This is a fun app, but for those of us who know very little Yiddish, having an audible pronunciation of the word would make it so much easier to learn.
This app used to display words like a dictionary. There werent alot of them but there were the most popular ones. Now the app is blank when its opened. The search box is still there but no content to search, the other tabs are also there but nothing is displayed. Ios 16 on iphone 14.Fix if you like, but honestly i could care less at this point. Do whatcha like.Oy vey. 😩
Was sooo excited to download. Started quiz, answered question correctly, tried to “tap” to advance to the next word but will not let me. I have to close down app and re-open to get to the next word. When this is fixed, I will definitely give 5 stars. Fun to play with a group.
Nothing shows up in the dictionary
Hey, I really enjoy the app, but do you think you could maybe add in how to pronounce the words, an example of them in use during a sentence, and maybe even add more words? Thanks, once again I love the app!
When you open the app at first it doesn’t say what to do. The dictionary doesn’t have any words. I am very confused
It’s not exactly comprehensive, but not bad for someone who just wants to acquaint themself with Yiddish.
Sure would like to hear how the words sound.Really need more words as well please otherwise I do like the app
There’s no content on either the Dictionary or Quiz tabs. If this requires a download, there should be something to indicate that. If it uses the cloud and can’t connect, it should say something about that. Guess I have to delete the app…
Don’t bother it doesn’t work anymore.
Oy vey, stop your kvetching! You’ve found the Yiddish Slang Dictionary to help you shmooze or kibitz. Be warned though, this app contains some words not fit for your bubbe.
