Shortcut Home Automations support

Can we get support for shortcut home automations? I’d like my signals to run when certain people arrive home. Example, different colors while pulse depending on who has arrived home

It has promise

I like the concept and it is made well. However, aside from the pulse command, I don’t believe anything done through this app would be awfully hard to make a shortcut for. Perhaps I missing something? Nevertheless the app has a good foundation to grow on.

Simple & Effective, w/ a Hidden Power

Using the app was very intuitive, I felt right at home! Once unlocked, creating unique Signals gives the App real power. Being able run Signals or flash lights in Siri Shortcuts is a game changer. With two people working from home, it’s nice to flash the lights when I start and stop work to let my SO know when I’m on break. We also flash the lights for dinner and lunch. I’m excited to start incorporating this app into other shortcuts soon.

Almost There

I like the concept of this app. If there is a way to integrate this with automations for when someone arrives or a sensor goes off would be sweet. If there is a workaround to do this, please let me know.

Physical button support for Shortcuts!

Since diving into HomeKit a few years ago, I'm going really deep now and appreciating the ability to use my Aqara buttons to trigger Shortcuts. The app goes beyond what it orignally said on the tin and the developer is very responsive. These are the kinds of developers I love to support.

What a great app

Not only are singals fun but the ability to run a shortcut from a triggered automation (from macOS Monterey) is a game changer! Love the UI feals very similar to HomeKit so its easy to understand. Awesome developer support as well. Can't wait to see what all I do with this app.

Does Not Work Consistently

I love the simple concept of this app, however, every time I open the app up it gives me the message of “Looking for lights”. So I have to close out the app completely and open it back up in order to get it to work. If that was fixed, I would rate it 5 stars.

Free

I like the app but I think there should be no price or fee to unlock the full app. because we are ready pay for the bulbs witch I think is really expensive because i thought flashing would come with the light bulbs so I don't want to have to pay a fee to get the flash with Siri.

Good start, needs some polish

Creating a new signal and deciding which lights to direct is easy enough. But not terribly intuitive when you get to the “signal” commands. Selecting the color of the signal doesn’t seem to work consistently among other little issues. I purchased the paid version because It seems to have promise. Appreciate the effort the developer made and hope they continue to refine!

Sound recognition features?

I enjoy your app for getting the attention but I wonder if you are planning the sound recognition that connects HomeKit ?

*** Featured by Shane Whatley - "Will let you flash any of your HomeKit lights.. and either set the light back to the original state… or set it to a new state after flash. Really cool stuff!" *** Featured on 9to5Mac.com - "as a dad of three, I need less noise in our house, so I am really enjoying using Signals for HomeKit" *** Featured on iMore.com - “create tons of distinct signals that cover scenarios like announcing dinner time, or letting someone know that they are taking a little too much time in the shower.” *** Featured on AppleInsider.com - "Our favorite tips and tricks for making the most out of Apple HomeKit" *** Featured on HomeKitNews.com - "save your lungs, and get this app" *** Featured on HomeKitHero.com - "clever way to get someone’s attention in your home" Communication at home takes many forms — we want more of the dinner-time conversations, but we could do with less of the loud knocking on doors, banging on ceilings, and shouting up stairs.

If you have a HomeKit home, why not take advantage of it, and use your lights to help communicate? Introducing Signals for HomeKit, the best way to communicate in the home, without all the shouting. Signals works with any of your bulbs, switches or outlets with lights attached - have a kid who plays video games with headphones on? Just tap on their light to give it a few flashes. Take it to a new level with the Signals Plus In-App Purchase, and put some meaning behind your flashes: - Create a Time to Go Signal to flash the kids bedroom lights, and then set their night lights green - A Dinner Time Signal can pulse lights in the bedrooms and the office, and then set them to blue - Even setup a “GET DOWN HERE NOW” signal, to flash the kids’ lights red, and keep them that way! Trigger your Signals in multiple ways — in the app, with your voice or automations using Siri Shortcuts, or with our beautiful Widgets! Whether you have kids, or someone in the family with a hearing disability, Signals for HomeKit can help quiet things down, and keep the conversations face to face, rather than shouted through the house. Requirements - Any HomeKit equipped light bulb, switch or outlet. Switches or outlets must be configured with a light attached. HomeKit must already be configured. - Compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. iOS 15 required. Usage Notes: - If you have a bulb or switch with a slow ramp/fade rate, try shortening this rate in the manufacturers app, if the flash isn't noticeable - if this doesn't work, please let us know at https://www.homemadeautomation.com/contact-us, so we can help find a solution!
