Good but some words that shouldn’t be there…

Dear developerThis is a really good game to learn words, but there is some swear words such as “shut up” so I took a star. For kids learning I don’t think that would appropriate to learn those words (shut up) at an early age. Also I am going to add it says 4 up and shut up at that age? Nope I don’t think it was the right path choosing that.

Questions!

The kids love this game! However, we don’t know how to set this up for multiple avatars. My kids do not want to share the same avatar. They would each like their own to keep track of progress. Also, how do I change my email address? I accidentally left out a letter when I typed it in

A Freaking subscription.

Why are you putting a price for child learning. a math game called Prodigy never ever made a subscription (Yes, it did have the subscription from the membership.) At least. Why can't you make this game free and then. Make up membership where it costs money like Prodigy. Until you do that, I'm not Letting my children play this junk!!!

World Tag 🌍

World TagWorld tag is such a great app for learning new words, or vocabulary. There are many adventures to go explore on! Every word I’ve learned is at least a hard word, but they make sure to teach you what the word means very well. There’s many things to do like pick out your vehicles, and eat food. You start off with a lot of money you can customize your own avatar! Girl, or boy it’s very fun, amazing and cool! 🫶🏻 Play now for free! I’m gonna save your life right now! Play this game for free, and it’s for every grade.

Won’t honor free 3 months with purchase of books

Bait and Switch. I have purchased 3 different products that were all supposed to include a free 3 mo subscription to WordTag. I have never received instructions in how to redeem the free months. When I try to subscribe it immediately wants payment (no place to put order number for free months). I have left multiple comments on Facebook and sent emails. Mrs. Wordsmith’s customer service has failed to respond to all attempts at communication. The free version is “okay”. I’d really like to utilize my free months of subscription and see how my child likes the premium version (which I’m willing to pay for if he likes it, but what I don’t like is feeling swindled by Mrs. Wordsmith into making book purchases and not get all the promised services I paid for).

Gaming fun and Learning?! Who knew?

This is a top-notch game that incorporates language learning too. I was impressed with the vocabulary and comprehension (1st grader and 5th grader play). The kids were impressed with the game. Mrs. Wordsmith has great graphics in all their products, making the words pop. This is an excellent addition to our language arts work.

No volume on new app download

I have the latest version of iOS and this game for my 5yo. He loves the game BUT where’s the volume?! Volume is turned up in app and on phone yet still no sound. Kind of defeats the purpose. Children need to see, hear and be having fun to get the full experience.

Why I gave it a 4 star

This app is SOO GREAT!! I’ve just started and I’m already in love. I definitely advise people to play this game. The graphics, quality, music, art EVERYWHERE I look is just beautiful. My favorite setting so far is the Junkyard. I’ve been inspired to continue to draw my graffiti artwork. But, the ONLY REASON I rated this a 4 star is because I can’t play this all day😭! I love this game so much I do t want to only do a few things in a day. I want to do so much until I get tired of it. But, I hope you guys download this game. It’s really awesome.🥳🥳🤩🤩😝😝🥰🥰

For ages 7-13 Improved vocabulary test scores—up to 43%” Up to four personalized child profiles and progress reports 100% ad free KidSAFE Coppa approved, quality screen time Get the app that’s 100% fun, 100% learning, 100% GAME! Watch as your kids play their way to improved vocabulary test scores—up to 43% in our focus group—and learn up to 1,000 new words a year with 20 minutes of gameplay per day. From the award-winning team at Mrs Wordsmith comes Word Tag: A brand new, epic video game so fun and engaging, your child won’t want to stop playing!

And since they’ll learn through gameplay, you’ll happily give in to “just 5 more minutes.” Combining cutting-edge game design, educational research, and genuinely fun gameplay, Word Tag will help your child improve their vocabulary and become a confident reader in just 20 minutes per day. Using a tried-and-tested framework, Word Tag uses fun minigames to give kids the exposures they need to retain vocabulary in bite-sized chunks. And from day 1, you’ll be able to see exactly what your child is learning in their personal progress report, from the syllables and synonyms to the pop quizzes and context word games! But though it might look like just play, it’s also a scientifically proven learning tool! Games engage our attention because they are hands-on experiences. When we are engaged, we learn better. Stanford Research shows that information presented in a game is more likely to be learned than the same information presented in a book. The immediate feedback, rewards, and gratification that games offer make them a groundbreaking learning device.. To embed the right pedagogy in the game, we brought in literacy experts to help produce our unique game-based learning approach. We are grateful to have received scientific guidance from Susan Neuman (Professor of Early Childhood and Literacy Education, NYU), Ted Briscoe (Professor of Computational Linguistics, University of Cambridge), and Emma Madden (Headteacher at Fox Primary, one of the UK’s top schools). Word Tag uses spaced repetition to teach vocabulary. the ultimate pillar of the Science of Reading framework. This is the most effective way to learn new words. It works by repeatedly exposing kids to the same word, over a series of short, focused sessions, to make sure vocabulary gets stored in long-term memory and, ultimately, to improve reading comprehension. Kids will encounter the same word eight times, across four different games: - Word Jumble: In this game, kids unlock word definitions by working with jumbled syllables that must be placed in the right order. This introduces them to the meaning, spelling, and pronunciation of each new word. - Word Pairs: this word game reinforces word meaning by bringing in synonyms and word pairs. - Words in Context: this sentence game gives kids a chance to use words in context by choosing the right word to complete a sentence. - Pop Quiz: This game helps recap what kids have seen before, as they choose synonyms and word pairs for multiple words in a fast-paced quiz. The order of the minigames in Word Tag is carefully scaffolded, with each minigame building further on kids’ understanding of a word. We took the elements that make for a great game (including rewards, exciting challenges, and a beautiful world to explore) and blended them with research on what boosts learning. - What vocabulary will kids see in Word Tag? Word lists are tailored to their needs, including: - Creative writing and literature words - Textbook words from the Lexile database - US exam words (inc. SSAT, SAT) - UK exam words (inc. KS1/KS2 SATs, ISEB 11+) - Inspirational words - STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) words US$9.99 monthly subscription after week of free trial
