LOVE THIS APP

I'm a female struggling with sexual self mastery and I'm SO grateful I found this app. I joined a recovery group earlier this year and made significant progress and then when I graduated and quit going to the group a couple months ago, I started slipping again. That's when I found Tribe and it's been helping so much. The pulse checks are a game changer... they're similar to my old habits I would do in my group to keep me checking in throughout the day. The app has made it way easier to accomplish though! I'm now celebrating my small wins too and feeling peaceful again and not feeling like I'm white knuckling all the time :) Thank you for this amazing app and I hope anyone struggling can find Tribe!!

How this App helps our generation

Our generation is struck with ADHD from genetic and environmental circumstances! This app allows your accounting and planning to be in the same place! You can also get good hits of dopamine from interacting with fellow fighters right then and NOW. How good is it to have help immediately with so many youth along with myself struggling right here and now to keep moving forward! Satan’s grasp is slipping! This app is another reason why!!

A platform for support like no other

Relay is a total game changer for anyone looking for support, overcoming addictions, or to purely work on self improvement. I personally wanted to change my life and really didn’t know where to start. Improvement starts with support. Being with people that share the same experiences is a one of a kind experience. Relay uses a unique circle approach, where you can custom design your goals and how you want to attain them. Interacting with your group has to be hands down one of the biggest steps towards bettering yourself. The friendships you make with one another are important for me as I found it has helped me make sense of my shortcomings.You cannot put a price tag on this platform. What you truly get out of it just from the experience alone, pays for itself.Relay’s support team is always looking out for you not just from a platform perspective, but from a personal one as well. Relay “A race needing a team to win”

As a runner I’ve ran plenty of Relays. A relay race is a race ran by 4 people in which the final time comes from the entire team working together with each individual in the races time equally important. It’s a personal and a team race. This app works the same way, everyone has there personal goals that they are trying to accomplish but work together as a team to help, remind, and be there if a teammate gets “injured” or is struggling. Each tries to do their best while helping the team do their best. Though the race is hard, it must be done together! This app helped me keep track, remember and stay motivated in my goals. If your even questioning if you should or not the answer is yes. Go Fight Win

I love this app

I randomly came across this app a few months ago and downloaded it in hopes that I could finally end my porn addiction. I had tried to stop watching porn a million times it felt like, but I kept relapsing and relapsing. Now, I’ve been clean for over 10 weeks. I feel so proud of myself. I 100% recommend this app to anyone trying to stop watching porn. It will help you be accountable for your porn usage and to be surrounded by people who understand the struggle and are also fighting.

Really solid app so far

Considering where they started, this is a really solid app so far. There’s a lot of great ideas and functionality already and I can’t wait to see where it goes from here. It would be nice to have a feedback section of the app to share ideas or bugs, especially this soon after it being released. The addiction recovery aspect is also great, I love being able to connect with and be accountable to peers who can help me when I need it.

Real connection is hard through an app

The developers have said that the app is partly based on the assertion that the opposite of addiction is not sobriety but connection. This is an assertion with potential promise, but it’s difficult to take a handful of random strangers and facilitate real connection between them using only text messaging as a means of communication.This is especially true given that people with addictive tendencies and personalities often have significant personal difficulties in connecting with other people already. I was hopeful when I found this app, but struggled to feel like I was connecting in any meaningful way with other members of my group. Having said that, the app provides a number of valuable tools for accountability, for self reflection and self discovery, and for positive neural reinforcement. Plus, it works hard to facilitate conversation and connection between group members, offering regular prompts and encouragement to share and open up.The success of these connection tools depends not only on one’s personal investment, but on the investment of other group members, which means there isn’t really a way to know how successful it will be. And let’s face it, personal growth is long, difficult, and extremely complicated.

Tribe Makes a Difference

It is difficult to describe what fighting an addiction to pornography is like to those who have not experienced it, or at least something similar. People will always be there for you if reach out for help, but they don’t always GET it like those who have been through it. That’s why Tribe is a game changer. Having earnest, judgment-free conversations through Tribe with others who struggle or have struggled is like a warm hug when you feel most isolated and alone. I’ve never been able to be more open about my successes and setbacks than with my associations from Tribe. I’ve learned from others, and I’ve shared what has worked for me to those who needed more help.Please give Tribe a try and your best efforts, because it will really MEAN somethings in your life and the lives of those you can strengthen. You’re not alone, you’re not isolated, and you’re absolutely not undeserving.

Too religiously based

I found the app itself to be more religious than I was comfortable with. Lots of options to have others “pray for you” and mentions of God in an overtly christian manner. As someone with severe religious trauma, this was very triggering to me. Also, I attempted to get a refund for my 6month subscription but was given the run around. Finally just cut my losses and deleted everything.Update: Chandler from Relay reached out and apologized for any issues I had with the app. He was very professional and seemed concerned. Still not the app for me, but the admin did reach out. Changed from 1 star to 3 stars.

Amazing resource

Incredibly helpful for personal growth and recovery on so many levels. 1. Accountability: This app provides structure for accountability to self and others in several domains including regular emotional “pulse checks”, goal tracking, recovery tracking (for whatever you define as recovery), and regular connection to a group. 2. Consistency: I struggle with consistently pursuing goals & values of mine, and this app has helped me be more regular and consistent. 3. Connection: Being part of a group has been helpful because others can see how you are doing (to an extent, the developers are very clear about privacy). Overall, I would recommend this app to anyone, even if they are not struggling with an addiction. It is just an amazing resource for anyone committed to personal growth.
