This is a terrible grammar game. It seems to purposely give the wrong answer as correct. For example, what is the plural form of the word box. The correct answer is boxes. It selected boxs. I went through several different questions & as I said it seemed to purposely select the incorrect answer. DO NOT use this game to help you with your grammar. You will look like an imbecile. It is a shame because the structure it uses is great…giving simple sentences where you choose the correct word to use. However, if it doesn’t know the correct word, that doesn’t help the one playing. I suggest finding another game.
Illiterate app
DO NOT BUY!!! 8 out of ten answers they say are right are actually wrong. One of the sentences was “stop ___ the park…” The choices for the answer were “Buy… By… and Bye” they said the correct answer was “Buy”. What?! I hope people trying to learn english don’t count on this app to do it!! Unbelievable!!! This app needs to be removed from the app store, it’s a joke!! The developer obviously doesn’t know even basic 2nd grade grammar.
This Game Deserves To Be Banned
NOTE: DON’T DOWNLOAD Whether this game is for jokes or not, this isn’t something to actually make a joke about. I intended to search for a game that had spelling correctly, not to say incorrect answers such as “boxs” over “boxes” is correct. This game can be harmful to those who spell, type, or write because it can lead people to believe incorrect words are correct. Sure people who speak English will know that these are incorrect, but for those learning English, this poses a risk to their learning. Absolutely awful and should be taken down so people don’t start getting confused.
If I could I would give it a negative rating
Right out of the gate! Level #1, word #1; The correct plural form of the word box is:boxis boxs boxesI correctly chose boxes, several times only to be reprimanded and told I was wrong 😲Well then I thought maybe it’s one of those crazy, tricky words like sheep/sheep which are the same or others which are completely different words such as person/people and child/children but no I found this spelling and grammar information online that relieved me of the thought that I may be losing the things I learned in school. The only reason I have not deleted it yet is because I want to see how often they wrongly call people out even though they have the right answer. Rest assured, even if it only happens once more I will be on here giving an even lower rating than this one 😐
Incorrect, misleading information
I’m not sure of the origin of this app, but the information is incorrect. As a native English speaker (and English being my best subject), I can honestly say the nature of this game is misleading. It will provide those who are trying to learn English with inaccurate information. The plural for box is not “boxs” but rather “boxes”. However, the correct answer on the game is “boxs”. This is false and should not be used for educational purposes. I would NOT recommend this app to anyone.
This a disservice for people learning English
This got to be a joke, and if it is, it’s not funny. This is a disservice for anyone learning English or learning to correct their grammar. I had a statement where I should put the correct grammar and spelling and when I put the correct word, it was incorrect according to this. The statement was, you should come by the park later. It said by was wrong and buy is correct. Are you kidding me. I’m assuming whoever created this doesn’t speak English.
Do Not Get This APP!!!!!
I thought I was bugging because boxs over boxes was correct. Then you can come “buy” the park not “by”. This game is a joke. I hope it’s not some kind of scam because there is no way anyone created a game and believe these answers are correct. But in today’s world people will do anything for money. So I’m a guess it’s all about purchasing the coins because you got the correct answer wrong and you have no more plays left. What is the world coming to😔
Never correct
I never write reviews but as a teacher, I am HORRIFIED by this game!! 😡 I am usually very good with grammar and spelling-was raised my English majors-and I lost all five of my lives on the first two questions!!! The plural of box is BOXES!! (It tells you “boxs” is correct!!!) The second question is “by the park” It is also wrong! It wants you to put buy as correct! Please don’t let your children use this app as grammar practice!!!! Please take it off the App Store before it affects someone’s incorrect learning!!! 😩
Sorry creators but this is bad
I don’t want to be mean or hurt anyone’s feelings but this game needs to go. I got this app and I was looking through the reviews as I normally do when I get an app and first off I looked at every rating and all of them are one star, them I saw one review that said that for people who are learning English they are getting tricked which I agree with, and then I got on the app and right off level one was already wrong it said boxes was wrong and boxs was right so I am deleting this app now
The App DOESN’T know GRAMMAR!
I enjoy grammar and reading someone use the wrong verbiage is like nails on a chalkboard. I thought it would be fun to test my knowledge. It’s hard to use an application that has no clue of grammar! The first question was the plural of box, which is BOXES. I selected the word and told I was wrong and a point was subtracted. When I selected BOXS (wrong answer) it said I was correct. This is a sad joke. I thought I’d try again and went to the next phrase. Come —- the park later. The correct answer is BY. Once again, my answer was marked incorrect. It’s going to harm someone who’s really trying to learn. Back to the drawing board developers. If I could have given minus points to you I would have. A 1 is overly generous.
