Amazing!

This is honestly one of the best games ever created. I played this game a while back and wanted to write a review and then read some Sissyboy (no joke) tear this beautiful, creative, highly intelligent game to pieces with some whiny complaint about wanting money back. Hey you can charge me again just to refund this guy so that he goes away. Plz. This is an awesome game! It was pure joy playing it. Each level becomes more challenging, but each puzzle is logical and makes sense. Sometimes you have to look at things from another angle- I love that! I also never sent a game where the developers responded to each and every review. Very impressive! This is such a creative group of people. And now... did I see a sequel coming soon?!!!!! So excited. If you thinking whether to get this game, GET IT! Don’t read that hater’s review who wants the money back. He couldn’t get past level two that’s obvious. The beauty of this game is it’s simplicity and those who find it “boring” missed the entire point of it. Can’t wait for the sequel!!!!! Thank you for a really great game!!!!

Game reset

Update: the method provided by the developer worked to choose a level. It’s not the easiest method to find (I thought the yellow arrow was like a play button, not a next button). Great game with a few menu issues, but 5 stars! Original review below.I was enjoying the game and made it to level five, when I decided to restart the level. Unfortunately the menu controls are absurd and there is no way that I could find to select a different level and it sent me back to the beginning of the game - level 1! I chose ‘continue’ after to try to get back to level 5, but it sent me back into the beginning of 1. What’s the point of playing if you’ll need to start from scratch every time you want to change levels? Very disappointing.

Great Puzzler Game

I don’t play a lot of games but a friend recommended this to me since it was a featured game. When I looked at the store page, the video really drew me in so I decided to buy it, and so far I am glad I did. I am not that far into the game but some of the puzzles are throwing me for a loop. I like the art style as it sort of pulls me into another world. When a tree just pops out of the ground, that is so neat. Anyone that likes puzzles or brain teaser games will love this game set in a very unique world. Well done, you might get me playing more games now.

Keeps You Interested

Like one reviewer stated, “it’s like Monument Valley on steroids”. That’s what made me give it a try, and that it had so many levels. I read through the other reviews and giggled at the one star, which compared this to Machinarium, AND, said it was too easy after only 2-3 levels. This is not even the same type of game, so you need to go elsewhere. If you like Monument Valley, you’ll love this. And, this gets harder fast...as the levels progress. You continually have to change how you look at things, which is brilliant! The Devs have done an amazing job by making it beautiful environment that changes just when you get comfy. Perfect! Bravo!

Really fun shifting puzzle game

I haven’t downloaded a really good puzzle game in a long time, the last ones I thought were this good were Monument Valley and it’s sequel but this is no copycat and really holds its own; the theme, feel, and action are more exciting whereas MV was more meditative. I’m on level 20 and am really enjoying this, I’ve been getting lost for hours and am going to miss it after I finish! There is a reset button that takes you back to the last accomplishment you earned in each level if you get stuck (not the beginning of the level), a hint system that shows you cause and effect of what moves you made, and you can turn the music and sounds off if you want. I recommend this game highly if you like puzzle games like Monument Valley. It’s not a fast paced action game or shoot ‘em up game. It’s a rotating puzzle game with interesting mazes and nice, detailed scenery to get immersed in.

Roterra, Soothing and maddening all at the same time!

I loved this. It is the impossible angles with a twist kind of puzzle with soothing music and settings. I admit that several of the puzzles towards the end drove me crazy in a good way. You just have to step back and look at it again with a fresh eye. I know there are even “helps”, cute little plants or marks but with a brain injury that actually sent me off in a weird path. The hubby said it was logical (I am not) so I kept them up for the garden alone. The developers also offer other “help” when needed..WOO HOO....they actually care enough to see everyone through this if needed. I was able to finish with only a long stretches and it was a great way to relax (doing something difficult IS my way of having fun). I love the impossible physics type games...reminds me of me. I SO hope another setting or chapter will be in the works. I want to sign up now! Thank you to all who made this delightful treat! I used to do closed game testing and it is always noticeable when the game team have created a flawless little treat for us. Thanks for the time it took to be away from family while getting this out to us. “More please?” Oh, I know you are also educators, this was great fun for someone who also has dyslexia (I think that actually helps) and ADHD AND was a teacher). THANK YOU

Addictive!!

I absolutely love this game! It’s great stimulation for the brain. Each level becomes more difficult or offers something different. The type of person that gets bored with this game probably masters everything in 5 minutes and gets bored with everything! I for one am enjoying every second while experiencing a multitude of emotions, from frustration to elation but never boredom. I’m disappointed that I only have two levels left. And the icing on the cake is that their is no in-app purchase just the small up front fee. More than worth it!!

In a word, Sensational.

Beautifully functional graphics, easy learning curve, smooth movement control and to my great pleasure, an incredibly high level of re-playability. Well worth the price as it has lots of levels (20, I think, but I may be wrong) and goes from relatively simple to incredibly complex. First time through took me a while...a long, satisfying experience. But in my case, never too hard to eventually get right. And the graphics really are beautiful, especially the waterfalls and the green glow in the “dungeon” levels. On nearly every level of this game, what seemed impossible led to an “Aha!” moment and a great sense of accomplishment. Well Done! More please...😺Addendum: I am on my eighth trip through this game and am still finding more to love! And yes, guys, FOUND THE ROCK SPIDERS!!! Truly engrossing and rewarding game. Again I say well done! Sequel? Bonus levels? Action figures?😺I don’t do social media so I’ll skip the stickers 😺 but thanks! I certainly FEEL like your number one fan! You make more levels and continue being clever and I’ll keep playing...keep up the great work!

First class

Excellent *spiritual* successor to Monument Valley.I loved the way the worlds were based upon cubes, and the mechanics that involved 2nd characters. Music was a tad repetitive and I'd personally like the ability to zoom in andout, along with being able to pan and spin independently of movement, but these are minor quibbles that don't otherwise detract from a quality offering. All in all this was a great little game from this dev team and I'm excited to see what else they deliver in the future. If anyone is on the fence after seeing the very few negative reviews, ignore them and look at all the 4 and 5 star ones and remember that there's some folk out there who delight in criticizing even though they themselves would be unable to do any better.I'm a cheap so and so. I very very rarely pay for games (preferring to wait for either free or heavily discounted ones), and rarer see till do I pay for any from new developers with no proven track record. Tickled pink I gambled and won with this one.

Stunningly beautiful!

This game is by far the best new game I have played in years! The developers created a world that is visually captivating and feels very M. C. Escher-ish at times. It was challenging enough to feel satisfied when completing a level, without being so difficult that I lost interest or had to go in search of cheats. I didn’t realize it was only 20 levels, so was super bummed this morning when it was over. Is there a chance for a sequel or other similarly designed game in the future? Thanks for the fun!

In this jumbled world you may need dozens of moves to complete the path and escape the maze, but don't worry about getting stuck: just flip a cube to find a new way out. Find our rock spider monuments tucked into the valleys of the cave walls and more . ---GAME FEATURES--- ▪ 80 Challenging Puzzles over 20 levels ▪ 6+ hours of gameplay ▪ The Puzzles are the Story: change your perspective to find the path ▪ No Ads, No Timers, No IAP ▪ Download without Wifi, no Internet needed to play ---STORY OF ROTERRA--- Once upon a time, a daring princess defied stereotypes and took her fate into her own hands. Roterra is inspired by ORLANDO FURIOSO, a 16th Century poem about love, power and perception. In Roterra, Princess Angelica must turn cubes to transform dead ends into doorways, toggle switches to reveal staircases and bridges, and even flip the world on its head to find the path and overcome the obstacles set in her way. The puzzles tell the story of a young girl, at first tentative with her newfound magic, growing empowered as she escapes from increasingly difficult mazes created by her power-hungry brother, Orlando.  Traversing the cube-shaped puzzle world of Roterra to regain her rightful place as Queen, Angelica discovers that sometimes the journey matters more than the destination, stereotypes are not to be trusted, and often the only way forward is to change your perspective.
