Massive failure

I do not mind paying the $2.99 a year for the subscription, hell I pay more for coffee in a day. However I refuse to do so because of the way this developer went about the sneaky “update” which wiped the old app and forces you to pay the $2.99. I thought maybe if I restored purchases maybe I would receive my old apps free for a year, nope. Developer should have advised existing customers of what the new update would do to the app. I understand that updates aren’t free and take time but the way the update was done was sketchy. I will just go with google which is free.

Underhanded and Deceptive

OK, I get it. It’s expensive to keep the statutes current, and to keep the app up to date as operating systems update. Sure, an annual subscription makes more sense in that context than a one-time purchase. The loser move was forcibly wiping the old app as part of an “update” with zero warning. You could have posted a notice or an annoying pop-up telling us it was no longer supported, and to switch over to the new app before an OS update renders the old app completely useless, and then just let it die in due course. But now it’s forced, and on top of that your users have to rebuild their favorites from scratch without being able to refer back to the old data. One terrible decision lost you a lot of goodwill earned from an otherwise excellent service.

Cheep price to pay for such a useful app

Get a grip guys. This guy just saved you from having to page through that bible of a book shoved in the back of your car to find the section that you never use and cant for the life of you remember. Worth the money, keep up the good work. Nothing in this world is free.

Very useful and Easy

This app is very cheap and helpful for law enforcement. Instead of searching the statue in a book or asking others, it is on the tip of your fingers and easy to find. I could not find an easier app for Title 39 and use it as a learning guide as well. Def recommend for others.

Highly recommend

A lot of reviews people are complaining about the cost, but it’s 100% worth it. Not to mention the developer is constantly making changes for the better and thats not free lol this app is super conveniant and has been nothing short of fantastic. The developer is quick to resolve any issues and the customer service is great.

Poor execution.

Developer gets mad that people are calling it a scam, but here’s the problem. If you had paid for the old application you would receive push updates. The last push update nerfed the app after you updated with no warning, giving you the only option of downloading a new app and paying. No way to restore purchase of the prior app and charging people yearly, even a discount for the first year would have been nice. I get that it’s a tedious service to update everything multiple times a year, but the way this was executed, even if necessary, was in poor taste. I hope the developer is taking heat from his PBA.

Very useful and frequently used app

I agree that the latest “update” that wiped the app and informed us that we had to upgrade to the new up was a little sneaky. But, that being said, the app was very inexpensive to begin with and always had free updates and i use the app all time, so I definitely got my money’s worth. Now, the app is ONLY $2.99 per year for each title. You can’t beat that at all, considering what the titles cost in book form. This is a very useful app for me and I think the price is well below what it could be.

Love the new update

Great app. For people complaining about the cost, it’s $0.25 a month. You’re telling me these people leaving bad reviews can’t afford that? I’d rather pay to have quick access than look up the info in a book or online. Last I checked, you have to also pay for updates when you purchase the book for new content. So this is an easier and cheaper alternative. Extremely thankful that an app like this exists. New update has a clean and organized look. 👍🏼

Absolutely Essential

This app is absolutely essential for officers who need quick and reliable information on the fly. $2.99/year is the price of a single coffee. That is an extremely small price for such a great application. At the end of the day the owner needs to be able to keep his product on the market at a sustainable price. Ignore the complainers who are upset about the way online market works nowadays. Don’t get upset with the owner, get upset with the system that forces owners to make these difficult decisions.

Hugely Disappointed

Completely disappointed that after purchasing the previous apps (PA Title 18 and PA Title 75) the new App FORCES you into an annual subscription without even providing you with what you have previously paid for. It doesn’t even allow you to keep the old app with the old information. This new business motto is nothing but a scam to us, end-user customers. Adding 1-2 statutes and maybe editing 1-2 statutes every year should not warrant 1000s of dollars of subscriptions.Even the advanced apps and big title video games don’t cost this much on iOS. I surely will not subscribe and will not promote this type of selfish, greedy behavior for an app that simply provides text information from the vehicle and crimes codes. If it was possible to give 0/5 stars, I would. Unfortunately the ranking system feels that every app should deserve at least 20%.
