I have deleted and reinstalled this app multiple times over the past several years and it still won't open a downloaded issue Saturday as of APRIL 2018. TRADOC should be mortified that they can't produce a functional product. certainly hope this monstrosity is not reflective of how well they train new troops. As a retired Army field grade officer, I am embarrassed to have the Army logo associated with it.
App doesn’t work, only displays newsletters from 2 years ago. Why are all military websites over complicated and unintuitive? I only use when absolutely necessary and it is always frustrating, never easy.
Installed on my iPad and iPhone. Only took a few minutes to start working on the iPad. Took almost an hour on iPhone. During that time only the logo page was showing. It's slow installing but worth the wait 😎
Opened the app and was presented current and back issues of Echoes. Hit download on the current one, then Open to open it in iBooks or whatever. No problem!
Don't bother downloading this app. You can only read it when the iPhone is held straight up. The print is much too small for anyone to read. Zooming in doesn't help, unless you like to read your articles phrase by phrase. Downloaded this app on both my iPhone 4 and iPhone 5, had the same results on both.
After reading the May ~ July 2023 newsletter, I downloaded the app. *Latest newsletter: Feb~Apr 2023. Not up to date. *Clicked on a link - worked great. Couldn’t get back to Echo article. *Couldn’t forward or send article to another program. *Couldn’t select text to have it read (spoken). With a few updates, this app could get 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had no problems opening or reading Echoes using this App.
If the people who developed this app were in charge of developing the plans for the Normandy invasion, we'd all be speaking perfect German today. This isn't rocket science guys. For example, you click on the lastest issue and nothing happens. And if an older issue does open, it's just a .pdf in really tiny font that our old, retired eyes can't read. Sure, you can use two fingers to zoom in, but then can't read the rest of the article without scrolling left and right, up and down. Whoever is responsible for this should be reassigned to permanent police call around some random parking lot. Maybe then the government will get its money's worth.
The app fails to access/open the Echoes file after downloading on my iPad..ugh!!However it does connect to an Army website where I can view archived back issues. So please ensure that all issues of Echoes get archived ASAP!!
Tried numerous times to open recent released articles, app just shows “loading”, very disappointing as I will retire in 30 days, after 30 yrs of service, and I am continually reminded how “technology” tied we are but still can’t get systems to work
