A useful skin care resource

This app is very useful. It basically creates a diary kind of format for you to monitor your skins progress and the breakouts that you experienced through blackheads, acne, dry skin and other such things. The app gives you questions to answer about problems you experience with your face, which allow for it to determine solutions for you, so you’ll need to have a good understanding about your skin type. I think the app holds massive potential but the facial skin Analysis is a bit flawed. The analysis told me my skin is 15 years older than I am, and I don’t have horrible skin. In conclusion, I think that this app will only become better with time and people need to use this as a diary and not as much for the analysis.

Good but room for improvement

Being able to track progress visually is great but the analysis almost seems arbitrary, it doesn’t seem able to identify products based on the photos it asks you to take (why not a barcode scanner or some other way to auto fill the info and compare it against a database of products like many other apps have, so you don’t need to manually enter all the info yourself?) In some ways it seems inadvertently designed to tap into people’s insecurities in a potentially unhealthy way instead of being a way to track the efficiency of your skincare products and routine. On days where my skin is looking and feeling great my analysis results suggest it is doing worse than on days when I have visible breakouts, it makes no sense to me!

Very grateful for a FREE yet comprehensive app like this

The best thing about Trove is that it is actually free and doesn’t feel sample-sized or like merely an interactive advertisement like other free apps. There are a lot of useful tools and several different components to play around with. It’s mostly a skin diary, I don’t know how well the analysis tool actually works because it gave me an 87% and I don’t think my skin is anywhere near that healthy looking! But taking the daily pictures and being able to compare them side by side is useful, as is the skin diary which tracks your mood, menstrual cycle status, and products you used that day.

So..Adore it! great for newly broken out skin!

Just recently I got my first breakout! Just turned twelve a few days ago and i new this was coming. The one day that I got them I started freaking out and texting my cousin for help. Thankful we talked and she told to find some skin scanning skincare websites. That very second I thought about TroveSkin! It was an app my friend told me about. She had just gotten her first break out then, and told me to use when I get mine. She ended up only getting breakout durring her period (happens to the best of us 😅). She always says that she would be a pepperoni pizzz if it wasn’t for this app. I used the app for 3 days and now I don’t have any pimples. This app is actually a living legend! I’m going to tell my kids about this when I get older lol! Thanks so much for helping my skin. The only feedback I have to give you guys is is there any way you could make the routine part more accessible. It’s very hard to find and I struggle to find it a lot. But other than that... Thank you!!!! 😍😘🥳🤩💞💚💕💚🖤🧡

Great for a skin diary, not the analysis

I honestly don’t believe this app does a great job on the skin analysis part, either I’m overthinking the quality of my skin and assume it’s much worse than it is, or it isn’t picking up the spots. Regardless, this does make it really easy to keep a daily log of your skin, what products you’ve used, how you felt, and everything else going on to help you really get intune with your skincare. I love the compare function, it’s helpful to see selfies from different times and then go to check to see if any of your products were different. Overall really really good but not if you’re looking for the analysis purpose!

Great App - Some Bugs

Overall really great app! I love being able to track my pictures and easily compare one day from the other. It’s really helped me be in touch more with my skin. The one reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it does bug out. For example, a big part of me using this app is adding in products used to every one of my pictures so I can track how certain products are affecting my face. For some reason, most of the time I log in the products used section of my face log is just blank. It’s frustrating to have taken all that time to log my products and add them everyday to the app to see it all wiped out by some technical error. All in all, great app, but could use some technical tightening in the programming side.

Wonderful App!!

I am so glad I came across this app. It has helped in many ways with my skincare journey. My favorite feature is taking photos of your face as a guide to see what has changed and what hasn’t. If you are into skincare then this is the app you need!! You can create many routines and add your own products if they aren’t listed. It’s Albert user friendly and easy to keep track. You can always keep track of your product expiration dates. Definitely a plus in this app! Download today!! You won’t be disappointed at all!!

Finally, an easy way to track my routine!

I was honestly going to start tracking my skincare in Google Keep or a notepad because I was getting frustrated. How do we know what's working unless we track it? And then I have products that I just haven't worked into my regimen regularly. This app resolves all that. I really love it. I was looking for a simple tracker and got so much more. Let's just hope this one doesn't go away and it keeps being updated efficiently.One negative is having to take photos of products. Just give us a drop-down list of brands and products like the Skintime app does. Like I’m gonna go around my dressing room taking photos of all my skincare products. Come in.

so disappointed.

I have been using this App since it was just starting up. I tracked my skin for the past almost two years and had been confident that my photo logs would be saved on the app and I would not need to save it to my phone. Excited for an update, I eagerly download it just to my absolute horror that all of my data and pictures were inaccessible unless I paid a 799 monthly subscription??? Absolutely ridiculous that there was no warning, and I couldn’t save ANY of those past pictures and documentation of my skin journey. Now, I have lost years of data because of another money-hungry app looking to feed on loyal users like me who will be DEVASTATED to see they can no longer compare skin or see ANY of their past selfie logs. i emailed customer service and they have yet to respond to me.i use these pictures with my dermatologist to track my progress, and now what? I MUST pay to see data that used to be free, without any warning or notice to SAVE the previous photos? DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP. absolutely no reason why i need to pay money to see MY data that i used to be able to access any time. Now i have no pictures documenting my skincare journey and i am heartbroken. hopefully they fix this for users that have been loyal and allow them to at least retrieve their selfie log & skin analysis pictures :(

Analysis is useless but the interface is great

The analysis portion of this app is useless - back to back readings of the same selfie come up with completely different results - The age factor will be 10 years different plus the “spots” often pick up the corner of my eyes but miss totally obvious acne and scaring and textures are completely random. I’m not even sure there is AI built in this app. The comparison to other users doesn’t even have results. It always just says 0.The redemptive part is the manual tracking tools and interface. The side by side comparison function and skin diary are perfect for historical comparison and assessment of your skin appearance and product usage. It’s great for self analysis. And, it’s the only app available on the usa store that does this.
