Ads were too many
This app forces you to watch a video advertisement every time before watching any news clips that are less than a minute long. It’s so painful when you want to watch news in loops. I had to uninstall it.
Needs to be dismissed
Not to mention the annoying ads, it’s an extreme disgrace that this so called news reporting team practices self censorship for public opinion manipulation.The whole company is eagerly demanded to be completely shut down by the mass majority in Hong Kong. And hopefully this will happen soon one day, for the bitter fruit it planted. The whole team of the department should also deserve their doomsday trial, for allowing this misfortune continues while staying ‘neutral’ and indifferent.

Ads every second
Very annoying ads keeps on popping up as soon as you tap, I haven’t even get to watch anything and saw like 3 ads already, uninstalling
The app needs to close completely if it’s been idle on the background
If u close the sound stream and leave it on the background, the next time you play the sound stream again, it will only play about 30 seconds to a minute then stop completely. You will need to exit the app completely to get it play again. The old version before the redesign didn’t have this issue.
Rarely found Unbiased news media
While 90% of the media in HK are biased in today’s political atmosphere, TVB reporters dare to bring facts to the audiences. Bravo!
Way too many ads for an official app
I am surprised an official app from this company try to show so many ads. I once suspected if this is a fake company just trying to get some money from ads. Come on, you are not a individual developer who needs to make a living from the ads. Even if you want to show ads, show less please. You show ads more than any game I played.

A must-have
The smooth streaming, professional and elegant presentation of news and programs, and great quality of picture and sounds make it one of my favorite apps! I have been watching these channels for many years. They have become a part of my daily life. For the ads which another reviewer mentioned, I don’t have ads for my usage of this app. Not sure if it’s because of the region in which the user is in, and in my case, I am in North America.
This TVB App never sleeps when it should - others do...
I have figured out NOT to press pause while streaming this app on my iPad. You pause a show in mid-steam and you might think it should only be awaken when you press play later. Nope! It turns itself back on if my iPhone nearby gets an incoming call. Imagine having to answer the phone call while trying the shut the noisy iPad app down. No other iPad streaming app acts this way. Telling me the developers of this TVB app are just not professional enough to set the simple pause/sleep protocol like other have...
