The Week is great! The app is less so…

This is not a critique on the magazine at all. I love the magazine and was thrilled when I saw there was a mobile option. The problem, however, is that app is not the most user friendly. The app is really glitchy and crashes often. The app also doesn’t refresh by itself, so you have to constantly quit out of the app to get new daily articles. Finally, there are just a few other small glitches, like being unable to scroll sometimes, that get me a tad frustrated. I’d suggest investing a little bit into some UX/UI.

recent survey

You recently sent a reader survey that appeared to be steering me to supporting a subscription fee increase and other changes. Three comments:1. Please just ask directly if a fee increase is ok with me or not.2. If you’re going to upgrade the content and charge more, then tell me the changes you’re considering and allow me to say whether they have extra value or not.3. The survey was too long and it crashed near the end. I’m not sure whether you received my response or not?

Love The Week, but disappointed

I look forward every week to the arrival of The Week. I find articles informative, interesting and concise. I have subscribed for many years. I am really disappointed in how very very expensive a subscription has become. My husband and I use to gift subscriptions to family and friends, but WAY out price range now. Having second thoughts about our yearly subscription too

The Week Has Followed all Other Media Off s Cliff

The Week used to be a fantastic publication. It was actually well balanced. Ever since a certain election in 2016 though, the Week began a steep nose dive where they followed other news outlets on a hard bank to the left. Now it is literally just another talking head for the all woke, no joke media. Obviously, they are going to remind people of other publications since it is literally a synopsis of other publications. However, leftist sources are now quoted seemingly four times for every one moderate or conservative publication. Sadly, I just said goodbye to my subscription after twelve mostly good years as a reader (well probably only eight of those years were good). Maybe if they ever grow a pair and stop throwing up their hands to the woke digital lynch mob I will consider resubscribing. Unfortunately, the more likely outcome is that I will be called a bigot because I don’t want to read their propaganda anymore. Either way, I’m not subscribing to crap that claims to be balanced and instead rams a partisan line down my throat.

Best magazine ever!

This is the only news magazine, or magazine of any kind, I make the time to read from cover to cover. It’s interesting to read what columnists over the world are writing about. I especially like the mostly non-partisan slant The Week attempts, even though our president probably considers it Fake News as well. I can’t imagine not being a subscriber and I try to gift the free subscription to a different person every year - they all love reading it! Great job!

An Excellent Magazine!

In my hands, or online, The Week Magazine gives a great look at both sides of major issues. Information from around the world provides a rare insight to what people from other countries see and feel about major topics that we all need to deal with. There’s also always some good laughs in special sections. For sure, one of my most favorite magazines, and websites, on the market!

The Week is the greatest! Service not as much.

I've been reading The Week in both print and digital form for years. I enjoy the mix of news and other features. When it first went to digital, it was a bit buggy and it would occasionally shut down and need a reboot. For a long time now, however, using an iPad, when opening the app to read the daily update, the current day isn’t available. You need to either shut down and reboot the device, or delete and reinstall the app (which deletes your customer info). This happens at least two or more times a week. It is completely unacceptable. It happens to no other app I’ve ever used. Yes, the magazine is one of the best for fairly balanced news reporting, but it needs to work all the time to be truly great.

Excellent Evolution of a Great Magazine

Really enjoyed the background and description of the birth of each issue in the “20 Years of History and the Evolution of the Week.” Gives an appreciation for all that goes into the informative content of this publication. Cheers to all the writers and those very talented Cover artists. I look forward to finding all the nuances in each cover. It was good to hear about the people behind this great magazine that we look forward to reading every week. Keep up the good work!

Spotty at best

I subscribe to both the print and digital The Week, and depend on the latter because (a) I live in a remote area and my print copy doesn’t arrive til Monday many weeks, and (b) I am out of town or country about three months out of the year. The old app had its problems, but this one is fraught with mishaps. It won’t recognize my subscription. Or it won’t download. Or the covers download and nothing else. It won’t hold my sign-in info. The photos won’t open. The text size keeps reverting. It used to be I could email Customer Service and they would respond quickly with a fix. Now, that doesn’t even happen. Email I sent them a week ago has never been answered. I love The Week but if the app does not improve, it will be the reason I cancel.
