Channel 5 News a 5 Weather
I have to say I miss Garrett, BUT….. Matt is very excitable and Zac is as well. The morning news is very different, at first it was hilarious and then it became very obnoxious, and now it’s to be a little more tolerable. I miss Tyler and I wish him well. But I believe he had to leave because he couldn’t stand trying to do a serious job as a joke. Best wishes Tyler we understand. The hardest part I believe about the news and weather. Is my husband gets up at 4:15 am to go to work each morning. He works out in the weather for 10 hours a day. He keeps complaining that it would be nice to know the weather he will have to deal with before he leaves in the morning. But I guess that’s okay now cause we just turn to channel 40/29 to see the weather. So sorry Zac, I know you do a great job. I do watch you after my husband gets his weather from them and he leaves for work. Garrett use to do it right, I know you would also Zac, it’s not your fault.
Number 1 news and weather
I’ve been here twenty years now and coming from Southern California this weather was crazy to me and I was a mess and totally stressed out in tornado season but now twenty years later I’ve learned so much about the weather that everyone would call me when tornadoes are in the area to check to see if I thought we were going to be ok, especially when we lose power! I’m not a mess anymore or totally stressed out I’m 5news and weather’s number 1 fan and would watch nothing else when it comes to the news and weather!!! Thank you to everyone at 5news for my storm lessons every night and up to date news you all are awesome !!! I’m still trying to figure out the hail and how to tell when we need to worry about that but will still and always watch 5news and weather 👍🏼the best NEWS AND WEATHER for 5 country and news where you live!!!!!!!
Fake news
Fight the complacency of go along to get along, your parent news organization has already been flagged as a fake news organization the majority of the country try already know it. DON’T just report the news because your parent news organization reported it that way, push back against their fake news or else lose your credibility also, and the trust of the great people of Arkansas. App was good, video ads break the user experience
App is good to provide local news and weather in NW Arkansas. However, the ads are more invasive than ever! Today, an ad for a local cable company keeps popping up the same video every couple of seconds, looping until you close it. This makes the app almost unusable when reading news stories. Sometimes the videos stack on top of each other! Offloading the app today, maybe I’ll check back in a few months. Also wouldn’t hurt to remove some of the data tracking.
Bring back weather app
5 news will always be our favorite go to for local news, but I don’t like the weather app being discontinued! The radar on the new app has plenty of flaws that I won’t list here, it will be extremely frustrating to those who aren’t tech savvy or just want to check the radar. The radar on the weather app was great and very user friendly! I evened used it while my husband was working in the Florida Keys and it was extremely accurate! Please consider bringing it back!!!
Van Buren
Why can’t we get our Local Van Buren news? Someone was either knifed or shot and ran down Woodrow to 21st street. What is going on?? Ederly folks and disabled. Are living in this neighborhood. We have had murders, threat of murder and alot of drugs lately!! It’s disturbing that we DONT KNOW. we’re next to schools. Please start informing us. So much PLAYING AROUND on am news. We don’t watch it. We’ve been watching 40/29 some. More news. But not really local. Please fix this. Thank you.
Weather
Over all the channels that I watch, I find channel 5 news to be the most accurate when it comes to the temperatures, and when storms and other weather, events are happening that’s why I stay with channel 5 news and weather. If we could have just a little bit more info on the river valley versus northwest Arkansas, so they would be equal in amount of time spent would be good.
Thankful in NE Oklahoma
Enjoy news coverage, weather and sports. I live in north Adair county in Oklahoma. Would remind you when doing the weather please step back so we can se the radar in our area. We are locate about 6 miles west of Watts, Oklahoma. We can receive TV stations from NWA and Tulsa. But because of our location in the foothills of the Ozarks often NWA Relates better to our location. Thanks to the News team also I moved to Fayetteville in 1982 and retired from Arkansas National Guard after attending the Arkansas Military Academy and retired from Superior Ind Int’l in Fayetteville. After retirement I had to move to Oklahoma to care for family. But still have friends in Arkansas and serve as commander of the American Legion Siloam Post 29 in Siloam Springs, AR. So I still have an interest in the News in NWA.Thanks!
Bias
Although we watch your news we are not that die hard loyal follower anymore, if we catch your broadcast fine if not that is oK too, you have become far to bias and fall under the fake news category, you are totally against reporting the facts just talking points of left leaning pundits, try getting back to reporting truth
I hate surveys
I hate these things. They ask you to rate these things and then it takes you to this ‘write a review’ page. Well this morning it took a full 2 minutes to load. I would just give them a bad review but I’ve been watching channel 5 since my family first got a TV 60 years ago. I would prefer to watch chan 6 in Tulsa but federal law prevents it.
