning, I noticed that it was not on. I look at the app and it says that it is still on but I couldn’t hear it. I tried turning up my volume but it was just how I had left it last night. Then I turned the sounds that I had going off and then turned them back on and they were working fine just as they were when I turned them on last night. Honestly it doesn’t bother me that it eventually turns off in the middle of the night. And other than that it is a great app and its free! I still use it today and it has been working just as well as when I got it.

Used it for years! Love it

This app helps me sleep. After a close relative passed away, I struggled with being alone with my thoughts at night. I’d be overcome with grief every evening. After downloading this app I was able to drowned out my thoughts and sleep peacefully again. I’ve used it for four years straight, every single night. It’s addicting. I love that I can use it no matter where I am. When on vacation, in an unfamiliar environment, I still sleep peacefully because of this app.
