Enjoyable but
I really like trivia, so this game brings me a lot of fun as well as a lot of challenge. I like that I can go from category to category depending on what kinds of questions I’m in the mood for. What I don’t get is when I answer incorrectly, the game summary indicates that I’ve gotten every question correct. There’s no competition against others, so it’s not a real problem; just wondering why it happens.
Errors are too frequent
Just an example regarding biathlon competition in olympics: what caliber rifles are used? Choices are 7mm, 7.62mm, 5.56mm, and .22mm. The closest is the expression of .22 caliber (.22 inches) = 5.56mm. The supposedly correct answer is .22mm.... Pencil leads aren’t that minuscule. Also, having set US as the area for me, I am saddened to see so many UK questions regarding sports, etc. I get more discouraged every time I play. Perhaps the creators will put some effort into correcting these problems, but I note that there is NO mechanism for reporting errors in the game except this.
Freezes repeatedly
Good enough game, but this is now the third time it’s frozen after a few questions and become totally unresponsive. Nothing you can do but delete and reinstall. Hard to recommend under these circumstances.
Needs better regional content.
This is a great app if you are interested in trivia as trivial pursuit is the classic gold standard.However this app is sorely lacking in content. As an American who has selected America as my country and American English as my language in the settings I am constantly given questions that use meters and centimeters as well as many questions involving British terminology, references, and slang which are not used outside of the UK. Terms like Ladybird (Ladybug).Weather it’s that all science questions use the metric system or the absurd overabundance of history questions concerned about British royalty in place of what should be world history questions, this app fails to accurately transition the original card game to a digital platform.The lack of impartiality that this app has is a huge deficit from the original game and it begs the question: if my paper game can be made as a North American edition how can this digital platform not follow suit.
Overall fine game...
So first off I’m nine and most of these questions I don’t even get. Most of the ones that I do get (which does not happen very often) is always in entertainment. Also every time I try to get an extra life it always says video unavailiable which is pretty crazy other than that it is an overall fine game. Although please make it more for kids!!! Thanks 💝💝💝
Hardly any repeated questions
I like this game. I’ve had about 1600 questions and only like 1 in 75 is a repeated question and it took a couple of weeks to see even one. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 is because the scoring is not clear. There are numbers in the top right hand corner like a 45 which bounces from 45 to 44 or 35 but I’m not sure what they represent. You get a bonus when you answer 300 questions in any category but what’s the bonus? I’m on level 12 but not sure how far it goes or if there is an end to the game. I’ve checked the settings to find out these things but so far, nothing that I see explains the scoring. That being said; great distraction with lots of new questions. I’ve picked up a lot of knowledge from this game.
New categories and price
I like this trivia app for questions and not many repeats. But all of a sudden, ads pop up way more?! And my one biggest complaint before was I wished they did more trivia categories. Needless to say, I got excited when I saw the recently added 30-40 new categories. Of course, “for purchase” ugh. I’m down to pay for the app, but it costs 1,000 jewels to play one new category. To buy 500 jewels, cost $10. So if you want to be able to just play any of the new categories, it would cost $20 per one category (1,000 jewels). For all 30 - 40 new categories, would cost $600-$800! Most apps just do one annual subscription which is fine- at like $20-$50 one time purchase. I would pay that, but then should get to play any category. Maybe I’m wrong and there’s a way to just do one annual purchase for all categories? If so, let me know and I’ll update my review.
Duplicate questions
It’s fun, but after maybe 8 or 9 games you start getting questions here and there that you’ve already answered in a previous game. And for me, I’m getting questions I already answered correctly. It would be one thing if they once in a while duplicate a question that you previously got wrong, but that’s not what’s happening…
Thinking
I sometimes have trouble where countries are and. I’m very uncertain of sports times where held etc. I am almost 75 and these things did not always concern me growing older as I had family not raise . Things I remembered well were more important I believe. I would like to see more about animals and such. Doing a good job all over though. Thanks. To raise sorry
Used to be great.
Used to be a lot of fun. Now the program is so lame it hurts. Regular long delays. Finish one round and have to wait and wait to get a restart for a new game. Having to wait and wait is most unacceptable. There’s no reason for it. Or is there????Update. Sept 2023. Using Artificial Intelligence for answers???You do know that is an oxymoron? Synonyms for Artificial: unreal, contrived, hokey, fake, false, imitation, counterfeit. So your answers are based on that? I must find a game whose answers are truly factual, not made up.
