It is good app, it is free app - and better than most
I sampled some free sketch apps, and paid for a couple.Boy Oh Boy, this app has straight forward and uncomplicated UX, and produces images that are on par with, and in some cases, even better than the pay for apps, and certainly better than any other free app.I can recommend this app without any reservations. Try it, you’ll like it.
Excellent Sketch+ app!
Purchased full version and very pleased with the selection of sketch varieties and options available. Especially like the "Dither" format. It turns many photos into very vintage-looking artwork. With so many choices, you are sure to find something you like; be sure to experiment with various photos, as some turn out better than others. Highly recommend STD Photo Sketch!
It’s Good For What It Is
I can get some use out of this app so I went for the full version. It’s quick and it lets you play around with enough stuff to make sure you understand it. At that point, I knew I’d use it for a pic or three and it was worth the small price I paid. Not ground breaking, but sufficient for what I needed at that moment. Thanks for putting it out there.
Looking good
I'm enjoying it so far. In my opinion, the creators of the app could wait until one has played around with the different features, before asking for a rating. I looked at 3 different options before being asked to give a rating to use the other functions. This is all I can say about it. As I haven't had a chance to even make a sketch.
Free done right
I have always been a fan of free apps, because well, they’re free. A lot of them are deleted minutes after I first downloaded them though because of all the paywalls and paid features. It gets to the point where an app is like Netflix; where the only way you CAN use it is by paying for it. And that’s totally fine if the app is worth the money.This app is “free done right”, where a decent amount of the features are actually free, and there are about 60% more that you can pay for. I love this. It balances a premium app and a free one perfectly. I rarely write reviews for apps, but this one was an instance where I couldn’t help myself *not* write a review.If the developer reads this: thanks for making an awesome piece of software. I love your premium model and I think it’s a perfect example of what a free app SHOULD be.11/10 :)
Very nice effects
This app does an amazing job transforming photos to look like it has been sketched. Many effects have different appeals for each photo. Only con is to unlock some of the effects you have to write a review and use in app purchases. Personally I would rather just pay a small fee for the app and have all the features unlocked from the start.
Too many questions
I have too many questions to give this app an honest rating. It would be helpful to have a tutorial attached to the app. I poked around and finally figured out how to change the color of the font. At first, I changed the box color which was NOT what I wanted to do. The two photos I chose washed out. Do I not have any control to darken or lighten the “sketch” or alter the contrast and exposure? My results appear flat and do not match the sample result. I will play with it a little more after this review unlocks a few more features but I am not very confident this is the right app for me.
Asks me to write a review to unlock features
Well, I was trying out my first photo in this app and after ten seconds, this app is asking me to review it in order to unlock more features. Honestly, I can’t give an honest, fair review if I’ve only been on this app for a few seconds. Hmm... not too thrilled so far.
Great app
I usually do not take the time to rate apps, but did this one to unlock the other sketches. I did check out all the options they give you to change or edit your photo and they have more options than most of them and the pictures seem to have a way better result with this app than with others that I've downloaded. So far this app seems to be great!
Pretty nice, one issue
Overall this app is really great and it makes The filters look like actual drawings in each streak of the ‘pencil’. It just asked you to asked to review it way too many times, and there’s a significant amount of adds I guess you would expect this from a cheep app, but the product is overall pretty good there’s a lot of questions asking if you can rate it.
