I like this app for what it does, though that is not really saying much. It shows a faces pain scale that a patient can touch to indicate their level of pain. But why does it take so long for the app to load. I'm now using a simple screen shot that I have saved in my photos. Seriously, Facebook opens faster.
I use a fancy AAC app (Compass by Dynavox) but sometimes I'm to overwhelmed to find what I want to say. I love these because even on my worst times it's a little easier to communicate. Even if all I want to do is say I'm in pain, and the doctors ask me of that a lot.
SmallTalk Pain Scale provides a library of pictures you can tap that speak out loud. This includes pain descriptions and images from the Wong-Baker Faces Pain Scale, as well as icons representing human anatomy. You can easily rearrange the order of the icons or remove others to make it simpler to focus on your most important messages.
