Amazing

I’ve noticed most of the complaints are about the game being too difficult and magic stones being hard to obtain but I’ve had the game a year and I’m rank 394 and have completed the normal and technical dungeon modes and 497 special dungeons. Having a powerful team is mostly about the leader skill and not the monsters themselves Currently I have a team of five and six star monsters but because I get eight times the attack and twice the health I’ve beaten several dungeons on annihilation difficulty with a duplicate helper while only using one to three magic stones to win As for obtaining magic stones quests at the top of the screen are a good place and you get one every time you complete a dungeon bracket Absolutely love the game still some dungeons I can’t beat but I enjoy the difficulty only criticism is it seems illogical for a monster to absorb an attack that’s above a certain amount of damage or below a certain amount of combos I understand voiding the damage in the case of some sort of shield but not healing from it also would be nice if multiple skills and/or a versus mode could be developed but this is the best mobile device game I’ve ever played

Game is excellent but the friend system needs work

I have little to complain about this game and highly recommend it, but sometimes I am very frustrated by the friend system. Essentially you cannot play most dungeons unless you have a helper. This means that if you don’t have a second account or are in possession of that monster in duplicate, you are reliant on the friend system by which you use the monsters of other people and add them hoping they will accept you. Most of the time, if my play has been interrupted or reduced in quality, it is by this system. Even if I spent magic stones to increase the friend number, the suggestions made by the game are often abysmal. Instead of offering you options that you can use, it will present you with anything but what you need. Tossing money at it doesn’t help, you still have to wait for the game to offer you new helper monsters. This can sometimes take a while before anything useful pops up and completely take the fun out of playing.I can understand limiting a players choices according to what they are willing to spend, but in this case even liberal spenders are prevented from playing if they choose to only have one account. I would recommend a change in this system and hope it improves in the future.

Great Game, but Coddles New Players Too Much

I’ve been playing PAD for about four years now, and very much love it. A simple, fun game to play in between boring classes and such, but recently they have been making it much too easy for new players. About a month ago, they had an event where over a month they gave out 200 magic stones (the in-game currency that usually costed money) and had a very good egg machine (where you could get new monsters), and my level one friend got some of the ten most overpowered monsters in the game, giving him a team nearly as good as mine. It was also sort of disappointing that he had enough starting team cost to be able to use them, where I recall two years ago grinding to level up to increase my team cost so that I could use my favorite monsters together, where he had to do nothing. One dungeon later, specifically and Experience of a Lifetime with x24 experience and a Ganesha as a helper leader, he was level 100 in his first day of playing with one of the best possible teams. Don’t get me wrong, I love this game, but I’d love it a lot more if it felt like a i was rewarded at all for my years of grinding.

I just cant

I’ve tried with this game, i really have. Loved it back in the day, cane back years later and it was starting to get a little buy to win, or new user unfriendly, but now its just blech. Its sad because the concept on the puzzle play is a fantastic and trailblazing take on the bejeweled style game, and the artists are top notch when they’re not making the same copy and paste anime girl, but it has become such a slog now. Of the literal thousands of characters, only about 10 or so are ever going to be useful at a time for about a month or so until they slap in their next overpowered hard to get unit tied under either an impossible dungeon unless you have the last greatest team they had, or have grinded so relentlessly that your life became pad. They did the same thing yugioh did and i just cant play it anymore. The second a game has a one turn insta kill move when you have a team of super ultimate gods, i class it as a bad game or atleast bad developers. Play this game for a quick while to get your neuron activation joy for a few weeks and then drop it, anything past the base game is basically CBT.

I really love this game.

By far the best mobile game out there. You can use real money to get stone to attain gods but it’s not necessary when they give free stuff. Most I’ve spent at a time is 5$ on bargain sets but without that I had monsters that let me beat any dungeon in the game. Been playing for 4 years back in high school this game was a challenge but after some practice I can do 7 combo+ on every board. But I have to admit I would not have gotten so far without the growing community for this game. The game is big in Japan but the English community mainly TylerPAD and MantasticPAD has helped greatly improve my skill, know what monsters are best, what team to use at certain times and when to use my I game currency on newly released content. I’d say this game is a solid 10/10. It’s not pay to win like most mobile games and hard work pays off. Granted you may not have the team to beat the most difficult stuff but eventually you will get Gods or they will buff something you already have. I like when they give free stones but I wish I had money to show my support to the developers. Metatron number 1 waifu.

2000 Days

After playing for over 2000 days I can finally right a review. Once you clear everything and reach end game the game becomes stale. The only content you have is the Egg Machine/Gacha and Arena. There really isn’t much else to do in this game once you reach the top. Just run the same dungeons over and over and spend on the Gacha for stuff that you will probably not use. They have monthly dungeons you can do but even those are just the same dungeons every month. The events that they bring are mostly the same. Farm the materials from a dungeon and exchange them for either cards or other materials. The Ranking dungeons are mostly RNG and are annoying to play, but it’s a nice feeling when you get a crown score. You don’t even need to spend in this game, it’s definitely free to play friendly it’s just the lack of content and stuff to do becomes so boring end game that the only content there is is the Gacha. I think I’m giving this a fair rating just because the game deserves it. It’s been around for so long and I think it’s reaching its limit soon. It’s been fun playing 3p and 2p with my friends but I won’t be playing anymore. It was fun while it lasted. I hope everyone enjoys the game as much as I did. Cya.

Longest played phone game, depth, variety

I have played PAD for many years pretty casually. There is a lot of variety and it is very F2P friendly but it is also there are also a variety of good values for some money. My husband spends now and then, but I have not. There is always more to do in the game, at least for me. Sure, many have reached a point where they have completed the static content, but some things change regularly, and there are always new things coming out. If anything, IMO, new meta heroes get superseded a bit too quickly these days. However, you can always challenge yourself by learning and mastering a new playstyle. There are many leaders now that allow you to conquer content fairly easily with the right team, like the ones that add combos and give high attack multipliers after meeting a simple condition, but you can also do some farming with a cross, rainbow, or 7 combo team to hone your skills for crown earning. It's a great game if you are tired of churning through game after game. Must enjoy puzzling, collecting, and have some tolerance for repetition as you often need to farm the same dungeon for materials--coop can make this faster.

Best game ever if you got commitment

This game takes time to learn. The mechanics are hard to master and after 2 years I still can’t even use some leaders because of the complicity of their mechanics. This game is generous with freebies and is totally playable for f2p players. I am still one and I’m doing just fine, even on par with some that have bought items. If you want to get started it is highly recommended to find someone who already plays to teach you since trying to learn on your own will just discourage you from the game as there are not many good resources apart from the PuZzles and dragons guide made by players or the subreddit. Over all this has got to be one of the best games on mobile because of how much content is added every week. The fact that you don’t need to spend a dime. The creators give hundreds of dollars worth of freebies. (Example) month or two ago we received 200 magic stones for free. Which equals to about $200 I think. That is insane. Great game if you take the time to learn it!

Great Game

The game very pretty balanced, and they will keeping adding new contents to keep things interesting, and they are very kind. They give players gifts! Last month or two, they game 100 gems, and now they gave 100 again! They just give you the gems and you get to choose what you want to do with them, but most players with just spend the gems on the dragonbound event. They also do collaborations with different anime! I would recommend this game, but it depends on you if your willing to spend your time playing it. I have been playing this game for almost 3 years, and in the beginning, I only used 5$, but it is unnecessary, since it is so easy to get gems now! You just need to know when to roll and create teams that work well with each other. There are also tutorials or examples of how to beat dungeons. Also, some cards sometime won’t be as strong as others in one dungeons, so that’s why you have to sometime make the best team within you collections to beat that dungeon. I truly enjoy this game but sadly, the Japanese server seems to get the better deal then the US server. I have no problem with that, but I still think it would just be easier to just have the contents as one. But overall, this is a great game.

Worth the effort

I’ve seen more than a few comments flaming this game but, like others have said, it’s not for casuals. If you can put in the effort, it becomes worth your time and is extremely rewarding to clear some of the tougher dungeons. I’m still only around Lvl 170 and I can’t claim to have been playing for very long but I still have a great lineup for a team. Remember to always save up for events like godfest and monster hunter. DO NOT ROLL on other events, as many think the egg machines will give you good leaders no matter what, but it’s a complete trap to make you use up your eggs and thus take longer to progress. It also helps to do 2 player dungeons. I have a few friends who have carried me through dungeons I would never be able to complete on my own and that helps speed up the team building process as well. Look up events online and most definitely get a companion app for this game. I got Pad guide and it works great (free). Over all, remember to not give up and grind out the normal dungeons even though they may not seem worth it. Their point is to give gems, not monsters. SELL EVERYTHING but monsters you look up and will lead to a solid team lineup. You can farm for materials when the need arises.
