Excellent app
This resource has not only informed me but inspired me to follow my passions towards a career in Investment Banking. Working upwards of 80 hour weeks at Chipotle all to afford an education at a university has now led me to my first M&A internship following my sophomore year in college and sets me up perfectly for a BB internship the following summer. The resources offered through this app are the only reason I received interviews and excelled in those interviews. I highly recommend downloading for any person interested in a career in the financial markets!

Wall Street Oasis is a brilliant community for everyone to learn more about business, finance, and banking. Whether you are a college student, already in the workforce, or even in high school, the information this app/website provides in regards to the interview process, what each job entails, as well as resume templates - as well as much more - are very useful resources to help develop and grow your knowledge & understanding of Wall Street.
Information Oasis
There is so much information and content per category, I admit, it’s still somewhat overwhelming, but I interpret it as a good thing. When I’m overwhelmed by information it’s a strong reminder of how little I know and the pursuit is all about the journey. Really has so much insider type information. Since I’m in college — what really stuck out for me are the college charts showing how they stack up year to year and how the Buldges or EBs tend to hire. It’s also great to be able to interact with monkeys that are current/former finance employees which is really hard to come by while in college which is the furthest thing from reality. Awesome stuff!
WSO in App Form !
I absolutely love that WSO has developed an app and made the incredible community accessible on-the-go. I literally use this app all the time (too many late nights when I should be sleeping, but alas). My one point of constructive criticism would be somehow incorporating the additional elements of the online version into the app. For example, a search function that included an Advanced Search would do wonders for trying to find the answers you need fast. Other than that, I could not be happier with having WSO on my iPhone always!
Overall Great App
I’ve been reading WSO for years and downloaded the app earlier this year. It’s super convenient to have access to the content on my phone through the app. The only downsides are I can’t access to direct messages through the app, and sometimes when I click a link through my web browser on my phone the thread won’t open up in the app even when I hit yes on the pop up (maybe it’s just a google chrome thing). Overall, the app is great for anyone that enjoys reading WSO.

This is a great app so that I always have WSO close either on. Y phone or iPad. I became hooked on both the posts as well as the courses and now everything is readily available. As a newcomer to the field I have found the most realistic discussion boards. I may not agree with everything, but the activity gives me the ability to get many views on a subject. Great app with great content!

Wall St. is secretive by nature. Comp, day to day work, and even culture are widely discussed on the internet. As a college student, those are important inputs when it comes to choosing one bank over another. If you are patient and can manage to sort through countless of threads, WSO will give you the answer you need. This app has been crucial for my success during recruiting season. Thank you for making this platform available to us all!
Great for seeing focused notifications
While I wasn’t initially sure if this app would be necessary, I decided to try it. I found that it’s quite effective for getting personalized notifications of new threads on the site once I browsed the forums enough in the app for it to know my preferences. This has been time saving, as it’s not as easy to get sucked into wasting time reading through many different threads, looking for just one or two that apply to my personal situation.
Great Place to Find Guidance on High-Finance Jobs
As a college student recruiting for IB and other high-finance jobs, it can be really confusing which technicals to study, what the timeline is, how to set up coffee chats, etc. The app has a lot of information so it can be a bit overwhelming at first. Once you get the hang of it though, it’s really easy to find advice on any topic related to finance. I personally found it useful when trying to figure out how to network with professionals and what certain banks look for in candidates.
Informative Community
WSO is an amazing app if you’re good at sifting through information and know what advice to take. Sometimes it can seem exhausting and it can feel like a lot of people on the app are just other college students who are giving advice on subjects they don’t fully understand, but if you have patience you’ll find other who offer amazing advice on the finance field. Thankfully, WSO has an indicator showing a user’s experience in finance. This proves most useful when you’re viewing responses to a question. Because of this indicator the app is amazing and you can seek advice from well experienced individuals in finance.
