This game is fun just like the show

The game is fun and gives you different variety on the enemies and your peoples attacks. It gives you a story like some games and is funny and is perfect on the characters personality in the show. I like how they also made the characters more crisp and modern, and the combat is fun. I just have 2 complaints. The first thing is that you don’t get to do much. You just watch and hope you win. The only time you get to press anything is when your choosing you characters to start the match, and when your fighting to get you character to do a special move unless you have it on so it does it on its own. Speaking of special moves, that brings me to my second complaint. The levels 99% of the time are so easy to beat. All you have to do is keep pressing buttons to get the characters to do their special moves. Other than that the game is fun and makes me feel like I am helping the turtles like I am in the show.

Not really a game so much as a “who can spend more” simulator.

I’ve been playing this game since launch. Since then, because of consistent bugs during every update cycle, I’ve wasted countless hours of play in terms of the bit currency (used to obtain new heroes) and other currencies. People exploit the system regularly both thru cheats and some bugs and will absolutely decimate any hope of progress you might have. To top it off, their rng method for obtaining those luscious, hard to get characters is absolutely abysmal. As I said, I’ve been playing since launch and because of this rng and system abuse, I have lost every chance to obtain good 4&5 star rated characters. My roster consists of the absolute worst tier possible in the game and no amount of hoarding resources outside of dropping hundreds of dollars will get me to where that “loot” is. Avoid this game if you’re looking for a fun and engaging experience. You literally just idle matches in real time and collect characters. That’s it. Oh, and there is no endgame content. There’s nothing to do at all late game other than log in once a day and watch a handful of ads. Kongregate his really dropped the ball with this game.

Review/suggestions

I don’t often review games, but when I saw this game in an ad in another one of my games I HAD to try it out. As an 80’s baby that grew up on TMNT the nostalgia was at 100! I love the art style and the animations and the overall polish of the game. It’s visually appealing to me and I like playing around with different team compositions. Here comes my first suggestion. I would love to see bonus synergies with certain hero combinations. i.e. I would love to see if Casey Jones and April were both on a team they get some bonuses, Tokka and Rahzar, the 4 turtles, Bebop and Rocksteady etc etc. Next, I fully understand this is supposed to be an idle game at its core. However, I enjoy it so much I wish there were additional game modes to enjoy. Once I hit that PVE wall and finish all my pvp battles I find myself checking the game periodically to see if there is something I can do and am sad when I realize I just need to wait for more resources to progress. Maybe something like a gauntlet mode or a way test various team compositions to see what you want to use. Etc. I didn’t play the beta so idk where this game started but I enjoy it and see a lot of potential. I hope to see a lot more coming to the game in the future.

Not a great game!

Again like most people say this game has potential but what it lacks is game modes and more activities to keep busy. It’s like after you get some toons and build them after awhile you are at a road block for days before you can do anything and the further you go the longer you’ll have to wait for materials or to progress further in the game. You can’t go back through the levels and grind for ooze. It’s Mostly all about money!!! This is not a free to play game after awhile. If you want to play daily you’ll have to spend an ungodly amount of money! Toon pulls are lame as you only get 2 star pulls which take awhile to build enough up to get 1 pull and it takes forever to get a 3 or 4 star pull as you don’t get those materials needed enough to pull them. I don’t see this game going very far as many people stopped playing this game because of the long long long wait to progress. NOTE TO DEVELOPERS: You have got to make a change in this game to benefit the players not the developers. I rate your game a 3/10 with potential, if you change the gameplay and modes this game could be something special.

Horrible game

I’ve been playing this game religiously for three months maybe more. If I can give it a zero star I would! Once you reach a level 200 for your characters it jumps from 10,000,000 to 60,000,000 units to give them a level so it goes up 50 million units when before it was going up to hundred thousanddish to make your levels. So once you get to that 200 level mark it takes so much more to level up your players if feels like they are trying to put a halt or slow down the production because they cannot keep up! I have also written them because temptress doesn’t get her final upgrade of the dragon picture I’ve had her and I’ve written the writers of this game and it is still under production after two months of me asking where it is! AlsoWhen I got to level 200 I got to the Leonardo that upgrades to a super Leonardo I have tried to beat him now for three weeks straight with zero success. This game only wants your money and will not let you progress further until you pay that money it’s easier first becomes very difficultAfter about three month mark be disappointed on anything you can do with this game.

TMNT Mutant Madness Review

I’m a big fan of the Ninja Turtles, and I love this game, but there’s one problem: Some of the special attacks sometimes don’t even come close to hitting the enemies, for example, Raphael’s sai rush seems to now rush away from the enemies the majority of its usage. It barely ever hits the enemies now, making it nearly useless. Other than that, it’s a great game(that could use a little tweaking). I would recommend this to turtles fans, old and new. The game now glitches out, taking me back to the app menu I would recommend fixing it. (Update: There seems to be some bugs in your newest update, I would suggest you fix them, but otherwise it’s a great update.) (Update: I’m having trouble winning Rockin Raph, and I think the Lair Pickup is why. Just let the hero bits be collected automatically, like they used to be, everything else I’m fine with, so yeah, that’s the only problem.)

OOZING SOOO MUCH POTENTIAL!!

Lemme start by saying I absolutely love the fact that someone made a TMNT game & didn’t use the “new age” design for them & instead used the OG classic design that all of us that were born in mid to late 80’s grew up watching & playing with the toys! Now being older I’m still a TMNT fan & collector so this game was a must download for me when I found it today! I didn’t even know it existed until it randomly popped up on my App Store but I’m glad it did! I think there’s a TON OF AWESOME POTENTIAL HERE! I’m not a big fan of “IDLE” games & I think if it were more like a team v team scenario where u actually got to control your team & not just hit an icon for a special when it happens it would take this game to bigger heights! Hopefully that will be added. Regardless I hope this game doesn’t wind up like “TMNT HEROES” where the developers just forget it & never update it anymore. Especially since I poured entirely too much cash into TMNT Heroes & now it’s boring bc there’s no new content or characters. Hopefully Kongregate does better & if it’s anything like Animation Throwdown then it’ll definitely be a ton of fun!

The nostalgia factor is great, but...

Like many “idle” games, you quickly cap out anything and everything there is to do in a matter of minutes. At a certain point each day (or worse, each week at some point knowing these games) you will hit a wall where there’s nothing to do but wait until you’ve collected enough XP (ooze, in this case) to level up heroes enough to continue for another 5 minutes worth of battles until you hit the next wall. The character designs are great, the classic TMNT feel is excellent, and the graphics are polished well enough. The abilities are cool, and fit the characters personalities, giving the animations a nice flair. The upgrade system and items are not explained well, and they’re kinda meh. The ability to go backwards and replay older battles as a way to grind out some basic resources would easily add another star, and the option to customize or level up items would add depth and possibly a fifth star. As it stands this is a three star game on nostalgia alone.

Support the game

I don’t usually write reviews. I made an exception in this case because the Ninja Turtles were always my favorites. To everyone complaining about hitting a wall. What did you expect it’s an idle game not an RPG. If you are dumping money into the game expecting to max everything out right away and beat it why bother playing? I play daily and have no issues. I collect my idle stuff, do a couple levels, level up my team a bit, then go on with my day. I’ve spent 0 dollars on this game and likely won’t unless it’s to get a super rare character. To the developers: I love the game keep working on it. Keep updating. My only issue (hence 4 stars instead of 5) is that the game does a reset and I have to go through the tutorial again and login/relaunch my game a few times in order for it to get my progress back. It’s annoying, but not game breaking. Give this game some time and it will be even more amazing.

Fun game with lots of glitches

I’ve been playing this game for almost 2 years and have had lots of fun during the entire time. There have been several bugs, and the dev team has acknowledged these by giving in-game rewards as an apology. The most recent glitch that is causing this review to be 3 stars is the hero drive contents. Supposedly each drive has an equal chance of getting each hero. But in the last few weeks, I keep getting the same hero 5-10 times in a row. Mathematically this is astronomically low. But I still got like 7 Mikey’s in a row from 2 star drive, and for 3 AND 4 star drives I’ve gotten like 7 Genghis in a row. Whatever algorithm is determining which hero we get is totally busted. If I open 7 hero drives I should realistically expect 5 different heroes and maybe 1-2 repeats. Not the same hero EVERY time. I almost don’t want to open any more hero drives. Yesterday, my 2 star drive contents went from all Mikey to all Baxter. There is no variance or diversity. Please fix this!! Otherwise this is easily a 4.5 star game
