Near perfect, but there are issues
It’s an amazing game, great for when I just want to fly around as a 2D spaceship and blow up chunks of planets, but there are things that I wish would be added in and fixed. For example, the lack of ships is disappointing. There are more than four factions, and the fact that I don’t have the option to spawn in ships for all of them is kind of upsetting. Another thing is the bugs. If I select something in a menu and an ad pops up, it messes up the screen and it keeps the menu that was present before the ad, well, present, but there’s no way to actually close the menu or even do anything on it. The only way I can close it is to close the app and re-open it, and then there’s the bug that makes the left control stick just disappear after an ad. I don’t want to have to pay for no ads, and that’s not just because I can’t, but the only option I see is fixing the bugs as best you can. Also, at least let me spawn in those teleporter things too. They keep getting destroyed and it annoys me that I can’t replace them. However, I commend you for creating such an amazing game, and I can personally tell you that the hard work and all the effort you put into making this game has really paid off. Love the game, but a few things I would like to see
The game is amazing, and unique. It’s so different from the original, but there’s a few things I want from the original. Starting with monsters, I’d like to see the dragon monster, space Kraken, and possibly something new. Some new monsters could bring plenty new possibilities for destruction. Secondly, some laser like weapons, such as: the laser, ice laser, blaster bolt, laser mini gun, and maybe the light saber. And for the other weapons I would like to see: the moon. That’s it for weapons, now other things that could really improve the game: system smash 2D, achievements, secret planets, and more regular planets. This is a lot, but I would like to see this stuff in future updates and more.
Absolutely amazing
This game is awesome, I would love to see the future updates, the thing I love most is making space battles it would be great to see more types of ships and I would like to see the big ship be spawnable and there should be more big ships like it that you can spawn, you should also add fighter carriers that release smaller ships, there should also be a feature where if a big ship is about to explode it releases escape pods first, there should be an option to select the type of ship that goes into battle for example every team should have different ships and you select what ships fight,there should also be more custom map tools and things to add to maps, another thing that you should add is more maps some for specifically doing space battles and others for blowing up, but what I would like the most is bigger and better explosions, as a person who likes action movies that have big explosions it would be awesome to have better ones, another thing I would like is more space monsters to that you can battle and also control but if you do add this add the teaming idea I had, but I like how the game is right now it is just fine and maybe you should add some of the stuff in this game to solar smash.
Good but not enough
When I first download the game I thought it was gonna be really cool but when I played it it was kind of cool like I get to summon wars of battle and I like it how I can destroy like three planets only three but like why can’t you just add more planets like the solar system like the other planet solar smash no need to be a hater but like I think solar smash is a little bit better than this but at least you did a great job on it I like how it battles with the other creatures like the star and the bird and the demon it really is kind of good last thing what I really like about it is that it has like a lot of details in like circles around it with it actually kind of makes like the details of the planets does but you could’ve done like a little bit better though like maybe adding the sun or like adding more planets with it just like not really like the solar system we only get like destroy one planet and I don’t know and there’s like less weapons that destroy immediately that’s all I have to say great game though but not enough
I like this update, except…
I really like the update, but there are certain things i don’t really like, including: custom planet bugs, sometimes ships like to spaz out, no way to see how close factions are to being hostile with each other, existing player ships try to go into portal, you can’t adjust which factions can spawn from portals, g e m s , shadow cloak is extremely overrated, battleships aren’t really fair boss fights (unless they’re not supposed to be,) no player battleships, followers of undun battleships cost 250 gems to spawn even though it can destroy a death star, laser cannon is kinda cheap even though it can absolutely shred any shield, no access to Hive, Remnant, Guardian, Maudurer, or Follower ships for a player ship, you aren’t allowed to spawn banished, or maudurer ships, and there are so many other minor/kinda major issues I have with this game, but I don’t really wanna fit them all into one review, also I know (hope) this game is under development, and i can’t wait to see what the future updates will bring. Overall, I really do think that the update is really good and i hope we get more content in the future,anyway, this game has a lot of potential and I’m looking forward to seeing how it will be used.
Good, but..
I know this is new, but it came out two weeks ago and the most new content we have gotten is to play already in game ships. Not gonna go crazy on there because games are hard to make I just hope an update is soon. ANYWAYS, is there any way to add in a ability to spawn the massive boss ship? Would be cool for.. Role play? I don’t know the word. But also it would be cool to have settings to change ‘factions’ letting certain groups of ai be chill even if they are different ships and avoid each other and fight other ships. Also, if we are going to have something like that, we need more ship. Right now excluding the laser because it’s more of a weapon, we have 3 teams you can spawn, Star skull and eagle icons. It would just be cool to have more, also I noticed the teleport portals can spawn in globe-symbol ships with a green color, if they are already made why can’t we have them?
Good job this is one sequel I won’t forget
Wow you you made a awesome sequel to solar smash 💥 ANDS ITS SUPER GOOD the only reason it’s not 5 star is because it’s not perfect (yet) I love the addition of the space battles the way the health bars are done and so much more. I mainly made this response though. I know other people have said this but it would be cool to spawn “the big ship” that would be cool but also I would like you to improve the “the big ship”s controls because you cant edifice when to shoot the missles and you can turn the cannons. Also could you add more different types of ships to each team like one team could have a mother ship that shoots out fighter into battle, or a mine layer ship that lays mines those are my current ideas great game thanks to people that read this
Great Game, So Much Potential
This game is amazing even though it doesn’t have that many features. I love the space ship battles it is an amazing feature that fits the 2d game. I love the physics too such as the broken prices of rock move when colliding with moving objects. The Only things that I request is mostly with the space ships and their weapons and controls. First of all I would love to see more space ships and even different ships on the same team. I would also like if we were able to spawn the unspawnable ships such as the green ship the small blue ship and the battleship. Talking about the battleship I would enjoy if the front turret on the battle ship is steerable rather than needing to turn the entire spacecraft. I would also like to have a separate button to launch a the homing missiles. Enough with the battleship on to the smaller ones, I would love to see multiple weapons on ships much like the ship in the category with the worm. Also the physics needs a little work on such as ships not being able to turn a different direction so quickly and ships taking more damage when colliding. Lastly I wish there to be more maps and player controles weapons like the asteroid. I love this game and hope it would be worked on too and not just solar smash. :)
Amazing Game, but here is some things you should add and change
I love the original. I have been playing it for almost a year now, and it kept on getting better and better. When I heard there was a 2d version of the game, and it isn’t a ripoff(like “solar smash 2”), I just had to try it. I like that you can play as the spaceship from the original and you can play as a boss-level creature, though I don’t like the fact is that when you just run into a spaceship, even on accident, you get a bad reputation for that kind. You also need to add more plants, and the ability to summon and control every type of ship(summon the big one, but can’t play as it). Other than that, I rate it 5.1 stars!!!
Planet Destruction AND Space battles, I’m in!
Having long enjoyed the original, I find this spin off to be as enjoyable, if not more than the last, with planet part physics and different ship factions what could go wrong? But there are some things I would like to see added, first some more ships, it would add more replay ability, second is a rework of the factions, because currently each ship type is in its own faction, what I would like to see is a faction select, I imagine it would be similar to the color changing on the laser from the original game. Even with if my recommendations don’t make it into the game it’s still very fun and enjoyable and I hope to see what new content is in store.
Description
Solar Smash 2D is a spin off from the original Solar Smash by the same developers, this game was designed to allow for different technology to be utilised and allow for unique destruction mechanics. It features the ability to break planets into pieces and each planet will float and move with its own physics, players can control or spawn in spaceships and create huge space battles, or you can draw in your own planet with any design you want.
