I don't understand the logic in releasing this? It crashed everytime I tried to use it, and not only that, but it crashed after successfully trying to play a song to my airplay speaker, and with no way to stop it. Despite the app being off, the song continues, even if I turn my iphone off. I go back into the app and can sometimes change the song, but it always crashes before I can pause it. Going to the "player control" option does not show the speaker, only the play option and only when I start to play the song, but crashes before I can pause or stop, leaving me literally trying to get the music to stop for the last hour before giving up, turning off the airplay speaker itself (my only speaker) and going to bed. I'm scared I'm gonna turn the speaker on in the morning and it will still be just cycling through every song I have on my external Harddrive. I'm not even sure how this is possible, is this app just a remote for a media player on the router itself? If so, and the remote doesn't work, and there is now way to actually access this hidden media player, how do I get it to stop?
This application works flawlessly, I am so thankful for this app, it makes all of my media content accessible on all of my devices, while having it Very organized in a streamline way! I highly recommend this app if you have a ASUS Router! Thank you to the developers 💚🙂
Just downloaded the new version and it appears to work. Seems as though they have fixed the crash issue. One main problem, they need to let you change the default display options when browsing your library. Genre defaults to artist and that is a useless identifier if you have a lot of classical music.Edit-now it wont display any folders. Awesome
It seems you have to connect to the default network said of asus pr-n53 to setup e music stream. However, the pr-n53 is a network extender. We need to extend the existing network and use different SSID.Very poor designed app.
Please work on this app and invest a bit of Time in it, we need this to access our routers.... Right now, you are just pizzing off ze public, with your ever crashing app. Fix it, and we be happy....
Come on, ASUS - you know this app has not worked for months now. You guys generally have a good reputation for your hardware. How about expediting and getting this thing working? When I click on the repeater icon in the iPad app, the thing just crashes. Also, the app does not size or rotate with the iPad - do you think you might have wanted to add the gyro capabilities to this app when you FIRST created it? What's the matter with you people? It's a repeating train wreck! Fix the goddam thing already.
cant play video from usb
When using on iPhone it works fine but this should cross platform to aicloud nothing you download via aicloud can be played via aiplayer only your original iPhone library aicloud doesn't put downloads too iPhone library so in aiplayer you can't just play what you've downloaded. Definitely needs improvement.
It works alright for listening to listening to or watching various file formats stored on a connected hard drive to your ASUS router, but only a few file formats are supported. The rest offer to "select media player" when tapping it then don't offer any options. Settings has an FAQ for one piece of hardware that doesn't relate to the software and probably not your router. There isn't a way to provide media players to add to the list either. Some movies and some music works, but not all. It should offer to hide unplayable formats.
ASUS AiPlayer is an app that allows you to stream music saved on mobile devices or USB storage paired with ASUS enhanced media routers*, then play it through speakers connected to the RP-N53, RP-N14, RP-AC52, RP-AC56, WMP-N12 or some 3rd party compatible devices. Features: Stream play media contents on your mobile phone or ASUS router USB storage to supported player.
