Great signal strength meter when you can wade through the ads.
I really like the graphical signal strength meter that this provides. I don’t really have another device that does this in order to determine its accuracy but the values I get in different parts of the house make sense. Behind the refrigerator it’s weak and standing in front of the router it’s strong, etc. The color of the screen changes too depending on whether the signal is strong weak or somewhere in between. As for the rest of the information that this provides there isn’t much to it. There are other better analyzers out there that have a wider tool set. So you need to want this just for the signal strength meter. The ads can take up the entire screen and they are really hard to get rid of so you can see the app itself. Once you get through the barrage it does seem to stop. I looked at the premium version but it’s way overpriced for what this is.
Provides WiFi Signal Strength well but...
This app does a good job of displaying the WiFi signal strength which is very useful in locating weak spots but there are far too many advertisements which pop up approximately every 30 seconds and these advertisements completely intrude on the usability of the app since they completely take over the entire screen. Also a charge of $8.99 for the “pro” version is far more than it should be to remove the advertisements. A prime example of excessive greed.
The Pro version DID NOT stop the overwhelming onslaught of ads!
This is one of the worst apps I have ever purchased from Apple. I am shocked that Apple allows this Developer to be here. First, I downloaded the basic app to see if I liked it, and quickly discovered that the overwhelming onslaught of adds prevented me from using it sufficiently to decide if I liked it. However, I have not found another app that would allow me to measure the strength of my WiFi signal in each room of my house, as this one claims to do, so I decided to take a chance and buy the PRO version { $8.99 } which seemed expensive so I hoped it actually worked as claimed.To my surprise, buying the PRO version DID NOT make any difference. It DID NOT STOP OR EVEN REDUCE the number of ads. The continued overwhelming onslaught of ads makes it impossible to use this app. In my case, just trying to buy the App was frustrating. Each time I tried to click on the upgrade button another ad would pop up, effectively cancelling my action. When I finally succeeded in reaching the purchase page, after entering my password and clicking on Buy, the pop-up symbol spun, and almost simultaneously another pop-up said the purchase failed as another ad started. There are a lot of apps that measure WiFi speed, but few if any measure signal strength, which is actually just as important. So, I was excited when I first found this app, but I now know it is effectively useless.
?ADS WITHIN 5 SECONDS
I measured 5 seconds from start of the app to the first full screen ad. Then, full screen ads about every 15 seconds. Ads must run 5 seconds before they can be closed. Because of the interruptions, I wasn’t able to find any indication that this app measures WiFi signal strength. The author must think very poorly of their app to prevent any meaningful evaluation before interrupting a user. BTW, I support authors by buying apps I use. But, if I can’t confirm an app actually does what it claims (signal strength measurement), then the app might as well not exist. So, let’s just call this app, in its current form, a “non-app.” It’s is a waste of your time and was a waste of the author’s time.
Doesn’t work.
Read the latest reviews. Apparently the last iOS update (13) killed it. It simply doesn’t work. Doesn’t show Wifi strength. Doesn’t even recognize that you’re on WiFi. The speed check has a pop up that says it couldn’t load and to check your internet connection. I thought maybe it didn’t work with iPad. Loaded it on my phone. Same results. Ads pop up so fast that you can barely see the app itself. And if you upgrade to the paid version, you just flushed that money down the drain. I’m guessing either the developer will update the app to work with iOS 13 or Apple will remove it from the App Store pretty soon.
Garbage
Currently garbage on the latest iOS. Shows connected devices (not really useful), but shows no information about WiFi status and strength, which is all I need (also won’t run a speed test because it says my internet is not connected... it is). Full screen, highly intrusive ads after every function switch is also very annoyingCan not recommend this program at all as it is currently broken. Deleting less than 20 minutes after installing.
Little detail but tons of pop up ads
Shows one dial with signal strength but does not identify the source (we have a router and an extender and no way to see which it is measuring). The device scan just shows you a list of found devices with their IP, but nothing more than just that info. But every time it refreshes it popped up an ad for me, even moving around where the close x is on the screen, which seems clear to me—this is not an app for actual usefulness, just someone trying to get some ad money from their low quality app.
Ads galore
I was excited to try this based on the good reviews, but quickly ended up deleting it. As it scanned the network I thought, looks good. Then a few seconds in an ad pops up. Ok, I can handle an ad or 2. Literally every few seconds the app says updating scan, then pops up another ad. You close it and the , updating scan and bam. Another ad. I found it totally unusable unless your a major speed reader. Don’t waste your time. YOUR time is too valuable!
Ads Every 15 Seconds are Intolerable
I don’t mind adware, in most cases, but I’m using the ad supported version to see if I like this and get an ad that lasts a minimum of 5 seconds every 15-20 seconds. I don’t even have time to get to check out the interface or make sure I know what I’m reading on all parts of the display.I frequently get adware and check out all the programs that are close to what I need, then pay for the program that works well. I don’t mind paying.But I’m not going to give someone money to upgrade when they wallop me with so many ads I can’t even tell what’s going on or if I like their program. That feels like customer abuse.
Worked very well for some time then stopped wiorking
A month or so ago, I rated this application 5 stars for its functionality and reliability. I then upgraded to the pro version to eliminate the advertisements, and for a while longer it performed very well, ad free. Then, it stopped working entirely. I complained to the vendor via the application and got no response after a couple weeks. Out of desperation, I then uninstalled the application and re-installed it. The newly installed non-pro version did not work either but had a feature to upgrade to the pro version for users who had previously paid for it, i. e. me. That did not work either.I sent another complaint to the vendor, but I full expect no answer again and no help ever. The software is a dud, and the people selling it are even bigger duds. Save your time and money ; try some other application.October 17, 2019I have now submitted my third complaint to the company owner about my WiFi subterfuge, but have gotten no response. This vendor is a rip-off. Buy nothing from him.October 20, 2019As of this date, I have received no response to my three complaints. The vendor is clearly unresponsive. My app worked well initially and then stopped working. I recommend against using this app and definitely against paying money for the pro version.
