Really sad, but enjoyed it a lot

This sort of game doesn’t typically keep me engaged, but I really stayed hooked for the whole thing. The stories are wild and tragic, the narration is good, the graphics are really interesting, and I love that it’s told in vignettes with different controls and goals and such. There were a couple of levels that I found really annoying to get though - specifically Sam and Gregory - but it didn’t take me out of it.I know there are some Easter eggs/side quests/whatever so even though I played through I think I could get something out of another go around.I highly recommend the game.

Great Port of a Transcendent Game

Not to sound dramatic, but a life changing game here. As someone who’s experienced a lot of family deaths in the last decade, this game offers an otherworldly, cathartic experience, which really goes to show what AI games are really all about - not just about entertainment, but thought provoking, emotional adventures. As a follow up to Unfinished Swan, incredible work of art here Giant Sparrow.

A Must Buy walking simulation storygame

WARNING GAME INVOLVES LOTS OF CHILD DEATH IN ITS STORYI think the graphics looks better than it did on my xbox.... this game is so replay able I bought it once I saw I could bring this game anywhere with me in my pocket! The ending may be a downer for many people but this game explores the mystics and a story of family death. Ive never had a death in my close family but Im sure this game would help cope. Buy this game, and you can replay it so many times and not be bored. The video trailer and screenshots do not do justice for this game.

Enjoy walking around a house full of details to interact and see how nice they look including furnitures and pictures beautifully graphic.

Great and all but..

The game is amazing i just got it, but when I was play the Dawn mini game, it was IMPOSSIBLE to get the camera view changed, and I was getting really frustrated when it would take a photo and then make me wait just for me to AGAIN accidentally hit my screen.Overall great game really well made, but can you please fix the dawn mini game and make it a little easier for people on there phone, iPad, ect. Thank you!

Lovely game but bothersome

I love this game, and I’ve watched many gameplay’s so I just wanted to play it for myself. It says I don’t have the “right requirements” to play it and I should try on a different device. It says that you’re able to play if you have an “IPhone: 7th generation and up” now I don’t know my tech that well (I’m only a kid) but I have an iPhone 8+, shouldn’t that mean I should be able to play? It’s a 7th gen and up?

For fans of Spiritfarer

Wow. I very rarely leave reviews, but I just finished watching the credits and had to come share my thoughts. This story is so diverse in its elements, beautiful, poignant. I took several screenshots just because the scenery was so breathtaking. If you like story-driven games, especially those that deal with the concepts of life, death and the love you find in between (basically, if you liked Spiritfarer), give this one a try.

Couldn’t put it down

I love short, story-driven experiences and this game delivers on all fronts. Storytelling, atmosphere, emotion. I enjoyed it every step of the way. This is not really a traditional “game”, but rather something you experience. Obviously don’t want to say much, but at 2-3 hours, it’s the perfect length to captivate you without overstaying it’s welcome.

Amazing story and clever (but often broken) mechanics

Loved every second of exploring the house and scrounging up quotes from Edith. There are quite a few buggy, or nearly unplayable, mechanics in various mini games. Particularly the Barb story. On mobile I could barely move because it kept glitching and swinging the crutch. Didn’t stop my enjoyment of it though. I really love that every story has a new mechanic that the player has to learn. Overall, worth every penny.

Absolutely loved it. Left me leaving wanting more!

I had no issues with game play, some things are challenging but it was great! I wish it had been longer and I wish every story app was this interactive. I don’t recommend for young ages but as an adult I enjoyed it. I just couldn’t break away. If you have a day to yourself and just want to relax at home, it’s finishable. Oh and when you get to the treehouse just approach the ladder and climb it. There’s no clue there.

Description

*ATTENTION* Works with compatible Apple devices below. What Remains of Edith Finch is a collection of strange tales about a family in Washington state. As Edith, you’ll explore the colossal Finch house, searching for stories as she explores her family history and tries to figure out why she's the last one in her family left alive.

Each story you find lets you experience the life of a new family member on the day of their death, with stories ranging from the distant past to the present day. The gameplay and tone of the stories are as varied as the Finches themselves. The only constants are that each is played from a first-person perspective and that each story ends with that family member's death. Ultimately, it's a game about what it feels like to be humbled and astonished by the vast and unknowable world around us. Created by Giant Sparrow, the team behind the first-person painting game The Unfinished Swan. iPhone - 7th generation and higher iPhone SE - 2nd generation iPad - 6th generation and higher iPad Air - 3rd generation and higher iPad mini - 5th generation and higher iPod touch - 7th generation iPad Pro - 2nd generation and higher
