A letter to the Devs as well as a few tips for those experiencing issues
Dear Developers,Your app works great, and the facial recognition is seamless! However, I hope this app will see some future updates and patches. The interface and software are quite intuitive, but there are still many dead ends (i.e. non-reversible actions) in the app that need fixing, such as:1) Checking the option to hide the menu button leaves you with no way to access the menu again apart from reinstalling the app2) Opening the menu using the aforementioned (unhidden) menu button leaves you with a nice menu with two tabs, but no way to exit the menu after that, whether any changes are made. As of now, the only way to both exit the menu and keep your changes seems to be to exit and relaunch the app.Apart from these two dead ends, I see absolutely nothing wrong with this app on the iOS platform. Also, before posting a nasty review that the app doesn’t work, make sure to check if the software “works on this iPhone” because it requires both an iPhone/iPad with Face ID recognition, as well as the most up-to-date iOS version. Some older versions of iOS just don’t support face tracking/recognition even if the phone it is running on has the FaceID capability.Regards,A humble customer and vtuber.
Works great with perfect sync every time!
I use this with VSeeFace and it works great every time, both on Windows and Ubuntu. I would like to have different background options as well as an easier way to import VRM models to the app in the future.
Good, could be improved
It would be nice if we could import the vrm from files. Also if you load the app at an odd angle there’s no way to reset the character position aside from force stopping the app and opening it again, so a button for that within the settings would be nice. Also green screen background function would be cool.Otherwise the app functions pretty decently most of the time
VRoid Hub connection crashes app
Everything else about this app is excellent for the price of zero dollars. Face tracking is good and it connects over the network to PC just fine. I'm really only now reviewing it so the dev knows it crashes when connecting to VRoid Hub, but I had no issues doing so untiI recently. Troubleshooting, I've reinstalled the app, logged in and out of the VRoid Hub website, revoked app perms for this app from my Pixiv/VRoid account settings, and I have the same result. Immediately after tapping the blue "Connect to VRoid Hub" button, the app closes. Only reason for 4 stars is this. I'll adjust the review when it works again. 😄
Crashes
This app crashes as soon as you press on the Vroid Hub button no matter what you try to do to fix the issue. This issue has also been going on for over a month with zero fix. It worked greatly before but it randomly started doing this. I give a one star because it seems the maker doesn’t care about paying attention to the app, also a 1 star rating is more likely to be noticed by the developer than a 4/5 star rating.
Love the app but there’s one issue
I love the app so much but when I click to add my own VRoid model it crashed, I did it again and it crashed, I keep doing it again and again but it still crashes, can you please fix this bug
The face expressions arent working
When i got the app i was waiting for it it load but when i loaded in the character was still. Nothing happened maybe theres something i have to do but i dont know what. There was one thing that popped up it said allow device to connect to local networks and i pressed allow. Maybe i shouldn’t have pressed allow but i want to play with the face expressions. I really dont know what to do.
Was working great for like 3 days
Everything worked until today. I’ve been using it fine for about a week, and then today it just doesn’t send info to VseeFace. I tried it with the PC app as well, but it didn’t work at all. Reinstalled everything, reset VSF, reuploaded my model, everything. The ports all match and it shows it tracking on the iPhone but just dead in the water I guess.
It’s fine but some issues
A friend was making a 3D model of me yes? So in order to calm myself down I got this app to get used to things, day 1 was awesome the tracking was on point and the mouth movement was okay in my opinion but day 2? Well the camera was shaking, the character was having a hard time following my eye movement and mouth movement, and it didn’t move at all. And sometimes when I opened the game the character wouldn’t respond to my movements it would just stand there starring at me so I got a little bit uncomfortable.. but yeah! It’s an okay game I just wish that I didn’t have bugged on my end 😅 thank you for taking the time to read this
App does not track face at all for vrms.
I wish fofamit would stop promoting this app as a face tracking option or update her video for vtubers to leave this app out. I’ve tried multiple times and ways to use this. Nothing works on this app. I don’t think this is for newer iPhones. It literally doesn’t work and nothing tracks from what I can see. This app I don’t understand the point of it.

waidayo is an application that reproduces your facial expression on an avatar. It supports the VMC protocol and can send facial motion capture data to compatible software such as a PC. An iPhone or iPad compatible with Face ID is required to recognize facial expressions.
