User Reviews for Random Mahjong Pro

Exquisite gameplay

I own every mahjong app that's sold in the iTunes App store and I have to say this is rapidly becoming one of my favorites. I love the levels available, nice UI and great graphics. For .99, you're actually getting a bargain and the hard level is surprisingly challenging. I was a bit skeptical at first when I saw it on my recommendations because I've downloaded a few apps with positive reviews and I didn't find them so great. This one is very awesome 

Mahjong delight!

I've played many solitaire Mahjong games over the years and have grown kind of tired of them since they're all basically the same. This is the first one in quite a while that really engaged me with a intriguing play style and an interesting challenge, I really like the expanding board levels and lives. Highly recommended for any Mahjong lover. And they are right in the description -- the game looks incredible on the iPad.

Terrific Mahjong game

This is the best Mahjong game I've found in the app store so far. It has customization options for tiles, displays, "free" tiles, backgrounds and zoom, while still maintaining a clean and appealing user interface. Well done! The graphics are beautiful and the animation is smooth. I love the auto-zoom feature! Three difficulty levels and the use of "lives" when you run out of matches gives the game an arcade feel. It would be awesome if they added a Zen mode with a shuffle option for a more relaxed game play. The sound effects are fine but the option to add background music (either preloaded or from iPod) would be a nice addition as well. Even without these additions though, I'd still recommend this app to anyone who enjoys playing Mahjong.

Great addicting game

This game has great graphics and animations and its addicting as all hellit has different difficulty levels for the "campaign" where you have to complete increasingly complex puzzles and have a certain number of lives to do it in. theres also the really cool random game generator which from what i've seen comes up with new maps every time. that is probably one of the best things about the game, its customizable from the face type of the playing pieces to the background of the playing fieldthe one thing I would say needs improvement is some sort of explanation for the options along the bottom of the playing field, those confused me a little. But besides that its a very good grab for the asking price.

surprisingly elegant

I've been using 3D mahjong for quite a few months and enjoyed it, but pretty much solved every puzzle. I purchased Random Factor Mahjong and thought I'd be unhappy with a 2D version. Not so. This app is quite elegant in the presentation and the game play allows the user to pick easy, med., and hard. Hard is really challenging so there's plenty of game play.

Very nice implementation!

This is a very nice implementation of the mahjong solitaire/matching game. The graphics a nice and sharp on my iPad, and I like the ability to change the mahjong tiles and the background. The game is also fast and responsive. If I have one gripe, it's that I'd like to have the option to play a defined game with a specific solution, as well as the ability to re-shuffle tiles. It's no fun getting near the end of a session, on to discover that there are no move moves left. The current implementation tells you there are no more moves and then it restarts the level again. Not horrible on the "easy" level, but it must be very annoying on the harder levels! Other than that...very nicely done!

Not just another Mahjong Tile Matching game...

Sure the store already has dozens of Mahjong Tile Matching games, but this one actually offers a few unique twists.1) The most obvious cool gimmick is right in the name (and why many of you know I have to love it), RANDOM! This doesn't simply mean a layout is chosen randomly but it is created right there on the fly.2) All levels are guaranteed to be solvable with the right combination of moves. If you manage to solve the level on your first try you'll earn an extra life and a nice point bonus but if you fail it will mean a loss of a life and being forced to reattempt the same layout with the same shuffle (so be sure to remember where you got stuck before so as not to repeat the same mistake). Even if you run out of lives the game will let you still work on solving the board (but for no points).3) Each successful level will lead you to a new tougher level (more tiles) to attempt until you finally reach your match.4) There is no timer in this game. Take as long as you want to contemplate your moves.5) Lastly, a staple in the Shoecake games, you'll get a little evaluation of your score at the end...was it rather weak or unbelievably brilliant? Only the game knows for sure.

Yes! and Aarghh!

Still one of the apps I use the most on my phone. I have been playing for years now. I love this game and it's beautiful to look at.**Update—with the iOS 11 update, the in-app leaderboards disappeared from the paid version. I don’t NEED to see who I’m better than to enjoy the game, but it’s a pretty cool feature.
