The Perfect List App!

Exactly what I was looking for. You can create different lists. I just wanted it for grocery shopping. You can prioritize the items in your list and create notes for each item. It also allows you to manage the list alphabetically or by priority and I can't believe this app is free. You can also bold the items for easier viewing and it has check-off boxes. You have nothing to lose.

A Wonderful Little App

I was surprised by the flexibility in this little app. I use it for several things and I can make each list behave differently for the different purposes. I can sort several ways and have different things happen upon "checking" the item in the list. It would be nice to sync to some desktop application so I could use a real keyboard (the iPhone keyboard is nice but no challenge for a real keyboard if one is available). On second thought, the complexity required to do that because of Apple making all the developers come up with some goofy wireless sync method makes syncronizing a bad idea. Hats off to the developers - I'm thankful every time I use it.

Outstanding checklist and to-do app

Like many of the other reviewers, I had tried several other to-do list apps before finding this one. I have been using Errands (done by an excellent developer) but this one, surprisingly, is much better for grocery lists and to-dos. This app is exactly what I was looking for and more. Allows me to create a custom grocery list of all the things I usually buy and I simply uncheck items when I need them which moves them to the top of the list. I then have a checklist of items to take with me to the store. The master list is always there, I just uncheck items when needed and check them when I don't. It even lets me e-mail the list to my wife (or anyone else) right from the app. Works fine as a to-do list also. All this and it's free, too! Very well done. Great job!

Very well done!

I have been trying out a few "to do list" apps, and this is definitely the best - especially for free! A few features I looked for:1. Simplicity & ease of use. Selections can't be too small to tap on with my big fingers, and it has to be pretty fast to add new items.2. Reusability. We have our "tried & true" things we get from certain places (Trader Joe's, Costco, Whole Foods Market), and I would like to quickly reuse an older list. This gives a very good way of doing that, especially with the sort by checked status.3. Organization. The ability to create and name the lists (Trader Joe's, Costco, WFM, etc.) and work with each list separately is great.

Easy, reliable, fast

This is one of my favorite apps. I use it for grocery lists. Instead of deleting an item after I purchase it, I just check the item and it drops to the bottom of my list. When I need to buy it again, I just uncheck it and it appears at the top of the list. I've tried specific grocery and shopping lists and they just take too much time.I haven't tried the paid version yet, but I will someday.

Tried a bunch this is the best!!!

This one works great! I have categories for personal, household and work. This makes it so I can focus on where I am and not worry about work when I am at home and home when I am at work. Because you can make so many different list groups you can separate things all you want. Perfect examples: 1. My wife and I decide to have a yard sale 2 months in advance. Every time I thought of something to put in the yard sale I would add it to the list. This was the first yard sale in 20 years that I didn't come across something a week after the yard sale that I had forgotten to put in it!I have used this app 1,760 times! It tracks that also :)2. I started a list of what we needed to take on vacation 2 weeks before we left and added to it as things popped in to my head. We didn't forget anything! A first do us!Thanks very much for creating one of my most productive apps!

Needs minor adjustment

Thanks for the update! The color scheme doesn’t seem to be compatible with iPhones dark mode though. The first page is white on gray. It would be nice to be able to adjust the font size as well.

LOVE this app.

Would be 5 stars except I hate when an update removes a feature or makes something worse. Put the ad back at the bottom. And please give us back the option for checked items to move down. Don't know why that option got removed. I like seeing my checked items but I like the option of them moving down to the bottom. Otherwise I LOVE this app! Simple to use. Not a bunch of folders and colors like other apps. Love the easy sorting and deleting. Love the options to email or copy list. Love the check boxes.

Perfect for Palm users

Simplist is a great replacement for those of us used to the Palm to-do list. It's very simple and straight forward, has a large notes field for each item, allows simple sorting either alphabetically or by hand, and allows easy category creation and management. Priority and due date fields can be easily turned off, a plus for those of us who don't use those things. The font is set fairly large and can't be changed (probably so that finger input doesn't check off more items than it should) so not as much of the list shows on the screen as one might wish, but flick scrolling works as well here as it does everywhere else so no big deal. But go ahead and buy the pay version (which eliminates the small banner ads at the bottom of the screen) before you get in too deep: the item lists are not transferrable between versions, so you'll have to reenter your data when you upgrade.

Completely Customizable! A+++

I have deleted all of my list apps after finding this one. It is clean- you add only the options you want to each list. I have grocery lists, to do, bills paid, packing lists per destination, a gifts list, wines to try....everything organized in one app. There is a note section for each item to write details (price, total, size, brand, quantity). Previously you couldn't do this all in one app. You can have check boxes, due dates, badge #, priorities, abc or manual ordering, email your lists, multiline titles, check all, clear all checks, copy list/items- whatever.I can't believe it is free. Thanks for making this app so user friendly. Looking forward to more apps from this company.
