Good, but not great

This works, but gets 3 out of 5 stars overall. It looses one star for being slow to display info. It is a couple of seconds behind what is actually being shown on the display. It gets frustrating to touch a control button and then wait a couple of seconds to see a response. It looses a second star for being slow and still costing $50. Overall, really happy with my e7 and the iPad integration. The free RayView is great. However, I was expecting better performance for $50 on the RayControl. Lower the price or, better, re-architect the app to reduce lag/increase performance.

Works great

To the previous reviewer, you have to upgrade your software version on your e7. You will need to download the new version to your computer and then put it on a blank microSD to put into your chartplotter. After you do that it works great! See the Raymarine site for upgrade instructions. Great interface - I can even hear the chartplotter beep when I control it with the IPad.

E7 and Control

Raymarine Control CAN be a wonderful thing when IT decides to work. The when part is a crap shoot. I'm on a 20+ day cruise. It worked great the first 2 days now wont. The fail message says it sees my devise but will not display. I scrubbed the app and reloaded. I rebooted the e7 and the ipad. Several times. Maybe by day 19 IT will decide to work again. This is not the first time going through this. Btw this is my third e7 unit in about 3 years . Great product testing. Won't see this posted!!

Poorly written app with horrible Ray Marine Tech support

I've been using this app for five months now very poorly written, app it loses connectivity via Wi-Fi constantly. Only way to get it to work again is re-join the axiom Wi-Fi from both iPad and iPhone.I contacted Ray Marine took me several hours to actually speak to a human being was told by supposedly "lead technician" that "New app was going to be released in the next couple of weeks" that fixes stability issues and control. This was back in January still no app update. Notice the dates on the reviews many many years old.Why no data privacy policy Ray Marine? As you can see I am an unhappy New 2021 customer of $5000 worth of RayMarine equipment including Axiom+ EV 100 auto pilot and accessories.I'm guessing this is why Ray Marine is considered the worst marine equipment manufacturer in the industry today!
