Wonderful App

This United Nations app makes it easy to help fight hunger in refugee camps and developing nations. Donations start at US $0.50, and are one-off, with the option (but no pressure) to schedule monthly payments. Every question I could think of to ask about the app and its associated program is explained clearly in the FAQs, and there are well-integrated options for building or joining fundraising teams, sharing on social media, and scheduling reminders.I also appreciate being able to choose where (out of several different initiatives) my donation goes to help — the need is real in each situation, but different people may feel most strongly about a particular food crisis. While I live below the poverty line in the United States, I’m well aware of the privileges I in particular hold, and of the basic necessities living in a developed nation affords me.Even when I don’t feel I have much, knowing that a $0.50 donation will provide an entire day’s food for someone’s child means I can still help, and that ability is precious to me. Together, we can make sure people have tomorrows. —And brighter tomorrows, at that.

Too much overhead

POSITIVES: I love this app as it makes donating food to those in need a breeze. It is easy to use and makes it convenient for people to donate either one time or on an ongoing basis. I absolutely adore the feature of matching donors to actual families. I have been a donor for the past couple of years. NEGATIVES: Only 62% of your donated dollars go toward actual meals. I did a comprehensive research on several charity rating websites, and that number is abysmal. Top rated hunger charities perform much better in terms of overhead management. Ideally, 85-95% of the money should reach those who actually need it. No wonder they increased the cost of a meal from $0.50 to $0.80. That’s a whopping 60% increase in expenses overnight!CONCLUSION: As of now, I’m going to pause and reflect on whether my dollars can be better spent with other charities with a similar mission.

I always wanted to give to those in needs. This app make it happed easily❤️

Giving to those in needs in the world has always been my dream. I made myself a promise to make so much money and giving all out to the world who need help. You know this is almost impossible for me, I don't make much money. But this app make it happen. Now I can give as much as I can afford to the children and people who need help. I'm so glad and thanks for this programme. Together, let's make the world better. (Sorry for my English because it is second language for me)

Fast and Easy!

This app makes it super convenient to help those who are in need around the world. Just enter your details and after that, you are only ever one-click away from donating. Donate as little as $0.50, which is enough to provide one meal for a starving individual. Just hoping the app can be more broad to include other third world countries. Especially, Yemen right now with their humanitarian crisis. Have been suffering from hunger and war for years and years, and now with Covid-19, Yemen could be wiped off the maps. Please help anywhere you can as PEOPLE need us. Those living in developed countries have it so good compared to those living in third world countries, who are not far off from dying due to war, violence, hunger, oppression, disease etc. So $0.50 is nothing. Donate now and donate often. Everyday, if not then every other day, once a week or once a month. If the saying: “Every little counts/helps,” has ever been more true, it’s right now. It’s when you help others. $0.50 cents add up!

Great idea!!

I feel like I sound like a grandma with that kind of title, but I just really love that someone made this app. Through the ocean of GoFundMes and whatnot, it’s hard not to feel guilty knowing you’re basically picking and choosing who to help. This app lets us see how much aid is being provided and how much we contribute. I’m only doing a little bit a month, and I still feel guilty about not doing more, but I wanted to help and knew I needed to help in some way, and this definitely seems like the best way to go, at least for now! I hope there will be more apps like this in the future that streamline the support. Please consider downloading this app and helping out!!

This is a very good & helpful app!✨

In these days and times it’s good to be able to give and share with people all around the world who may be struggling and going through tough circumstances. Giving through Share The Meal means we all have a chance to give whatever we can to make sure other people and families are getting food & proper nutrition every day without worries. Once I found that Share The Meal makes sure that the finances we share with them really do get to each and every country they sponsor, it was a no-brainer & relief to know that there are people who really do care about those in need and take the time to feed everyone no matter their age, background or culture. Thank you for giving all of us the means to contribute to a worthy cause because we all are truly one and God wants us to love and help each other!

Thank you 💙

I always wanted to help those and need even if I didn’t have much to give. With this app, I can see where the money is being sent to. Share with others to let them know they could be helping as well. I’m so happy to be a part of something so much bigger than myself. I try to donate blood when local blood drives come around and donate when I eat out to hospitals and children. But this I can help someone right at my finger tips and just in a few clicks I’ve helped people in need. I will continue to donate and encourage others to do the same. 1 World 1 Love 💙

Love!

This app is truly amazing. It’s never been easier to give to people in need and they let you know exactly where your money is going. You can save your card or PayPal so all it takes is one click and you help someone. The app is extremely easy to navigate, full of helpful information, and gives you so many different payment options so if you can’t give a lot, that’s ok too. I personally do weekly donations of $3.50 and that feeds one child every day for a whole week. But, the app lets you do daily .50 donations or $15 monthly per child. If everyone can step in and do small donations, we can stop world hunger in such a small amount of time.

An incredible charity app

I love how quick and simple it is to provide meals to people, just donate and done! Whenever I’m feeling down about the world I remember that I can help people all over the world who really need it now more than ever. Food is culture, it’s stability, it’s life. You can give that gift so that mother’s don’t have to worry about how they are going to feed their children, and that they can be nourished and healthy. You can help, get this app, it’s easy, it’s heartwarming and it just makes sense. Thank you WFP for all that you do! ❤️ With love from the USA 🇺🇸
