I LOVE THE PILATES CLASS

I have always been the type of person who would push myself too hard with intense workouts and burn out (and I refused to workout at home). I discovered The Pilates Class at the beginning of the pandemic and boy am I glad I did. I am OBSESSED with Jaqui’s classes - I literally do her workouts 5 days a week (something I have never done before). I love that the sessions are 30 minutes, yet soooo effective. I also love how she slowly moves through each exercise so you can really feel the burn. I swear my body changed completely and I feel more tone than ever (the best part is unless I am taking the INTENSE classes, I don’t really sweat either, so I can literally take the classes anytime and anywhere (even right before going out with my makeup on, etc.) I know this review sounds insane, but that’s because I am that in love with Jacqui and The Pilates Class. YOU WON’T REGRET IT.

Life changing!

After boxing gyms closed at the beginning of the pandemic, I didn’t think I’d ever find anything that I could love as much as fighting or that would give me the same mental high as teaching, training, and sparring every day did. Jacqui and The Pilates Class completely changed that. While boxing will always be my greatest love, after nearly a year of being part of this community I know I’ll never let it go. Now I just have two loves in my life! And since being able to get back to boxing, I see now that having Pilates as a part of my every day routine has only added to my endurance, speed, and technicality, as well as been an incalculable boon to my mental health. Thank you Jacqui, thank you TPC. I don’t ever want to think of who I would be today if I hadn’t found this community last summer.

The Best & Most Practical Home Workout with Results!

The Pilates Class offers great workouts in many different forms including stretches, technique, meditation classes and more. Jacqui is so on top of constantly uploading more content, changing things up and pushing you to your hardest without it becoming so difficult that it demotivates you. I see results each time. Now about it being practical which is super important to me... I don’t particularly enjoy working out so the fact that it has a) straight forward body weight exercises that can be done in even the tightest spaces of your home, b) in a 20-40 min time frame in which you get your energy up, feel stronger, and c) see results so quickly is what makes this a game changer in comparison to other workout apps. At this point, I am a true follower of Jacqui and cannot wait to see how she expands and grows! Highly recommend! 🤍

Great content, not so great interface

The content and classes are top of the class.Jacqui’s classes are well worth signing up. The workouts are targeted and effective, while also being technique driven.The platform is really the only slight downside to accessing her content. The weekly schedule emails are great (especially if you like a bit of structure) but when you click on the daily workout it takes you straight to the web platform instead of the app. It’s more inconvenient then anything , but that weighs in on the user experience.The emails are also inconsistent, meaning they don’t get sent Sunday evening or early Monday morning. Perhaps because of the time zone difference, but there should be a way to control for that. And not everyone is on social media to view the weekly schedule, but perhaps that’s a small enough minority to for the app builders to ignore.I’m hoping this feedback will help enhance some of the app features. But even with the poor app/web platform experience, I stay because Jacqui is that good! The body transformation is real and the community is cool. Thank you for this Pilates class!

Something for everyone!

I have had the app for the last few months and I love that she has something for everyone. Barre, Pilates, 10-45 min classes, calming, stress relief, meditation, modifications etc.. As someone in her 50’s I prefer to be gentle to my body when doing fitness, gently brutal LOL as sometimes my legs are shaking walking down the stairs after a barre class! I saw progress after just a couple weeks, my feet can go flat in downward dog, to some not a big deal, but to me it was! But my number one favorite thing is Jacqui. She has a meditative voice and exudes kindness. I don’t get sick of hearing her, and oddly when I am thinking something in class like WOW I am really shaking, she says: you should be shaking! The online community during the challenge was so motivational, no matter where you are in the world. The price for the year is so little for gaining health and wellness, I have been consistent for 3 months now! I look forward to my mat time and the future challenges with the TPC group :)

The PERFECT Pilates Class!

I can’t stress enough how much I love The Pilates Class. I’ve been taking pilates classes regularly since 2011. When COVID hit, I longed for my regular classes at the studio, until I found The Pilates Class. It really came along at the perfect time. Having just completed The Pilates Class October Challenge, I’m feeling great, and it helped my mind, body, and soul in every way. The program is challenging enough to the point where you feel strong afterwards, but not so challenging that you dread doing it. I look forward to my classes everyday. Jacqui is a great teacher who exudes positive energy, and makes you feel like you’re part of a community, therefore, inspiring you to keep at it day after day. I highly recommend The Pilates Class to people of all fitness levels, you won’t be disappointed! Thank you, Jacqui, for creating such a wonderful program!

Best workout in lockdown

Discovered TPC from Devin Brugman’s insta posts and so glad I gave it a try! After months of trying to keep up with high intensity workouts from home I was bored and burnt out and just not in the mood for fitness. This led to more take-out, tv binges and lack of motivation. Then I tried TPC for the October challenge, and it was like a breath of fresh air. Same satisfaction from really having worked that I used to get from HIIT but was left with more energy and felt like I was being kinder to myself. Jacqui’s guidance and Aussie accent are so soothing, and the classes are no nonsense - you work out efficiently and - crucial for me in a Pilates class - I never find myself looking at the clock waiting for the minutes to tick by. Class flies by and I’m left so refreshed. It’s gotten me back on track with working out and I can’t wait to continue!

You need this in your life!! ❤️

For starters, I came across The Pilates Class on Instagram and I’ve been hooked. To be honest, I’m not someone who works out on the regular and every year that was definitely one of my resolutions. Then I came across The Pilates Class app and it was so convenient. It felt like I had a workout buddy at all times. I’m a new mom and my body has gone through so many changes and the postnatal classes have really helped build up my strength and confidence. After having a year with so many highs and lows and a lot of uncertainty, it’s really comforting to be doing something just for me! It’s something I look forward to and each day and the app just makes it even more convenient. I have the annual membership and when you divide that, each month is less than Netflix. Now which gym can say that?

Cant recommend enough!

I’ve never fallen in love with a workout program like I have with this one. There’s SO many classes to choose from, from chill and meditation/stretching, to more intense strength work and HIIT options. So there’s literally something for everyone and every body type, whether you’re a beginner or already extremely active. Jacqui is encouraging, while staying calm and positive. She gets you into a trance where you just want to push yourself to be the best and get the most out of your exercise, while always reminding you to listen to your body and take it easy when you need to. I just could listen to her all day long! I’ve been doing classes for 8 months, anywhere from 2 to 5 classes a week, and I’m down 22 pounds, and honestly have so much more confidence in my body and what it can do. You will not regret trying the Pilates class!

If you’re looking to try Pilates for the first time...

This is a great platform for an “intro to Pilates”. The app works seamlessly and content is added/updated regularly. Only main critique is that I wish some newer UX features would be adopted, otherwise it’s still an ok app to navigate around in.Jacqui explains and talks through each video very thoroughly. Even as a beginner myself I can follow and based on her commentary can feel to make sure my movements are being done correctly. In 2020 with gyms being shut down my in town, and doing on and off HIIT programs, this provided a great alternative to ease myself into working out on a daily basis again. If you sign up for TPC’s newsletters or follow their social media they will provide a weekly schedule(s) of videos you can plan and do for that week. Lastly it’s $139 for an annual membership. That’s a pretty good deal in comparison to a gym membership or other work out apps. Plus the fact that new videos are uploaded semi regularly feels like I’m getting the most for my money. I feel more energized and more flexible since I’ve started the classes. It’s a good transition back into working out. The classes are challenging but not too bad that I dread doing them. If you’re hesitant in starting I would look at their weekly schedules they put out, sign up for the 7 day free trial and go from there.
