Its good
Its good but could use a better pop up blocker. Im sure it works on plenty of sites but its only worked on a few i actually want this app for. Back to the blocker not sure if it was the site but i couldnt hit the back arrow fast enough to get back to the site. The couple times i closed app and or tab it almost immediately popped back up worse. Also i can only see 3 thing queue list.

10/10 then this is the app- I do wish we could select what quality we wanna play but still I’ve used this for years and never had an issue- as for ROKU try a different app. Rokus aren’t great for casting though in my experience. Especially with iPhones. As for the negative reviews saying “don’t know how to use it” - try google- it’s also free and takes literally seconds to learn how to cast videos. So yes. I highly recommend this app for chromecast. Also blocks 90% of the intrusive pop up ads on our favorite 1 2 3 f i l m sites! Bless you developers of this dear app. (Add some bonus features such as quality playback selection and subtitle turn on option- and I’d happily pay a fee to purchase this!) keep up the good work!
The best Casting App for iOS
Of all the apps I’ve downloaded (Castio, AllCast, VideoCast, etc.), WebCast is by far the most superior! All of the basic features you need are there from the get go. The interface is clean with the ability to conveniently cast the media file with just a tap on the convenient Play Now pop up. No need for the ‘detect media file’ nonsense from other apps. This app’s browser also allows multiple tabs, bookmarks and favorites on the Home Screen which is really hard to find in other Casting apps available on iOS. The only things I hope the devs improve upon is the website AdBlocker and to add the ability to cast the media’s subtitles or allow us to load subtitles from our local files or from a URL. If they add those features in the future, WebCast will no doubt be the greatest Casting App on the App Store.
Superb App!!!
Seriously! I tried literally over 10 different Cast apps including paid ones such as the TV CAST package of multiple cast apps for $9.99, iWebTV, Tubio, TV Assist, among other but not one like this one. I’m using iPhone 6 and the Roku Ultra and so far so good. Maybe there is something better than this but certainly not to my knowledge.
Just the right amount of ads!
This app is the only iOS chrome cast app that doesn’t spam you every time you click something with ads! There’s only one ad when you actually cast something and that’s it! P.s. if the devs are reading this I sometimes click through the ads cause I love the app so much ;)
Stuff is a bit scratchy
I love this app a lot, and have been using it to watch movies online and they’ve been very useful since I don’t have cable. 2 years have I been using it and nothing seemed to have gone wrong until a couple of weeks ago when I played a movie and it was scratchy throughout the entire film. It would barely do that in the past but now it’s continuing to do so. If there is a setting I need to fix, or something I can do to stop it being so scratchy, please let me know.
Will not cast to Roku
Ever since the update to version 1.3.2, when attempting to connect to Roku the app crashes instantly. I updated to iOS 14, went to settings > Webcast > Local Network “on” but that did not provide a fix. Everything works a before with Chromecast. I have looked everywhere on the App Store and the developer’s website but there is no email/method to contact app support. Please help!
Great app! Made me switch in a second!
Fantastic app!I used Castio for over a year but it did not detect videos very successfully and videos took a long time to load.Recently, I was switching to Cast TV | Chromecast and, while its performance was better, it required a lot of in-app purchases to extend beyond very basic functionality. This is typically not a problem for me, but I did not like that the design and interface was mediocre at best.This app is not only magnificently functional, but it comes with every feature unlocked. I don’t mind some reasonable publicity or paying a reasonable price for an ad-free version. In addition, this app offers great playback controls, bookmarks, tabs, short video loading times, and has a pleasant design.So far, I highly recommend it.
Super useful!
Love this app! Just what I was looking for. The only issue that I don’t like is that it doesn’t allow you to sign in into your dailymotion account, it always shows the message: something went wrong, so you can’t access to your playlists... other than that everything great!
The best one of its kind
I’ve tried aaaall the web casting apps and this is the ONLY one that functions properly, without pop ups and without crazy banners floating around. Doesn’t take a million clicks just to cast one video. Works on every streaming site I’ve been on so far. And you can leave the app without interrupting the cast. It’s clean, simple, and easy to use. You can keep looking but I promise you nothing will compare to this one.
