This app is unique and useful enough that I would probably have bought it if I was given the option. Unfortunately, the app will force you to sit through a 5 second ad before letting you see EACH result. I know 5 seconds isn’t that long, but it’s a huge pet peeve of mine and it detracts from really wanting to explore my photo albums with this feature. I’ll sit through one or two ads if I have to, but after that, I’m out. Although potentially useful and definitely unique, this app is very simple in regards to its user interface and it requires the user to upload the photo to the web (although a pop-up will assure you the photos and data are not shared and deleted immediately after use. It’s up to the user to trust the process). The feature itself seems to be more or less accurate, but I only tried three photos. Two were accurate as far as I could tell, and one it couldn’t detect a face. The undetected face was front and center, but only half of it could be seen, so I'm not judging too harshly for that. It seems that the facial recognition requires a mostly unobstructed face.TLDR: The ads really detract from the enjoyment aspect and I wish the dev would consider a one or two dollar option to kill the commercials! The potential for this app is impressive if some consistent improvements/upgrades are made and the right consumer base is made aware of its existence.
