Rough Edges

XTime has potential but is fraught with trouble. Can’t send message to all. Choice of Recommendations is too specific and many times does not list the service needed. can’t communicate with developers to get things fixed. Costs me money in lost efficiency. It is impersonal with regard to sales. Not conducive to building trust and a relationship with customers. Need to be able to stay log in mobile. Need to be able to change photos attached to recommendations and or add more than one.

Unprofessional app professionals are forced to endure

No spell check or autocorrect? Not even an underline... For a company whom is so focused on improving our business, why not take advantage of the built in autocorrect functions already built into our devices?If this is a consequence of using proper nouns, these words can be added to our devices. Give me an option to turn autocorrect or spell check on/off.Constant connection issues, inability to find customers or past messages, signing in multiple times-a-day. The storage on my phone would be better used for anything else, but my employer expects me to use it.As an advisor, all this app is useful for is messaging and it’s really not useful for that at all.I doubt the people that develop this app test nor use it regularly, because dealerships are paying them and the end-users are essentially irrelevant.Regardless, 2 stars is generous.

Needs filters!

This app shows all of the work that is in my shop and does not allow me to filter out the things that are not pertinent to me. So all the categories are cluttered with things that I am not involved in. Please create filters (like on the website) so that any repair orders not belonging to individual users can be removed and the technician can see what he or she is responsible for only.

Deleting videos and pictures is a pain

The app does not delete videos and pictures when you upload them, it just stays on your phone’s storage slowly bloating the size of this app. There’s no way to delete all videos and pictures as a whole, you have to do them one by one or completely delete the app from your phone and then having to reinstall it and setup your login all over again. Overall we just use this app just for taking photos or videos, it just easier to use the online version on our work computers.

Do better

Constantly signs me out making have to sign in multiple times per day. When uploading videos if you screen goes dark or switch apps it will cancel the upload and fail. Honestly would be better if it could upload in the background and at the very least have a Face ID login ability if it can’t be logged in all day. I’m sure dealerships pay a sizeable amount for this service to the tune of millions for companies with many dealerships to help sales but it needs to be better for the little guys The techs that are forced to make videos.

Huge upgrade

This app lacked severely when first released, however, 2023 has proven that XTime is listening! I can now complete my entire multipoint inspection and communicate with anyone directly through the app. Notifications help save time and the layout update is easy to navigate!

Please

Please bring back the option to pull up ROs in dispatch everything worked fine until this last update. Now I have to go to the computer to accept a RO in dispatch then go back to my phone to do the inspection it’s aggravating when before I never had to touch the computer

You don’t want it.

Writing as a tech. We just got it a week ago and are finding it a huge time waster. It’s just faster to walk an RO around and get approvals the old fashioned way. Also the app stops working and you have to log in again at times. There’s no alert when you get an approval on a job. The phone app takes a bit of getting used to of course. But this system, and I assume similar systems turn you into the writer. Having to add lines yourself and manage the time all without the benefit of course of additional pay. Fun. It probably will become mandatory for all shops to have some form of digital media, but it is definitely not in favor of the techs.

Disappointing

The app is not very useful compared to using a web browser. It kicks you out every 15 minutes and it gets frustrating to say the least. It would be good if you could have all the features you do on a browser, and the camera is option is really bad. Pictures are never focused, takes way too long to upload and trying to click the “x” or other comanda on the corners is close to impossible

Chat Function

The apps chat function is a joke. It never stays connected to “the server”, you have to close the app and reopen for it to connect most times. The keyboard is god awful and is missing punctuation. It also doesn’t have autocorrect of any kind. Why is the space bar so small and off to the left!? I would leave 0 stars but that’s not possible. I have to use this app daily at work for every vehicle I work on. A constant nuisance.

A suite of tools that extend the Xtime platform to your mobile device: • Customer Messaging allows dealership staff to respond quickly, streamlining interactions with customers. • DealerChat expedites work in progress by facilitating communications with internal employees. • Mobile Inspect allows technicians to complete multipoint inspections from anywhere. Users can take photos, videos, and audio clips of inspected vehicles and attach to the recommended services. Vehicle history is available with each and every vehicle inspection. • Users will receive push notifications on their mobile device when Xtime alerts are triggered for events such as new customer messages or new RO assignments.

Xtime Mobile App can be downloaded for free, but does require a monthly subscription and signed license agreement. If you log into the app and do not see any data, please verify with management that you have a license agreement to use the app. If you are an existing Xtime user and would like to utilize this app, please contact your Xtime sales representative.
