Crashes...BUT ❤️

Edit: 18Sep: I really love this app, the creators, and the developers. If there is ever an issue, they communicate with you and work extremely hard to get it fixed. Considering they’re not native English speakers, the stories are pretty good. I would like to keep playing, but it freezes when you try to make a purchase and then it crashes. Once you try to open it back up, your purchases aren’t updated even though you’ve been charged.Edit: My purchase issue was fixed within minutes of contacting them. I’m so happy, because now I get to keep playing. Yes, the English translations are a bit rough, but it doesn’t ruin the story for me. I understand what’s meant and I trust it will improve over time. Also, I see others pointing out their concerns over “racist” material. I don’t believe it’s intended to be racist, or stereotypical. Hopefully, as the translations are cleaned up, it will help clear up any concerns about malice.

Captain Apocalypse breaks the game

Twice now I’ve made it to the same chapter in Captain Apocalypse (around 7/12 I believe, the chapter after you learn [spoiler] some of Sfeno’s men are sneaking into the Renaissance base to probably kill Hank), and both times now the game softlockes itself. It goes to the loading screen and says “loading resources 100%” but never loads, even after waiting like ten minutes, nothing changes. This is an amazing game, five stars, but until this bug is fixed I can’t give it over one star. I’ve lost like 20 bucks, my new account was supposed to be getting refunded the gems and tickets from my previous purchases, but it doesn’t matter now that I can’t play the game. This matter needs to be fixed or the game needs to be taken off until it is fixed. A simple fix could just be instead of launching the game directly into the last played story, to instead launch it into the story select menu.

THANK YOU MAKE MORE STORIES

THANK YOU FOR THIS AMAZING GAME BUT PLEASE ADD MORE EPISODES TO THE NINJA BOOK. And if you can do a high school series like pixelberry but better and keep the after school activities like football cheer band and all that it would be nice. Basically I’m saying if you make a high school game make it also go into a college series. Believe me if you do stuff like this and make all STORIES MALE and female gender wise for us it would be better than every book game app because all of them are females and it’s annoying how they think only females read and would play these type of games so please consider

One minor thing, otherwise perfect interactive story app

So far, the stories are great. I do wish I was told beforehand that when you use the perception “eye” tickets, it doesn’t subtract the cost from your total. I could’ve saved 10 diamonds. But it doesn’t matter because it’s awesome that there are two methods to get the premium choice(s). The story that is introduced when you first download the app actually gave me chills. It was probably the combination of playing in the middle of the night and the tense soundtracks with the slightly creepy appearances of the “other” characters (I won’t reveal what they are. If you’re curious play the game.). Though, it would be nice if there was a tutorial explaining or at least mentioning the icons available during the stories (the perception thing vs. the diamonds method, the icon at the top right in the introductory story). Anyways, I very much liked this interactive story app. So much so, that I’ll give it a 5 star review. Thanks for making the game!

Great

Finally something for guys, this is awesome! It has good animation, it’s not over-dramatic and it doesn’t push gem-spending. Also you get tickets and gems daily so you don’t have to wait. Unlike other games like this it only has around an hour and 30 minutes of waiting for a ticket. The stories are well thought up (even if the spelling is sometimes wrong) and it actually show’s the stories that you see in the photo roll. Also it gives you a choice to re-start from the beginning if you suddenly die (yes, you can die!) for a ticket or start from a checkpoint for 6 gems. The only down factor and the reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that it doesn’t have more customizations like you can have 3 hairstyles and nothing else. And 3 ethnicities! But anyhow it’s a great game and if you like these types of games without the animation being cringe and the dumb ads then get this, you’ll really like it. You can choose romance or just go friendzone, also you have a karma meter. For example in westward bound you have a sheriff’s star (good karma) and a buffalo skull (bad karma) for example if you have very good karma you can do a special action which changes the story. That’s all I can share but so far this is a great game! Edit: Also I’d like the game to ask you if you’re sure about your choice and to show what the previous character said if you need to make a story impacting decision

Disappointed!!

This was one of the best apps out there. The stores were good, the content was fun and it was rather easy to play. There was a calendar reward system. Simply log in and claim diamonds or passes in sufficient amounts that you could play for free. There was also an option to watch a few videos per day for additional diamonds which I did every day to support the app. Then yesterday the developer made a change to remove the calendar rewards and go subscription only. The last story I played used around 450 diamonds to play. In the past you could get that many in two months of rewards. Now it will cost you $36. Too bad the developers change that much because I really enjoyed it. Time to find a new one.

Unfinished!!!

How can a game about reading stories be unreadable? By having massive grammatical and syntax errors......in the first chapter......of the first book! I’ve played Choices and Episode (far prefer Choices for the quality of the writing, btw), and both of those games far exceed this one!! Episode has some weird animations and some grammatical errors, but you can tell what’s happening and what each character is saying. Choices has almost no errors like that. This game? It was clearly written in a different language and then translated.....badly....into English. It was so bad that I couldn’t even tell what characters were really trying to say, and I have known people who barely know English my whole life! I can communicate with them just fine, but this game had me mystified and frustrated. It’s too bad too because the opening of the first story was cool. Although I will say the format of the stories is a direct rip-off of Choices!

The Best

I really adore this story app. The storylines are very well thought out and engaging. I love the option to pick your gender in the few stories that allow it. And I really love the option to have your character be bi. The Curse of Sullenwood and Stuck Souls are my absolute favorite stories, I could not pry my eyes away. I wish they were books we could buy. I love the art of the characters, the women we can choose from are beautiful and I like the diversity. I like the option to earn free tickets and diamonds daily, just by checking in.My only issue is I keep buying diamonds saying it’ll give me 30, but it continuously gives me 20. Sometimes less. I usually don’t spend money on apps but I feel like this one deserves it because I really appreciate the art, the awesome, detailed storylines, and the overall hard work that goes into it.

Finally

To all the gals complaining about not being able to play as a female, I would suggest you go play episode instead. You now all know how we guys feel when we are made to only have the option of female characters. To the devs kudos to you all for taking the risk and letting us play as males. I would love to see this app become a male version of episode. Please continue to develop stories with guys in mind. As for female characters please don’t make them all single tracked it makes the story really dull. Every character seems to have one gimmick and that’s it. This makes the characters one dimensional and not interesting. Though I have to say at times that is the best option as resorting to one dimensional characters makes it easier to decide who to chase after. But the most frustrating thing is not the characters but the game system itself. I know you need money but please don’t tempt us at ever twist and turn that’s just plain annoying and makes me want to stop playing instead of thinking I want to shell out a few dollars. Thanks and keep up the good work!

Game won’t boot up

This is a great game. So far I’m loving it. But I’m having a problem and won’t let me go into it. Like I tried exiting out of the game and force quitting it, when I go back it it shows the mega loot then Stories your choice loading screen, and it goes to the Loading resources and shows 100% and it stays there the entire time. I stayed on it like about 25 minutes and won’t change. I deleted the app twice and same thing happens. Goes back to Captain Apocalypes then loads slow and goes to the 100% and won’t load it. And nothing seems to be working. And I don’t understand what I can do my end to fix it. Overall love playing this game but can’t continue to play as you see..
