The new Cohorts are here — and they count more carefully. Plus custom-property filters across your revenue charts, zero-downtime secret key rotation, and StoreKit purchase testing.
The New Cohorts Are Here
Cohorts got a full rebuild, and it's now the default. More control over how you slice the data, and more honest numbers underneath.
Here's what changed:
- Break cohorts down by week, day, quarter, or year — not just months
- Choose how a cohort is defined — by install, first conversion, or first payment
- Payers and Subscriptions, counted separately — with ARPU and ARPPU, so you can see what each paying customer is really worth
- See further out — renewal cohorts now stretch well past the old 12-period cap, which matters for weekly plans and long-lived subscriptions
The numbers may look a little different from the old Cohorts. That's on purpose — the new engine counts more carefully.
The legacy page is still around for now, but it's retiring soon. Worth making the switch early.
Filter Your Revenue Charts by Custom Properties
Your MRR, ARR, Active Subscriptions, Trials, and New Subscriptions charts now take custom user property filters — and group-by, too. The same properties you already filter events by now work across your subscription and revenue charts.
Want MRR by plan tier, or active subscriptions by acquisition channel? Segment the numbers right where you read them.
Rotate Your Secret Keys, Zero Downtime
Security housekeeping just got easier. There's a new Secret Keys section in your project settings, built for rotating keys without breaking a thing.
- Keep multiple named secret keys per project — up to ten
- Rotate on your schedule — add a new key, move traffic over, retire the old one, no gap in between
- Name and track each key, so you always know what's in use
Rotate after a team change, on a routine, or the moment something feels off. No downtime, no scramble.
Test iOS Purchases with StoreKit
You can now test your iOS purchases with StoreKit, right from your Apple store setup. Upload your StoreKit certificate, and reset a customer's test data whenever you need a clean slate.
Validate your purchase flows without touching a single live transaction.
That's July
