Ticks all the boxes

I've loved Gamehouse games for years now, though I haven't played every single one, but somehow this one is irresistible right from the start. What a great idea to make this kind of game into a Regency-era romance. Haven't even finished the first five levels, but I can see a lot of work and attention to detail went into this one. Very fun! Keep them coming!

Enjoyable Game

I enjoyed this game, as I have all the other games made by this developer (Square Root of Tree) for Gamehouse. I would’ve liked it to be a bit more difficult, the most difficult setting was still pretty easy, but overall… the plot was cute/ entertaining, there were no flaws/ bugs and I appreciate the play for free with ad option. It also had a unique setting I haven’t seen used before in a time management game.

BORING!!! You guys give the members who actually subscribe and pay a monthly fee, the worst games now. They move horribly, it’s the same thing over and over again, no depth nothing new just boredom!! However you do put major work in the “delicious world” and other app games that require no monthly fee cause you can RIP people off with those games easily so us monthly payers get the same old raggedy game, can’t upgrade equipment anymore, it’s just unacceptable and this we be my and my family’s last month subscribing and paying for anything GameHouse. Hope one day you can return to the time when you actually cared about your subscribers and people who actually pay a monthly subscription for the trash you are now creating!! GOODBYE!!!

Great graphics and music but…

These new time management games are better in graphics and music but the gameplay is dumbed down. No more timing multiple tasks, challenges and customers getting annoyed and losing hearts quickly if you don’t complete something in time. It’s easy to get 3 stars on every level even if you don’t chain tasks. It’s extremely boring and a slog to get through. I feel like the reliance is on the story from one level to the next but the gameplay is bland, repetitive and just grabbing items for people or tapping the screen to do a mini-task. It was bad before with the other square root games but this one takes the cake for lazily designed gameplay.

10/10 gamehouse experience once again!

i have always been in love with all gamehouse games. i’ve played nearly all of them (my favorites being the Emily ‘Delicious’ series!! and a few others of course). this game was so fun! honestly would love to see a part 2 to this one, with (spoiler alert) working at the orchard :D i loved the story and the different rooms, i never get tired of these truly!

Period drama for games

Pride and Prejudice anyone? This is a Delicious Emily style game with P&P -ish story line. Really nice graphics and game play. Minor gripes: 1. This is the ugliest mouse ever! And is it a cross with Dumbo with such big ears? Really doesn’t fit such a beautiful aesthetics for this game. 2. The sound you make when achieves the goal in a level, isn’t that the “you didn’t meet the goal” sound…Urks me every time. Can you change it to a pleasant sound for meeting the goal?

No bugs but please stop the waiting period to buy!!!

I have bought and played every single story driven time management game GameHouse has issued. It was so disappointing having to wait before buying the full game, in a terrible sales ploy to get you to sign up for a membership that makes no sense to buy if you’ve already paid for all historical games like me. They just aren’t releasing enough games on this platform quick enough to justify the cost. I deduct two stars as a result of this unsuccessful sales tactic, and if it continues, I’m giving up on this publisher entirely. I bristled at the theme of this game at first, but there are a couple twists that make this a slightly more feminist and inclusive game (no spoilers!). Telling young girls that they need to get married to be accepted in society is not great messaging, regardless of the time period. 😒Glad we had a new game, but hopefully GH will do better in the future. Please continue the storyline of some of your other popular titles, without a waiting period please!!!

Disappointing

I’m still waiting for another time management series that is as good as Primrose Lake and the Delicious series. The major issue with this game is that it isn’t challenging. With it on difficult and hints/tutorials turned off, I was able to earn 3 stars on every level on first play through. Also there were usually multiple characters that still needed to be checked out when the three stars were earned. The levels are unnecessarily long and everyone comes in rounds so you don’t have to keep track of customers and there’s no decision making needed (I.e earn the quick service bonus vs wait for a chain bonus, etc). There are multiple levels I’ll quick play in Primrose Lake 2 and 3 that are quite challenging but there isn’t one level in this game that I would want to play again. Nor will I do another play through. If you’re going to offer a difficult option, then you should make sure that it is just that.

Enjoyable but way too easy

I agree with other reviews about the game being way too easy. With Primrose Lake & Delicious I love to play through and go back to replay levels that I didn’t earn 3 stars but I played through this game 100% without having to replay anything on the hardest setting. By the end of a chapter I was bored, there was no challenge anywhere in the game for people that are used to playing similar gamesI was really looking forward to this one since I have played all the others fully and it took less than 1 day with nothing left to replay. If there is an update or part 2 I’m hoping hard setting is actually challenging or even a nightmare mode. I admit I skipped over most of the story, the main character wasn’t very interesting or likable like Alison & Emily, she felt shallowI think for a beginner it would be great but for people that are fans and long time players of the main stories it wasn’t on the level that I’ve come to love.

Disappointed

Pros: super calm play through, kind of mindless if you’re looking to chill out. Amazing graphics. Cons: The more I played the game the more I started to really dislike lots about it. The speech and etiquette of the time period is way off, Jane is a very dis likable main character, the stuff she says it’s so hard to like her or root for her, I don’t understand why there are so many side “games” within the levels, for example the ballroom levels, the dance card & dance moves side game is so tedious and annoying you can’t get into your time management groove without stopping to do those obnoxious repetitive side quests. I’m not finishing this game.
