Derailment at the Lumbermill

I love the train driver series but..... there is a problem two problems actually TJD 5 problem: The harbormaster is incomplete I tell you to pick up invisible cars and the junctions don’t switch They just stay locked in the wrong direction So I hope you can fix that problem TJD 2 problem: There’s a track that is not connected where you load up your wood chips off the sliders point it is not connected so I hope you can fix that and make sure review all your apps for any bugs and please can you add trainz driver because I loved the 4 Arcade sessions but now you have to buy them I do not like that I hope you read this review it is very important if you can fix these bugs and add trainz driver all the mobile players will be very happy I guarantee including myself and I forgot to mention one thing Trainz driver 2 Crashes sometimes for multiple actions happening at the same time and then the game crashes I hope you can fix this bug I hope you understand these problems P.S. keep making more train driver Journeys and add a bit more free content i’m bored of the six routes and also add free drive to Wadlbavale to karrah bay And add any free drives too routes that don’t have them please and thank you I hope you like this review <3 (: P.S 2 TDJ 5 problem two: I can’t place the B&O Freight train anywhere no matter how long the track is Or the junctions are switched right So please fix this bug I will add to this review if I find any more bugs.

It’s okay, but needs major work

It does a pretty good job... for 2006, if this app were updated, I would gladly buy it. However, the developers have waited too long and now I buy all my simulators from dovetail games. The simulation isn’t the best, but is still entertaining. The audio is the same guy talking every time, which gets slightly annoying. But the good sides in the accuracy, and the trains. Some good old fashioned American, it’s diverse, I like that.

Great train sim app but...

It could use more live action such as people walking around, animals roaming and grazing around and cars, trucks, buses traveling on the roads. Should be able to see them driving up to the crossing and waiting for the train(s) to go by. Bring some realism to the train app. Let's here some real live audio with people talking and and animal sounds and other everyday life things that happen. Such as seeing people operating the cranes and other equipment. I give this app 5 stars since the app runs flawlessly, so far, without crashing.

Great Game, a Bit Outdated

All of the trainz driver journey games are pretty much the same with different routes. Each game offers a variety of scenarios and free drive. The controls are simple, but you can also opt for expert controls. The graphics are from 2006, and while decent, could use improvement. The scenarios are straightforward and vary in difficulty. I recommend buying the set of each game if you like this one. Free drive allows you to place trains, and feature’s wonderful AI that can deliver cargo or passengers all on their own. You can also spawn your own trains. Overall, this is a great series that, with some bug fixes, is worth the money.

Fix the bugs to make it great!

Love the realism. Love the scenarios. Love the interesting routes and layouts. Almost all the scenarios have at least one bug that makes it unplayable. Developers really need to do a thorough QA. TDJ 6 Up to the Mountains 2 (btw love the vocal instructions) has you return to the valley via the lumber mill which at the valley end has a red signal and is switched the wrong way. The second time I did this scenario, I waited 20 minutes for the signal and switch to change so I could move forward, but if I moved passed, I didn’t get a red penalty but train derailed; this one of many fixes that are needed. Also please fix the red signaling to not be dependent on train position; on many scenarios have to be even with the signal light to get it to change. Anyway, willing to give every faulty scenario if you want to hire me. Fix the bugs and I’ll give it 5 stars.

Not bad

Not bad at all! But just encountered a bug! Keeps saying I crossed a red signal when I haven't seen or will have a signal within 1.2k or whatever! Slightly annoying, especially given the fact that it's already a long session for that to happen close to the end! Other than that, I Love It!

Good but add 1 train

Hello I like this game very much because of the sessions and free driving and the trains but there’s something that’s missing in one of the sessions it has a milk train I just no remeber the name and it’s not in free drive please add this train to free drive

Lots of bugs

Train driver 2, Freight liner 2, keeps faulting me for passing a red signal when one doesn’t exist. In cab signal shows .49k to a yellow signal. I can’t finish that level. really poor beta testing, I guess. I hope the rest of the levels don’t have similar flaws, but so far, it’s been a waste of time. Level three shut down mid game. So, that’s two out of three levels, so far, with issues. Sad. Wish I hadn’t wasted my $3. Give this game a pass.....

Great, but...

On freight liner part 1 in TDJ2, after you pick up the first set of train cars, it tells you you have a red signal on the GUI on top. However you can clearly see the signal in front of you is green. Eventually though the GUI changes to green. Then later on, for some reason, it keeps telling me I passed a red signal when I was still a kilometer away from the next signal according to the GUI. And even then the GUI shows the next signal as being yellow. Also I don’t recall even seeing another signal, either time.

The app is definitely a good one, but I still would recommend to get either, Trainz 2, or the whole Trainz Driver Journeys Series.The game features great scenery, good locomotive, great rolling stock, and good sounds! It could use more sessions, and they should let you make your own trains and stuff in scenario. So out of 5, I give it 4. Happy driving!
